Best cupcakes in The Valley! Cory and her daughter have made the best cupcakes and cakes for each of my son’s birthday parties since he was 1 year old (he is now 4 :). They are the nicest family and they are so helpful. I couldn’t recommend this place more unless I stood outside and held a sign on the street with an arrow pointing to her place :) Best cupcakes around!!!

Best cupcakes, hands down. Friends bought some and I got a taste of the peanut butter chocolate cupcake. I’m not sure what it’s called but that was the flavor. I’m definitely going to buy some in person. Can’t wait!!!

This is one of the first places I go to when I come home for a visit. Best cupcakes ever! I love the strawberry and Red Velvet. The staff is so nice and they never make you feel rushed to pick a cupcake. I love that I can sit down, eat my cupcake, and enjoy a glass of milk with it.

I expected better packing being that I paid 19.00 for half a dozen. They just put into a box that did not separate them. When I got to my office they had all mixed together and it ruined the flavor of the cupcake. Really disappointed because it was expensive.

The staff is really great, friendly and ready to answer questions about their product. The cupcakes are really nothing special, you can make the same quality at home with a boxed mix. I tried a chocolate cupcake which was dry and maybe a bit stale (I went on a Friday). I also tried their better than sex cake which was also a dry and not very tasty. I really wanted to like this place but their products need improvement; I gave 3 stars because of the customer service.

The place is nice. Staff is friendly. Service is fast. Had the carrot cupcake w cream cheese frosting. I must agree with another reviewer-​the cupcake tasted like it was right out of a box. The cream cheese frosting was not very cream cheesy. It was very sweet, so I could overlook it, but needed more cream cheese taste. Location is great, in and out quickly if ur in a hurry. I might be back, but I will NOT b ordering the carrot cupcake.

I have to disagree with the only other review on here. I would hate for anyone to read it, get the wrong idea and not go try the cupcakes at this place. Like he said, the place is really nicely decorated and the staff is really friendly. The cupcakes are very tasty and their cakes as well. My favorite are the butter pecan, chocolate chip, and strawberry cupcakes. I’m also a huge fan of their GIANT Cupcake cakes… on the chocolate ones, they put some mystery ingredient in the middle that makes them SUPER moist and OMG they’re delicious. As for the price, they have cupcakes for $ 1.25 & $ 2.50 so the price is not bad at all… plus I would much rather contribute to a local business than to HEB. Not only are the cupcakes great, but they’re art as well. Edible art? I’m IN!
So if you want to enjoy a good cup of coffee, take your kids where they can make their own cupcakes (it’s a new thing), AND help out a local business at the same time… this is the place to go :)

I was excited to try Cupcakes by Cory. Being that its probably one of few bakeries that specializes in cupcakes in Brownsville. The place is nicely decorated wall to wall with cupcake stuff; cupcake pics, cupcake signs with cupcakes sayings. The cupcakes were decorated real good. They had some Easter, and character themed cupcakes; all nicely displayed. Although the cupcakes looked good; I thought the taste was sub par. Nothing better than something you would get from HEB. The cake tasted as if it was from a box, they had that smell you get from a Betty Crocker box, and the frosting was not good. At almost $ 3 each I need something more than looks. I really have to give it to CupCakes by Cory; they do have some good looking CupCakes. They also make customized cakes too; which also make good pieces of art. Overall I gave 3 stars to CupCakes by Cory, because the cupcakes make good art, but lack good taste.
