Dr. Craparo is amazing, very professional, competent and kind-​hearted. She assisted me with two pregnancies. Most recently, I gave birth earlier this year and had a very difficult pregnancy with preeclampsia. Because my family lives in the City, I originally planned to birth at Pennsy. However, Pennsy was not for me.
I decided to go back to Dr. Craparo despite the 40 minute drive. Dr. Craparo is very hands on — and she prefers to manually assess the health and movements of the fetus — which is sort of old school, but I like it. She was the perfect doctor/​midwife combination, in my humble opinion. She is kind, very professional and a believer in letting nature run its course, unless intervention is absolutely necessary.
Around 37 weeks, I was not feeling too well — and they discovered at the office that my blood pressure was high. Dr. Craparo immediately telephoned Bryn Mawr hospital and sent me there for monitoring. I ended up going to the hospital on three separate occasions, and around 39 weeks, Dr. Craparo recommended labor be induced. (At this point, intervention was absolutely necessary, as my kidneys were failing). I really was afraid I wasn’t going to make it alive — I prayed and prayed.
Thank God, the day I was supposed to check myself in for the induction, God heard my prayers, and I delivered naturally. In fact, three minutes after I set foot in the hospital. I had an unexpected unmedicated natural birth — and it was great.
Thank you, Dr. Craparo! Thanks for remaining calm and inspiring me with confidence despite the grave nature of my illness. It definitely helped!

I have had one exam from Dr. Craparo so far, and she met or exceeded my standards in every category. She was punctual, thorough, compassionate, and helpful in answering questions. Before she even asked me to undress, she (not a nurse) sat with me and asked me questions about my health history and future plans (e.g., for a pregnancy). Unlike some doctors who glance at you and write out a prescription, she wanted to hear details, along with giving me a physical exam and running standard tests. She quickly helped me cure a UTI, and left me feeling confident about a planned pregnancy. So far, I highly recommend her.
