My daughter and I have been patients here for a bit over a year and we are leaving. We saw Dr. Hsu and she was very good. Our follow up visits were with a Janet DiSippio who is termed as a Physicians assistant. Not sure what that even means. Her manners are down right nasty and she talks with a condescending tone. Getting a prescription refilled from this practice is beyond sad. Their phone answering system is like calling a Personal Injury Lawyer firm. They never get to the point. People answering the phone are very poorly informed. Nurse assistant Brie is absolutely not trained to answer phone calls. I had to make 4 phone calls to get a prescription refilled. It took over 48 hours and I had to call back to even find out if it was filled after I was promised by Brie that I would hear back. You want service go elsewhere. This is pathetic. They do not care as they make money in the cosmetic area. Back to looking for a practice that cares.

I’ve been going here for about 2 and a half years and have seen Janet. Recently I was in for a couple of moles on my back and she saw one that she suggested needed to be biopsied so I agreed. About a week or so later I got a call from the office saying that it was severely atypical and it needed to be excised with Dr. Capriotti. When I went in to see Capriotti she was so nice and talked me through the whole surgery! I’m now left with a barely visible scar and will be seeing Janet every 6 months for a screening! Couldn’t be happier!

I recently had my second annual visit with Dr. Capriotti and have been pleased since I first came in late 2013. Dr. Capriotti is very pleasant and knowledgeable. She makes me feel comfortable and she is open to having any questions directed her way. The office staff are also very nice and the office is up to date and modern(even though they’re currently under renovation, but it’s great to see that!) I originally found them and scheduled via ZocDoc which was easy and painless, their email reminder system is great yet unobtrusive. I’ve heard from friends that the skin spa part of their office is also great but have not had a chance to try it for myself, though I really want to! I had an overall great experience and feel I was well taken care of, my needs were met, and questions answered!

I have been a patient for nearly than 6 months. Every visit, I have to give my insurance card to the front desk, even though the information has never changed. Also, I have never arrived and seen a doctor in less than 20 minutes after arrival. This is very frustrating; I don’t understand why it is so difficult to see patients in a timely manner. My time is valuable and I cannot spend an extended period of time sitting in a waiting room. I have also had difficulty scheduling appointments. Doctors have seemingly packed schedules and I can rarely come at a time that is convenient for me. Overall, excellent medical professionals, but a very poorly run operation otherwise.

I have been a patient of Bryn Mawr Skin and Cancer for several years now. At times I was treated in a rude manner, but was always pleasesd with the medical treatment and so I continued to return. However, after a recent visit, I was charged three to four times as much as I should have been, and I know this because I had had the work done previously. After my insurance only covered a small portion of the visit, I spoke to the billing manager to discuss this issue. Long story short, the insurance company and the Skin and Cancer office will get their money, but I get screwed. And there really is nothing I can do about it that isn’t a total waste of time. I explained after several years I was going to find another doctor’s office, and this was met with no attempt to keep me as a patient. Needless to say, I was very unhappy. I do not recommned this office, and will be finding another office to go to that truly cares about its patients.

calling the Dr.‘s office s such a pain… i never can talk to someone directly. I did have a nurse call me back however she was quite rude. Maybe she was having an ‘off’ day, but i didn’t appreciate her tone or her answers to my questions. Even though Dr. Mancini has said i can ‘call and talk to her whenever’ i have yet to talk to her directly. I am always talking to a nurse about my skin issues.

I went to Dr. Capriotti and was extremely pleased with her and the staff. Everyone was pleasant, professional, and made me feel comfortable. For anyone looking for a trustworthy dermatologist, go here!!!

I was headed to the Main Line a week before my wedding with a terrible rash and feeling totally run down. I called main line health and the only dermatologist in the area who could see me was Dr. Capriotti at Bryn Mawr Skin and Cancer. She was incredibly professional and compassionate and diagnosed me with shingles and prescribed an aggressive treatment and by the time my wedding rolled around the rash had healed really well and i was back on my feet.(with a temporarily paralyzed right side of my face, but what can you do). Dr. Capriotti responded to my phone calls and took my concerns seriously and I was so grateful to be put into their care.

A year ago I would have rated the Institute 5 stars but after a horrible – and scarring experience from Dr. Capriotti – I would give them 0(even 1 star is way too high). I went to Capriotti with a simple injection for a cyst – she injected it and I went home with a huge red blotch all around the cyst area. Over two months later I have a huge indent and red mark which make me very self-conscious(yes, it is very noticeable). I confronted BMSCI about it and they keep giving me the run around that I need to «wait» for any treatments to help it. I saw another derm who confirmed that the cyst was injected way too much causing skin loss and scarring. I wam currently seeking legal aid and, hopefully, I can keep others from suffering the way I have. PLEASETHINKTWICE when getting any cyst injections by Capriotti – you may end up scarred like me!
