Dirty Dog Grooming and Pet Botique

I am always pleased with how quickly they get my dog done. She does not have to sit in the cage all day while
they groom other dogs. I make an appointment and they get her done right away.

I was able to do a walk-​in on their DIY (do it yourself) wash. My dog had discovered the mud pit at the dog park and had transformed her usual white coat into a half black half white coat, so i was hesitant to try and do it at home. Luckily upon arriving herr, there was room at the DIY station and it was ONLY $ 12! An ample amount of shampoos to choose from, easy-​access washing stations, towels, brushes and vaccuum. Theres also complimentary treats for the good dog afterwards. Success!

They are as reasonably priced as advertised and took my dog the day after I called. He looks great with his summer cut and didn’t seem to have minded the groom when I returned for him. His ears were especially clean inside. The only downside is the place smells strongly of urine, but customers don’t stay, only the friendly staff.

Not only were they unfriendly to a new customer when we dropped off our pup but we picked her up with the most horrible cut. It was choppy and uneven EVERYWHERE. We called to let them know and they asked us to come back in to fix it. Which they did — thus the 2 stars.
My question is: Why would you let such a horrible cut leave your grooming facility? Needless to say, all it took was one visit and we’ll never go back.

Great team with positive attitude. Willing to assist and has a nice set up. Fees are appropriate. Has a variety of food & toy treats to purchase.

Super friendly, very affordable, plenty of towels, lots of different shampoos and such. Worth the drive across Broomfield.

I really liked this place. Why not the five stars? I’d take my dogs here exclusively if the place had a policy of requiring vaccination records.
Was able to get an appointment without much trouble and it was the best grooming my dogs have gotten since moving here in 2013. Super cheap ($ 50 for both dogs where normally I pay ~$ 90!) and quick!

I recently moved to the Denver area and was worried about finding a groomer for my shih-​tzu. Well, Dirty Dog is the first place I tried and I shan’t be looking further! The women in the salon were very pleasant. They were wonderful with my dog and did an excellent job grooming him.

Called this place not 5 minutes before leaving my house and driving across town to get some treats for my dog. Someone answered the phone and I knew they were open till 5pm. I get there at 4:10pm and the place is dark and locked up tight. No note was left. Wasted a trip across town and that’s a really crappy thing to do to your customers. Taking my business elsewhere.

Ladies showed great care for Peanut for his bathing and nail trimming. Very fair prices.

Love The Dirty Dog! When my dog was a puppy, another groomer in town could not do her and referred me to Lee at DD! That was 4 yrs ago and now I’m taking her and her puppy here. Only problem with giving a great review is it might be harder to get an appointment.

I’ve been going to Dirty Dog since they opened. It’s a wonderful place and the owner Leah is so good to the dogs. Previously I went to a place in town where I would drop off my shitzu in the morning and he wouldn’t be done til end of day. He was a stressed out mess! I always call and make an appt. For the guy who says he drops in and it’s closed, I guess he shouldn’t drop in. I call ahead a day or two, make an appt, show up at that time, and my dog is washed and gets a full hair cut and I’m called back in less than an hour. Less stress on the little guy.
I would never go anywhere else. Prices are good and I can take my huge chocolate lab in to the self wash where there is lots of room for her, use their water, towels, shampoo and all for less than $ 15!

The groomers here are extremely kind and they do a great job on my pooch. Lucy is a spaniel mix and she gets quite fluffy, so I know it’s not an easy job, especially when we wait too long between grooms. They actually listen when you give specific instructions: Lucy’s former groomer always did the tail all wrong. What spaniel likes a poofy-​at-​the-​end poodle-​tail? At The Dirty Dog Lucy always gets her nicely feathered spaniel tail. She gets sheared very closely during warm months, and she’s never been cut or nicked. At the other place, she was cut and got soap in her eyes to boot! At The Dirty Dog, she never leaves with red eyes. She loves the people there, and they love her.

Great place. Did the self-​service dog wash for $ 22 for two large dogs. They even supplied the shampoo, towels, and a dryer! Great space, lots of room, and superb service. Highly recommend!

I really like Dirty Dog and the people there. My dog doesn’t require a cut, just a bath and nail trim. They do a great job for a great price. I get appointments when I need them. I take my dog to them once every couple months. One time the owner must have seen my CU license plates because when we picked up our dog, he had a Buffs bandanna on! Another time our dog got a red, white, and blue bandanna — very patriotic! Also — I like the shampoos and conditioner they use because our dog smells fresh afterwards — not perfumey. I recommend Dirty Dog. It’s a great local, small business that I am happy to support.

I like this place, because the prices are right for a wash. I have two dogs both with relatively short hair. Every where else I asked wanted to charge me 50 dollars to wash my corgi, dachshund mix. My other is an Italian greyhound mix and they wanted 30 dollars for just him. Those are just outrageous prices for dogs that are very easy to wash and brush out. At Dirty Dog I only pay 30 for both of them.

I took my scottish terrier in to be groomed by Leigh. I picked up my dog and was told everything went fine and that my dog did well, I bought extra treats, a ball and pig ears also. But when we got home I notced my dog would not lay on her belly at all and seemed very uncomfortable and would wimper when she layed down. I layed her on her back and looked at her belly and found that two of her nipples had been severley cut and were very swollen and red and had dried blood all around them. I was not told about any cuts or knicks my dog had recieved. I had to take her to the vet to make sure they did not get/​were infected, buy a cone and vet balm for her nipples. I consider this as animal neglect and cruelty on the groomers part. I will NEVER take any of my animal back there. All I recieved was a refund for the grooming after calling twice to complain.

I took our labradoodle here for a cut and he came back looking really silly. It was not a pretty picture. I’d love to love this place as it’s by far closest to my house, but I can’t bring myself to do that to poor Petey Bean. Otherwise it seemed fine and the lady was nice and all — maybe he’s just a tough breed to get looking right.

If this place were ever reliably open, I’d be able to actually take my dogs in and give the self-​wash tubs a whirl. Each time I have tried, during normal business hours, it has been closed. With 8 – 5 as the only options, it’s hard to make time to go there. In a time of high fuel prices I try to plan all of my trips out to do several things in one trip, and this place fails me every time. Very frustrating.
Call ahead I guess?
