Five stars for a holiday inn express. I travel 3 weeks out of the month and think this great for the price. This is a NEW hotel north of downtown Milwaukee. It was perfect for my purpose — business. Clean rooms, good wifi and free breakfast. I did not feel claustrophobic in the small hotel gym even though it only had two treadmills and a bike. I defiantly recommend this hotel if you are on a budget or traveling for business.

Average hotel. Clean rooms and friendly staff. No real bar area and the rec-room sort of blows…

My bathroom smelled like feet. The air-conditioning was fussy. Other than this, not a bad place, but the foot odor emitting from the WC was pretty f-ing rank, knocked it down a whole star. Others may not be so generous, Holiday In Express Hotel Milwaukee N-Brown Deer/mequon, if that IS your real name…

It’s clean, it’s nice, decent pool but no hot tub, the pool closes at 10, and the fitness room is a treadmill and an 80’s exercise bike. Holiday inn breakfast is always solid. I stayed 2 nights and would stay here again if I was in the area. Clean room, didn’t have a stank and seemed well maintained. Can i say this too… I like the smell of Holiday Inn Shampoo.

I frequented this hotel often on business. During my visits, I came to know a young man with Down syndrome who worked there. He was extremely cheerful and outgoing, and very much took pride in his work. He was responsible for the laundry and some of the room cleaning. I have come to find out, through other hotel employees, that one of the owners(a woman, who co-owns the hotel with her husband) forced this young man out of his employment with the hotel. He had worked there for a couple of years prior to her owning the hotel, and I know from speaking with other guests and the hotel’s employees that this man was very much liked within the hotel and always performed his job responsibilities without a problem. When this woman and her husband took over the hotel, all of a sudden, it was decided that this young man was not performing well. The employees confirmed that no guests ever complained about his work, and that the only problem was that the female owner did not communicate well with this man. She would yell at him in front of guests — myself included — and was irresponsible and unprofessional. I write this review because I am ashamed for her, and because I miss seeing this young man during my visits to the hotel. He was a pleasure to interact with, and I liked giving my business to this hotel because I felt it «did the right thing» in providing him with employment. Perhaps she will get wind of this one day, but until then, I feel good in venting my disapproval. Don’t stay here — stay at the Courtyard or Sheraton hotels, both on Brown Deer Road and both less than 1 mile away.
