I’ve been there for five separate breakfasts, and each and every one they’ve managed to mess up somehow. Normally they forget to give the hash browns when I order a meal, or sometimes they forget to leave cheese off of a sausage biscuit. Normally I wouldn’t write a review for anything, but this time they deserve it. I ordered the pancake platter as a meal with sausage and a Strawberry Fanta, what I got was two«crepes»(That was how thin they were compared to normal Whataburger pancakes) and a burnt piece of sausage with no hash brown. Along with the pancakes, I ordered a Jalapeño Cheddar Biscuit with bacon as a meal with a root beer, what I got was a normal biscuit with bacon, cheese, a funky looking egg that was the wrong color(greenish), no hash brown yet again, and a root beer. The only reason this is getting two stars is because they mostly get the order right when I order it for lunch or for dinner, ignoring when they put cheese on a hamburger that is asked for without cheese. Update. Needless to say, I’ve given them plenty of other chances, and they mess up nearly every time. In the most recent one, I ordered the pancake platter meal, two taquitos with potato, and an extra order of hash brown sticks. I’d just like to note that I had to wait for 18 minutes to get any of this, and that was when I was at the window(actually ahead of the window because I was told to pull up). Always ask for a receipt, because they never gave me one. My pancakes were burnt horribly, I’ve uploaded a picture of it, I didn’t receive the extra order of hash brown sticks, and they didn’t give me any of the sauces that I asked for, picante and spicy ketchup, which wasn’t that big of deal in itself. So I won’t be returning here again, be it for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, I’ll be taking my business to another Whataburger, even if it is +8 minutes out of my way.

It’s like this: every Whataburger I’ve been to is the same. That’s true of every other fast food joint as well. People who like such places do so because of their consistency regardless of location. If you honestly think one particular location is really radically different than another, than all I can say in the spirit of simple honesty is that you are wrong. Period. I have eaten at quite a few Whataburgers and what you see is what you get. I can’t see myself coming here for breakfast, as I like being healthy. I can certainly see myself chowing down on a Whataburger Jr. from time to time, and that’s just fine as the damage it does is minimal. But an interesting thing worth noting is how Whataburger will customize anything you order. And I do mean anything. Want to make your own version of KFC’s infamous«Double Down,» by cramming a beef patty between two chicken breasts? Friend actually did this, no joke. And I’ve seen other, even more lurid combinations executed here. No I’m not encouraging this, as I have not noticed a de-fibrillator present.

Ok, gave this place another chance regarding«bad service» a week and one day later after my last experience and complaining to both corporate and the local management, unfortunately the service wasn’t improved, but actually worse! This time they not only did not say anything other than too constantly interrupt us as we ordered, then tell us the amount at the window, and not anything else… so I said politely«thank you» to her as she shoved us our food… ONLY to get a «you’re welcome!» Really, a «welcome» for me saying thank you for buying something from you, oh by the way also for NOT getting the order correct! PLEASE don’t go to this location if you want service nor what you want and pay for! Again, the food, although often not what you ordered not paid for is fresh, hot and good, the service continues to be HORRIBLE!!!

Don’t go here! Where’s the manager!!! There’s a whataburger a few miles south that’s way more worth your time! This is the biggest failure of a Whatburger I’ve ever been to and I’ve gone to Whataburgers my whole life. It’s like it’s the employees intent to make it the worst customer experience for every single customer. The say«beat the north gate crowd at the Dominik location and go to this one.» It will take you twice as long to get your food at this location versus the other crowded location, even if you’re the only one there! And your food will be wrong! I live closer to this one so I, for some reason, keep going back instead of the one on Dominik, and my order has ALWAYS been wrong. Where’s the manager?! At every other location I see a manager… Managing! And things go smoothly. At this one– I have never see a manager. I waited 30 minutes for a meal that they made wrong, there were no other customers at the time I ordered it. The employees are unmanaged and do not care about you and your food order. Why does this location still exist? Either close it down or get a new manager!!!

I have come to this Whataburger four times this year, everytime at night and the service is always incredibly slow. Slow as in «I ordered a Monterey Melt Meal and I have to wait 45 minutes for it to come out» slow. They also have screwed up my friends meal over multiple times.

What a terrible experience… Worst customer service ever. Don’t ever come here. A group of friends and I decided to drive all the way to Bryan to beat the crowds of the College Station location. Worst idea ever. We ordered our food at 2:48 am and did not get out our food until an hour later. The best part, is that ALL of the orders were incorrect. We patiently waited for the first 30 minutes, hanging with friends. We started to get annoyed when groups that had arrived later than us started getting their food. We kindly asked our waitress the status of our orders, she kept docking us and finally replied to us explaining the kitchen was just getting to putting chicken tenders in the oven… None of us ordered any items that had chicken. That excuse was just irrelevant to us. The worst part, was that when we went to ask for the manager, she decided to go hide in the back of the kitchen. An hour and 15 minutes later, and 2 guys from our party have still not gotten their items… One of our friends just received their food, it was cold and the cheese wasn’t even melted. I understand this is just a fast food, but that’s the point, FAST food. If we wanted to spend over and hour and a half, we could have cooked some food ourselves. Terrible management. The manager does not know what he is doing, and does not care about her customers. Let’s just say this Whataburger location, lost 12 customers tonight.

Let me start off by saying that I love me some Whataburger. No doubt, its my favorite chain restaurant. Any true blue Texan will tell you that its the real deal, accept no substitutes, best fast food chain out there. That being said, this location is by far the worst l’ve ever experienced, by a mile. Unfortunately, this location is closest to me, yet at this point I am going to have to drive further if I want it. I’ve been to this location about 5 times in the last 4 months, and I keep kicking myself each time for going back. I thought each time that maybe it was a fluke and that I was bound to get a good meal here at some point. I did not. No time in the 5 times that I went to this location did I get a decent meal. To add insult to injury, every time I went, whether it was midday, late afternoon, or late evening I had to wait at least 15 minutes in the drive-thru and then another 5 minutes at the window while they fumbled around. Every time. I am not sure why this is such a big problem at this location, but its consistently slow as molasses. In the time that it takes you to wait in line you could drive down to the location by Harvey road, have your meal and be on your way. So what was the problem with the food you might ask? Almost every time I went there my burgers came to me cold or tepid. Which doesn’t sound that surprising considering they are taking their sweet time to slaughter the cow and grow the potatoes out back before it gets to me. It was either that or they managed to miss something on the order. In addition, they evidently don’t know how to cut their vegetables correctly, I’ve gotten strangely sized and cut tomatoes and larges chunks of onion. Pretty much ruins the hamburger. I don’t want to have to go through every layer and check the whole burger before I eat it, I should be able to assume that its not going to immediately suck. Kind of funny, the last time I was there. The girl at the drive-thru window had evidently spilled a soda at the window and it had spilled into the ketchup bin. She pulled all of the ketchups out of the bin and placed them onto a paper towel at the window. At first I did not assume that she was going to hand out those sticky soda laden ketchup packets out to the customers, but alas when she asked me if I wanted ketchup, she pulled from the pile of sticky ketchup packets and told me «just ignore it». Ha. Yeah sure, just ignore the sticky syrup caked on the side of the packets, as if it is some figment of my imagination. Thaaaaanks. I almost replied with a snide«no thanks» when she picked from the pile, but I digressed. I’ll just eat my fries without ketchup today. I would like to conclude with saying this to everyone that reads this review. I looked inside the window the last time I was there and the kitchen looked like a wreck. If you think for a moment that they keep their food at such high standards while the rest of the place falls apart, I have a river in Egypt I’d like to sell you. Do yourself a favor, steer clear of this place.

Hands down the worst fast food restaurant I’ve ever been to. It took 49 minutes to get my food, even after an employee told me for 20 minutes that my order was up next. This store is the definition of incompetence. Don’t go here unless you think it’s Disney World and want to make a day trip out of it.

Best burger by far over all fast food out there. This will always be better than in and out, and no hipsters to deal with.

I only frequent this whataburger after a night of northgate. It’s a lot less packed than the one in College Station. It’s pretty clean and well maintained, but expect the food to take a LONG time.

I’ll get the obvious things out of the way first. If you come here and you are on a diet, you are pretty stupid. If you are going to come here, I suggest you embrace everything that makes Whataburger worth coming to. If you accept you are going to get a massive burger covered in cheese before walking in the door, you will have a much more enjoyable experience. The other thing I wanna get out of the way is this won’t be cheap, I never come here expecting to pay less than like $ 10 for the medium meal. With those things begin said. the burgers here are consistent, juicy, packed with flavor and very enjoyable. You will not leave Whataburger unhappy if you come in expecting a juicy burger that is made fresh to your liking. All of the complaints that have to do with wait time. that’s what happens when it’s fresh. You want pre made and out the door? Go to Mcd’s and you will get served in 1 minute, k? Assuming you want to wait for fresh food, i’ll go on to say that the service here is generally very good. They are friendly when speaking to drunks and accommodating for almost anyone else. They bring the food to you and give you all the ketchup you want. How can it really be that bad? Are you guys really that jaded? Positives Great burgers– i’ll list this on its own because the burger here is so good. All of the ingredients are fresh, the burger patties are large, they use tons of cheese and they have a large variety of burgers. The patty melt is easily the best, but there are plenty of burgers to choose from and all are good. Ketchup– The spicy ketchup here will be provided to you by the employee bringing your food. It is so good I have used it to literally cover my burger in the past. This is something I love about Whataburger and it makes your food much more enjoyable. Breakfast– The breakfast plates here are really good, they taste home made and they are full of butter. They start serving at 11 and people pack in as a result. If you haven’t tried their breakfast, it should become something you wake up for. Seriously, eat it and go back to sleep. you will thank me later. Lots on the menu to choose from Negatives Prices– This is just pricy for what you are getting and the meal always ends up way more than it says on the board. Upkeep– The bathrooms at this place often look like death and should be avoided Upcharging– Want some ranch with that burger? .75 each after paying 10 bucks for a combo. Crowding– Boy, does this place get packed. What you should get Patty melt combo with onion rings(the onion rings are amazing) I usually sub the drink for a chocolate shake and get a ton of spicy ketchup and ranch. Chicken finger combo with white gravy — this is SO good The breakfast platter with extra hash brows instead of the biscuit is also a go I’m taking off one star for the up charging on a combo that runs you $ 10 already but he food here is great, it is a reliable choice around the clock. Feel free to send donations in the form of free Whataburger for the ordering tip :)

Whoa man, harsh. You guys have had some bad experiences. This is my normal go-to Whataburger(almost always drive-thru), and it’s always fine, just fine. It’s fast food, dur, so don’t expect a Grub Burger, but this is the best fast food burger place food you can get in Texas. I regularly have good experiences here, they always have really friendly and competent employees working, and they’ll indulge me when I ask for mondo amounts of ketchup(it’s still better in the little cups). I can get a grilled cheese with fixins for like 2 bucks. Slap some fries or onion rings in between the Texas toast and make your meat friends jealous. I’ve been a vegetarian for years and Whatburger is still in my normal rotation. By normal I mean like once or twice a month… this is the only fast food I eat, and it throws me into a sofa coma. It’s also nice because you can get breakfast after 11PM, so if band practice runs long or you just had a million things to do that day, you can get some breakfast taquitos. They destroy my butt. This particular Whataburger doesn’t suffer from an overload of drunks, students, or drunk students, so it’s nice to even stop inside sometimes when you have a bunch of people and don’t want to be the asshole in the drive through lane splitting up orders. Plus then you can take as much ketchup as you want from the condiment tray! There will almost always be a few people in line before you, because it’s Whataburger, and this is Texas. A trip out of state isn’t complete without stopping here just before and after the trip.

Worst coffee!!! The first cup I got tasted like crap… Asked them to refill it with fresh coffee. They did that and it was still terrible! I’ve been to other Whataburgers and their coffee is usually good… But this certain place did not seem to give a flying manure about how their coffee tasted. Thumbs down!

While I am generally a fan of What-A-Burger since it’s a Texas based chain, perhaps it’s getting a little too large. Stopped by this location #956 in their burger empire and was initially impressed that the drive through has two lanes. Sort of. As you can see by my receipt I was shuffled to lane B. The parking lot or «pad location» here is tiny. Very hard to get a normal sized car into with all of the giant F7000 cow trucks. Yet the attempt to try to funnel as many vehicles as they can through such a tiny space failed in my experience. It took about 12 – 15 minutes to get a single burger and there was a lady walking around in the drive through lanes(not safe) asking what everyone ordered and then going back and forth inside. She was flusterated. I actually felt bad and should have just got my ass out of the car and went inside. But a drive through is supposed to be fast when you are in a hurry. The cold soggy and sloppy burger that I ended up finally getting was no where near being worth the price. They do not have a Value Menu yet if they did, it wasn’t worth a buck. See photos. If you want a burger right here, just park your car and walk into Carter’s Burgers like 40 feet from here. That’s a local owned single location with awesome burgers.
