Horrble service. I’m on medication for a disease, they had no companion. Is this how they treat cancer patients?

One of my favorite taquerias to go to when I visit home. It’s always busy after 2 am but service is always fast. They’re for jokes especiales and bistek tacos are the best!

I absolutely love it here! I’m a local and never tired of it. I don’t think anybody would get tired of great tacos… Yes, it is a little bit more expensive than many other places but it came from across the border in Mexico. The Mexican SAZON (flavor) is not lost!

This is my FAVORITE taco place! However, I can’t give it 5 stars here’s why. It’s always full and the parking isn’t the best.
I see that they’ve extended to outside and added maybe about 10 – 15 tables outside which is great but picking between waiting 20+ minutes to be seated inside versus freezing outside? Meh. That’s not including the time you spend trying to find parking.
I love this place. Grew up going here as a child in Mexico where they first opened their first restaurant. This place holds their value. Same if not better quality of food, fast service at affordable prices. Love that everything is about a dollar.
LOVE LOVE LOVE this place definitely worth the drive and the wait. Trust me, if you want authentic Mexican tacos come here. It’s got the Mexican seal of approval!

Great taco place for late night munchies or daytime hunger. Recommend the frijoles especiales which contain queso fresco and bistec. There are many taco places in town and across the border, but these guys have been consistent for many years now.

We love coming here every time we visit brownsville. We are from san antonio and we crave this place like crazy! Best tacos ever. We wish you guys were in san antonio or at least teach them how to make good tacos up there.

The tacos were good but kinda cold. The place was dirty and the staff was not very friendly. I guess late at night they just want to go home.
Still, I believe you have to make an extra effort to improve.

The Rio Grande Valley has got the goods when it comes to authentic Mexican food. And El Ultimo Taco Taqueria is hands down the best of the lot. The menu is simple, but perfection doesn’t need to be complex. The bistek tacos are cheap and delicious. Add the requisite grilled onions and one of their three fab sauces (all with a bit of pleasant heat) and you’ve got the perfect three bite meal. You’ll want to order at least four or five, if you’ve got a small appetite. Eight of these delicious morsels would easily satiate even the hungriest gringo.
The interior is impeccably clean, and the service is fast and friendly. If you’re in Brownsville and do not stop here you seriously need to reevaluate your priorities.

Yes. Going to El Ultima is a great life decision.
Super clean. Super inexpensive. Quick service. Don’t expect much English though, either on the menu or from the waitstaff.
I highly recommend the frijoles especiales. A perfectly spiced generous bowl of beans with bistek, queso, and avocado. Tacos are small, but stuffed with meat and cheese. I only tried the bistek and it was fantastic. Everything is served with lime wedges and grilled onions too.

Has Multipe Awards for Best Tacos in town & «El Ultimo Taco» certainly lives up to its awards. Its been serving up some of the best tacos in the Valley for some time now. It’s a local’s favorite! Don’t go expecting a large menu. They specialize in only a few things here, Mexican Street Tacos, Floutas, Tostadas, and Mexican Charro Style Beans (Tastes nothing like your standard «Ranch Style» beans)! What they lack in options they make up in flavor. So much so one would say why order anything else?! We’ve gone down the list and have ordered a taco of each kind of meat they specialize in here and we have to say they are all delicious! Now keep in mind this is an real authentic Mexican taco joint. Staff and the cashier lady’s English may be sketchy at best.
Want an authentic Mexican, street taco meal?!
Start with an order of beans «especiales». Its an order of Charro Beans topped with Bistec (taco beef), grated Mexican cheese, and avocado!
Get an order of tacos of no less than 6 tacos because these little guys go quick, their small enough to finish each one in 3 bites. Select whatever meat you’d like but we recommend the «mixto» which is the mix of Bistec and Tripa! Served loaded with all the toppings and then Top this off with some of the grilled onions, salsa, lime, and a pinch of salt and your ready to dig in. IT’S THE REAL DEAL! Don’t forget to get yourself a Mexican «Lemonade» (made with lime) for authentic Mexican Taco Experience!

Hands Down… Best tacos and charro beans in town! Great service… if going for lunch time… get there early… it gets full quick.

They had tacos! I went with my girlfriend she had the tacos too. The drinks had ice and that was cool. There were a lot of kids all eating tacos. Lol. They have a patio. I needed to use the toilet to relieve myself, but there was someone there. He was in there for a whole so I wasn’t able to wash my hands. Oh well. Next time I go I’ll try to go to the restroom again lol. 3 thumbs up. Bring your friends and family. Not dog friendly so don’t bring your pet lol. Woof woof

It was packed at 9pm on a Tuesday night– !all locals. Super tasty tacos– never tasted tacos like this up north or in Southern California –this is real stuff!
Tip –each taco is about three bites.

Frijoles Especial and bistek tacos! Super delicious. Everyone says check this place out for great authentic food and they are all right. It’s not a flashy place. But service was quick and friendly. I didn’t speak Spanish and was quickly shuffled along to someone who spoke English. Lol eeeeeeek I understand. But slowly! I can’t wait to go back!

BEST. TACOS. IN. BROWNSVILLE– Hands down. They never disappoint. The salsa is always pretty fresh and delicious as well. This place is usually pretty packed but it’s never hard to find a table, unless you come past 2 AM. They’re open late, but come at your own discretion. It is packed with people who are looking for a late night post-​bar snack. Enough said.

I was very pleased with the delicious tacos from this place. I ordered 6 (about the right amount for a hungry lad), and they were scrumptious. The place was very obviously filled with locals, and generally that is a pretty good sign of quality. The bisteck and al pastor did not disappoint, and the tabletop sauces are spicy and interesting. Definitely check this place out if in the area.

When you are a mile away from the border and there is a place that was voted the best tacos in town, it would be downright sinful not giving it a try.
Didn’t want to be a sinner, I decided to have lunch here before I leave Brownsville, I got myself the bean soup with meat and 6 tacos.
The soup is good, but then again, I’m not a big fan of beans, the meat helped. I only ordered the soup because everyone else was ordering it.
Now, the tacos, THE TACOS are delicious, I actually had no idea what I ordered, I asked the waitress and she recommended 3 types (2 each), I know one of them is Barbacoa, I forgot what the other two are now.
Anyways, they are delicious and tell you the truth, I don’t even like corn tortillas! That’s how good they are!
If I’m in town, I would swing by again,
Just a warning, the small orange bottle, it VERY spicy and I can eat spicy, my lips were burning for a good 10 mins.
