Love this small town coffee shop. My favorite is a resolution latte. Food is good too! The staff is friendly and always willing to please.

Nice location, polite wait staff, reasonable prices. Coffee drinks are made consistently – very good, unimposing roasts of coffee used that can also be consumed black. Housemade cookies and snacks available at the counter, as well as limited offerings of teas, and daily soup/sandwich lunch specials. Atmosphere is trendy and the facility has always been very clean. Needs a bit of warmth in there in the winter though – maybe a fake fireplace or some warmer toned lights would take the edge off. IMO. Enjoy this place while you can!

Awesome coffee shop with nice ambience. There is an amazing, big table in the back which works well if you want to study with friends. I’ve only had lattes there and the chaider, which is overrated. Lattes were way better. My favorite has been the PSL, which is very different than the one at Starbucks. The only negative thing I have to say is I’m pretty sure they don’t believe in turning on their furnace. I’ve left twice because I have been FREEZING. I get that coffee shops are usually a bit crisp, but come on… They would get 5⁄5 if they just turned on the heater.

Went out for a bike ride and stumbled upon this great café. Delicious scones and expression drinks, in a great atmosphere in downtown. Also, the local craftsman, the Zinc Smith, has on display in back of store some of his unique furniture creations.

It’s ok. I guess this is more of a hipster place which I am not. Coffee is debt the menu is rather light but I suppose this is a coffee house so I shouldn’t be surprised at the light menu. When I’m near this place and want coffee I stop there but it’s not something I drive to from more that 5 miles. Stop and see if for yourself.

Nice little place. Grabbed some grub and coffee, all good. Wifi wasn’t working so well but my Verizon hotspot kept me going.

I’ve enjoyed this café on several occasions. The bagel sandwiches are quiet good. The coffee/espresso is some of the best I’ve had in this area. They also have good tea, but I do wish they had more herbal options. Overall, I’d definitely recommend it.

This coffee shop is an exotic gem in a town of Mountain Dew and white bread. Green tea mint smoothie! Veggie Reuben! Free cucumber mint water! There was even a book club meeting going on. Anyway, this place is super cute. It has board games. We played Chess and Parcheesi. My only gripe is that the prices were a little high. But it’s understandable. I will happily pay them to keep this establishment afloat. :)

We were in Buchanan to eat at Wheatberry originally, but it wasn’t open until 4 :/Came here instead after looking on Unilocal, and I think it was a good choice. It looks like the shop is located in an old bank building. The air conditioner was on high this warm afternoon, and I ended up ordering a mint green tea smoothie and the turkey Gouda wrap with broccoli salad. Yummy smoothie served in a mason jar :) I wanted something light and refreshing for lunch, and they definitely had the type of food I was looking for. If I lived in the area, I would definitely come back for more smoothies. I feel like they’re a little on the pricier side for the area, but I’m not from around here, so I found their prices about on par with other coffee shops I’ve been to.

The coffee is tasty and their green tea mint smoothie is a favorite of mine. I like to take a book in here and read while drinking my refillable coffee. Their drip coffee is rich and flavorful. I even bought a half pound of the Guatamalan($ 10) and tried to emulate it at home… just not as good. The atmosphere is open and nice. The food is all vegan friendly and their eco friendly approach with silverware and plates is really plus. The staff is quiet, but nice.

Great food and service. This place is a gem, and has a friendly vibe without being pretentious like some independent coffee houses can be. The hummus plate is a tasty vegetarian option, and Elvis would love them for their peanut butter and banana smoothie.

What a nice surprise! Great espresso(this from my husband, who is a coffee snob). We also had a plate of black bean, avocado, cucumber and sprouts on toasts – delicious. Great vibe, great place. We’ll be back. Worth the 15-mile drive from Three Oaks.

Great addition to SW Michigan. Love the rotating homemade soup options. My only minor complaint would be that the coffee scene could use a little upgrade. Maybe offer single serve pour overs, aero press, or other options like that.

I am honored to be the first to review the fabulous Union Coffee House in darling Buchanan, Michigan. I feel entirely spoiled that it’s within walking distance of my home. Manager Molly Thornton did everything right from the décor(saving architectural elements from when the building was a bank, maintaining the super-high ceilings, but adding beautiful bathrooms with vintage lighting and a large historical photo of the building from decades ago) to the menu(delicious breakfast bagel that I have weekly, smoothies, fair trade coffee and tea, baked goods, and new fall specials like steamed cider, grilled cheddar and apple on sourdough and butternut bisque). I also love the veggies sandwich and I’ve heard great things about the«Italian Stallion» sandwich. This is the perfect casual spot to stop in for breakfast, lunch or dinner where you know that you are getting super-fresh thoughtful food put together by someone with excellent taste. They also have a great variety of vegetarian-friendly options. Please go out of your way to try out this new gem in Buchanan. You won’t regret it.
