Not all rest stops and welcome centers are the same and though this isn’t anything great — the restrooms were clean!

This welcome center has the most gorgeous views on I-90 from Chicago to Boston. Clean bathrooms, wonderfully furnished, cheerful staff, and seriously the best sunset over Lake Erie. I actually felt excited to be in Pennsylvania. Normally I wouldn’t go out of my way to review a welcome center/service station, but this one takes the cake. If you are driving I-90 for a long distance, stop here and see the gorgeous scenery of coastal PA.

A nice welcome center, surrounded by vineyards and providing a beautiful view of eastern Lake Erie. As you leave New York on westbound I-90, this rest area is right at the state border. During daylight hours, they have plenty of brochures available for the leisurely traveler, as well as official Pennsylvania maps and those hotel/motel coupon booklets. Don’t forget to check out the spectacular view of Lake Erie while you’re there!
