Obsession Nails Spa

The ladies are very friendly, and my Mani/​Pedi was reasonably priced. This is a nice, clean facility. I’m visiting from California but during my stay here I’ll definitely be coming back before I leave.

My daughter and I walked into Obsession Nails at 6:20 PM, and signed in for a mani/​pedi for each of us. We were not greeted by any of the employees who were working. While we were looking at the polish colors, an employee came up to us and rather rudely said we could only do a mani or a pedi, but not both, without offering a reason why. I asked why and she stated because they don’t have time to do both (they close at 7:30 PM). If a business closes at 7:30 PM, I expect them to remain open and perform their services until then, meaning this place should be taking customers up until that time. We went ahead and settled for just pedicures. I witnessed the employees turn away 4 other customers because it was «too close to closing time.» If the employees want to walk out of the salon to go home at 7:30, they should rethink their closing time (maybe close at 6:30 instead). I felt like my nail tech was rushing through the pedicure so that she could be done by 7:30. She was, however, very friendly and did a decent job. A couple annoyances: there were several handwritten signs around the salon telling customers they needed to tip and tip in cash only. I have never seen signs like these in any nail salon, and thought they were pretty tacky. Also, one of the employees had her 6-​year-​old son with her and he sat next to my daughter and talked to her the entire time. He was cute and my daughter was a good sport about it, but it seemed unprofessional and I could see how his constant chatting could annoy some customers. Biggest issue of all: both my daughter and I had gift cards for $ 35, which is the price of a mani/​pedi. Since we could only get one service each, we lost out on the $ 35 deal, because a pedicure is $ 25 (prices for just a mani or just a pedi are not posted in the salon, only the mani/​pedi combo). If we want to use the remaining $ 10 on each card, we’ll need to go back again and pay extra for whatever we get. We were expecting to get the full treatment, and were disappointed that we could not get it. If I go back to use the remaining balance, that will be the last time. There are other nail salons in Brownsburg who won’t turn away my business.

It was my first time here at obsession nails and I will most likely be back. Their price was fair (better than most places here in brownsburg) They did a great job on my nails and I really liked how they turned out. My only complaint would be that she was a bit rough on my feet and scraped them too much. So it wasn’t as relaxing as other experiences that I have had but for the price I will probably be back.

All of the equipment is new, including awesome pedicure chairs. The women that work here are really nice and take their jobs seriously. I love it here! They have a wide variety of colors.
