First time at Flatz Restaurant and really wasn’t that impressed. I made reservations for my fiancé’s birthday and the guy said he’ll make sure it’s extra special and provide a complimentary birthday dessert. I even called again the day of to confirm our reservations and the special occasion. When we arrived we found out the restaurant is in a hotel, so the idea of an intimate setting was gone. The decorations like the wooden logs on the ceiling is pretty cool though. Nothing was fancy at our table, just the standard set up. Our food came out as ordered and was decent, we had the Grillo Misto and Pan Roasted Salmon. After dinner, our waiter asked if we wanted dessert so apparently the guy I had spoken to did not communicate with our server the complimentary birthday dessert. We didn’t get dessert as I didn’t want to spend more money at a place that wasn’t able to accommodate or remember our special occasion. My fiancé and I were bummed about our evening here as nothing about this place was special. Probably won’t come back.

much better than expected for being a restaurant inside a hotel i was staying here so i ate here breakfast and lunch as well as room service and was pleasant surprised for breakfast i did the buffet a few days and then realized i was not eating a lot of the options(trying to be healthy) so i went to the starbucks café and got a yogurt parfait. for lunch i got the ahi tuna wraps which was amazing fresh adn more of a sald not a wrap

Had a management meeting at the Rennaissance and we ate at Flatz for lunch. Their Pesto Cavattapi was absolutely the best I’ve ever had. It was garlicky(as it should be) and they also held the mushrooms which I appreciate. They also have a very friendly waiter/waitress staff that always helps the dining experience. Hats off to Flatz!

I was offered free breakfast buffet vouchers for each morning of my stay, since I’m a Platinum member and they do not have a concierge lounge. The buffet has a great spread, compared to other Marriott properties I’ve been to. They also have a dedicated chef for custom omelette’s; I ordered the Denver omelette(coincidentally one of my favorites), along with fresh-squeezed juice just made for a great meal. Staff was very friendly and attentive, highly recommended for a pleasant and delicious experience — Best, Charlie

Lovely atmosphere, wonderful fresh food, exceptional service. The turkey burger was delicious. My coworker had the ahi tacos and they were pretty good too. Highly recommend if you are in the Broomfield area. **Note** it’s in the Renaissance hotel. We had trouble finding it.

I have come here a few times. I will say that it is a much nicer/higher end restaurant with great food. I came for a date night and it just made the night seem more special because of the sleek environment and high quality of food. It is fairly pricy but I think the food is prepared in a way that justifies the price. They have a Sunday brunch until 1pm which is really only a buffet, however that is way too pricy and not the same quality as their lunch/dinner menu and I don’t think it is worth it. However, wonderful intimate place for a quality meal.

We arrived at 6 pm, 7 pm on our bio-clocks having just flown in from Nashville. The mussels were a delicious appetizer. We enjoyed the 3-local-meats plate which that night consisted of gently smoked elk, venison, and a peppery sausage, accompanied by crispy, tasty potatoes and asparagus; and the local bass offering served over a generous portion of risotto. We shared a rich chocolate gelato and a brownie a-la-mode which our waitress, Michelle, concocted to our delight. The house Cabernet was fine with the 3-meat plate although a varied wine list was also provided. Atmosphere was pleasant enough with outdoor seating available. Chris, the manager, was welcoming, helpful and humorous. We’d eat here again on future trips!

We live near Flatz but had yet to try it due to some of the reviews on Unilocal. This morning we were up for something new so we gave it a go. Not disappointed! The restaurant is within the Renaissance Hotel. One can see the outside sitting area of the restaurant from the front of the hotel. The interior was nice. It has a comfortable feel and nothing looked outdated or unclean. This Sunday Brunch was a buffet, with a table for seafood(crab legs, shrimp, smoked salmon), a table for confectioneries(little cheesecakes, muffins, desserts), and the usual fruit table and one with covered trays of eggs, bacon, sausage and gravy, so on. We sat inside today. The booth was comfortable and quiet. If people were in the lobby area, we didn’t notice them. Our waiter, Josh, was amazing and clearly enjoyed his job(or was great at not showing it!). I had a Bloody Mary which was thick and medium spiciness. My fiancé had the mimosas, how bout some orange juice for color?!? They didn’t skimp on the champagne! I had some of their seafood, very tasty and fresh. We ordered some of the eggs Benedict and loved them. The little cheesecake was very good, too. Despite the negative reviews we had a wonderful experience here. The food was good and the service was very nice!

My fiancé and I have been coming here for almost a year and love it. Our usual server Josh is not only fantastic but exceeds our expectations every time. The rest of the staff are fabulous as well. Kind, attentive and customer focused. They are always trying to see how to make our experience better, even when it’s perfect! The food is great! We love the brunch buffet with all kinds of fresh fruits, seafood, meats and confectionary treats. We recommend Flatz to all friends, colleges, and people we meet. When you come to Flatz ask for Josh, he’s the best!

Had lunch on 7/05, ate at the bar. Very friendly bartender. Ordered the buffalo burger with sweet potato fries. The burger was a little overlooked. Sweet Potato Fries were probably some of the better fries I’ve ever had. Good selection of beers on tap, too. A lot of them are not your average draft beers, even for Denver.

Ordered the meat trio dinner which came with rabbit sausage, elk steak, buffalo steak. The food was presented well but one steak was extremely under cooked. I like rare steak just not blue. I informed a waitress of the situation she took the one steak back to kitchen and I never seen a replacement. My original waiter I seen 2x once to take order once to collect bill. In the end the waiter took off a small amount for missing steak. At this point I could have cared less just wanted to pay and leave. The other pieces of meat were just ok seasons was to light sauce was over Poweringly sweet.

Can’t beat the view and ambience. Dining room décor very cool. Nice to have a fun place to dine close to home. Since we live close by we probably would never stay in the hotel but food brings us back. We stopped in for lunch, had Buffalo Reuben and a Flatz Salad along with Grilled Artichoke. I would pass on the artichoke next time; a bit pricey for what you get. Everything was yummy!

We went for the Sunday brunch. The breakfast food was ok, nothing special. The shrimp, crab claws and smoked salmon were fantastic. The desserts were dry and not much selection. If you love seafood then definitely go. If you just want regular breakfast food save the $$$$ and go somewhere else.

So my wife and I made a reservation during restaurant week. The food was average for the price but, nothing to rave about. The service was a little lacking, dinner came out too quickly after the appetizers. Then are waiter disappeared, finally another server cleared are plates and then had to wait a long time for desert to show up. The restaurant décor is nice so was the back ground music, relaxing but nothing special. I doubt I will go back

This place is awesome for $ 4 Bottomless mimosas on Sundays. The downside is they only have a brunch buffet available on Sundays($ 24 per person) but you can sit in the lounge(super awesome with fire pit and the football/sports games on TV) which has a basic pub-style menu available. Last time we came was on Saturday and their menu is pretty awesome — lots of game meat dishes. This restaurant is inside of a hotel — but you can barely tell once you are inside the restaurant/lounge. Enjoy!

This is only for Flatz lounge/Bar menu. We went to the Bar on a Friday night after a movie. They serve food until 11 pm in a nice atmosphere, not crowded, so we decided to give it a try. The menu has a decent selection of unpretentious food and the portions were generous. My cocktail was also good and I think everything was at a decent price. We were promptly served and the bartender was very professional and friendly. The food and atmosphere are not amazing, but overall the experience was very pleasant. So we’ll go back considering how limited the options are in the area to get food after a movie at Flatirons(after 10 pm).

Just fine for business travel when paid for by my employer. Pricey oh yeah, but it’s hotel food focused on business travelers and group meetings. I had a wonderful grilled artichoke appetizer. Very we’ll prepared and delicious. My entrée was a Trio of local meats(venison, elk and buffalo sausage). Very we’ll prepared and complimented with a Parmesan potato side and grilled asparagus.

For being a restaurant inside of a hotel(the Renaissance), in my experience this is a good restaurant. They offer a significantly sized nachos that can easily be shared between four people, maybe more. And the décor has a mountain-lodge feel, and they did a good job with it. The layout feels like it is a bit more than a casual dress area, but we(my wife and I) have yet to dress up much… I mean it’s in the bottom floor of a hotel. Anyways, it’s good enough that I would like to return… in fact I look forward to returning. They have had some neat specials in the past, wild game options the last time I was there. I like that a lot.
