Surprisingly disappointing. The house itself is interesting, though much too«in process» to justify the exorbitant admission price. The bigger issue, however, was the quality of the tour. Our guide raised concerns almost immediately. Throughout the repetitive hour she appeared bored and confused, and she missed important themes in her subject’s experience. Fully snuffed out the expectations we’d brought to the visit. We were eager for the«tour» to end so we wouldn’t have to listen to her any longer. Another guide might’ve made this better, but the admission cost is still out of proportion to the value. Read a short volume about Chamberlain and visit his grave down the road. One-star only for the Chamberlain interest.
