This place is a hidden gem. I’m glad I found this place so soon after having moved to College Station. There is a great selection of Indian goods in the back room of the mini-mart. I bought myself some dessert, basmati rice, and whenever I run out of my current batch I’ll be buying my tea from here. My last town didn’t have an Indian market, so this is a very nice surprise.

The only Indian grocery store in BCS. Thanks again to Greg D. for finding and recommending this place. I have been here 3 years and have been buying Indian spices usually in Houston or Austin to get my fix of Indian food. It’s nice that we now have a decent Indian restaurant(Taz) as well. The Mini Mart has a room in the back with Indian items like lentils, spices, rice, etc. In the front they have a couple of refrigerators full of Indian tv dinners. Pretty good stuff. Also, apparently, if you need something exotic, they can order it for you. I picked up a bunch of stuff to sample. The best thing was the Malaysian Roti which is a frozen flat bread that you cook at home. Very delicious. These guys should advertise. There are lots of Indians in town who have no idea that such a store exists.

Ignore the fact that this looks like a run down grocery store /gas station. It is. However it’s the best Indian food Grocery store in Brazos Valley. As I have been trying to refine my skills at preparing Indian food at home I have found an exceptional variety here including fresh Paneer(Indian cheese) from Dallas. The owners wife is very helpful and even gave us some Youtube links to her favorite Indian chefs to learn from. Two thumbs up! This is really a hidden gem. When you go in there, just ask where the Indian Grocery room is and they will show you to the back. Might have to turn the light on. This is totally cool.
