Highly recommend! A charming, comfortable & clean house with lovely hosts. The home is filled with old New England charm and has interesting artwork hanging throughout. The hosts were very welcoming and helped make the stay such a delight. The breakfast was delicious and the brownies are amazing! Even if you don’t like brownies, be sure to try them, because they are some of the best I’ve ever had.

Just as I sat down, DETERMINED to write a review that could shed a glimmer of light on how FANTASTIC our weekend at Bird’s Nest was, I read the other reviews, written by those that felt a similar need to sing praises and I thought I was too late, it’s already been said, I have nothing to add, the art, the coziness, the food, the cider… everyone touched on these, so what more could I possibly have to say… (But I always do) So just one additional reflection to help offer anyone on the edge some insight as to why you should stay here for a night or two. Over the course of our short stay, I went from feeling like a customer to feeling like a honored houseguest. My wife remarked a similar notion, that somehow we had actually spent the weekend in a private home with old friends whom we had not seen in ages. We were both sad upon checking out, as one is when parting from a fantastic stay with close friends. So that being said, the Bird’s Nest is a gem and Cathy and Dennis make the setting shine even more splendidly. I almost want to bury this review to keep them to ourselves. We can’t wait to go back!

A first-rate B&B. A very comfortable bed and extremely clean environment. Wonderful artwork by the owner and the best breakfast I’ve ever had at a B&B anywhere in the world. Didn’t want to leave.

Old world Americana meets artistic awesomeness! I cannot begin to tell you how amazing this place is! The owners are the kindest and most helpful inn keepers I have ever stayed with. Especially Cindy! She has an amazing warmth and energy that just makes you want to be her friend. A+ hospitality doesn’t begin to describe how well we were treated. I seriously felt pampered and spoiled. The inn itself has a fantastic energy. You are surrounded by amazing art both new and old. I felt relaxed and welcome the moment I stepped on the property. Huge hammock near the flowing stream, old school inn that is like something out of a movie, kind and funny hosts including Cindy’s mother who is such an amazing personality! Super comfortable bed, rare and iconic fixtures throughout and a great big olé bathroom! Last but not least is the GOURMETFOOD!!! OMG!!! I was in fat guy Heaven here!!! Cindy makes lavender butter for her homemade muffins and bread!!! That’s right people, lavender butter!!! If it were socially acceptable, I would have licked my plate clean!!! That was just for starters too. She made the most delicious eggs I think I have ever tasted. Mixed with garden fresh herbs and cheese! I had a total FOODGASM!!! Bottom line is this. If you want to come to one of the most beautiful locations in America, STAYHERE! I have not had a more relaxing vacation. The price is more then fair and the highest compliment I can pay the owners is the fact that I will be back! Thanks for a great stay!!!

My wife and I stayed here and let me tell u this cozy Bed and breakfast is perfect. The hospitality from beginning to end made me feel a tad guilty. The breakfast alone was past restaurant quality. Stuffed French Toast!!! Mmm mmm. A definite return trip for us us in order. Keep up the Good Work!

A cute and relaxing bed and breakfast! We stayed in the Hummingbird Room, which was really nice with a private bathroom. It’s about 30 minutes from Umass Amherst, which we were visiting. The house itself is very beautiful and has lots of interesting artwork. Pat is a great host and breakfast was delicious!!! It’s made of only local ingredients and she was sure to check ahead to make sure we didn’t have any dietary restrictions. It’s also really close to Shelburne Falls, which has the Bridge of Flowers and the Glacial Potholes. They have lots of local maps and ideas of stuff to do. And the rates are reasonable. It’s a great place for a romantic getaway or a weekend away. Oh and, there is an adorable dog there named Yoda that likes to hang out with guests.

My wife and I stayed here on our wedding night. They left a bottle of champagne for us, which was awfully sweet although the last thing we needed was more booze. Our room was cute and comfortable with a private bathroom. They have a small, old and enthusiastic dog.(Or at least they did at the time… it was a pretty old dog.) The breakfast is the big thing, though. They make this egg-based thing called a Bird’s Nest that’s honestly the best breakfast I’ve ever had. It was so good I nearly cried while I ate it. I highly recommend the place.
