Mirch Masala Fast Food

It’s closed for now. Gotta admit I was pretty dismayed upon stopping by yesterday for lunch take out only to discover that the entire retail space it occupied, even the Sunny Food Mart Grocery store is gutted and empty. Yet as the Psalms give consolation in particular to «It is not the end», apparently it’s not the end.
Reached out to some Indian friends that ate here very frequently, often daily and the good news is that right before she closed, she stated that the restaurant has been sold to a new hotel in College Station that will open soon… Hmmmm. Am aware of two now hotels that are being built… Wondering where it will be. As it turns out this may not be the end, but part of the beginning. Mirch Masala had some of the most excellent real home made Indian food for an extremely fair price and I do know they did several extremely large catering events on campus.
Apparently it will be back, bigger, better, stronger and my prediction is that they will become as famous as Taz. Let’s just see when and where they come back.
