Won’t be going back anytime soon. For starters, the hostess that greets you when you walk through the door should have a personality. The rug outside was more personable than she was. I should have known it wasn’t going to go well when she was having a hard time deciding where to seat us. It must have been overwhelming with the grand total of 8 tables in this huge place. Decisions are hard. We were taken to the back room where it was ridiculously hot with no air movement. After asking to have the air conditioning turned on twice — I am sure it was not on, we are talking ZERO airflow — we were told we could be moved to another section, but we would have to wait because they were cutting someone. It’s dinner time on Father’s Day. Should have caught that clue too. The place should be packed. We never ended up being moved. Our server tried. I overheard him say he had only been there for about a week. Poor dude was flailing and had no assistance from management. He forgot items we requested and worst of all, admitted he got too busy and forgot we didn’t want to eat in the sauna. The manager came in and looked at the vents in the ceiling once and did nothing about the room temperature, nor did he come by the table to address our concern. He did, however, come in to give the large party next to us a discounted meal because they too had issues. Sad that this place has gone so far downhill. We used to love Buca. Guess we’ll start going to Maggiano’s from now on. Oh yeah, back to princess at the hostess stand. Resting bitch face is not a good look sweetie. Smile and say welcome, tell people it’ll be a moment while you get their table arranged and say thank you as the guests leave. You set the tone for everyone that walks through the door, coming and going. You should be canned. While you’re at it, can the management staff too. Obviously they don’t know what they are doing from beginning to end. Sad, sad, sad.

Wow, what a disappointment. We had this for lunch at work today for a coworkers going away and not one of the 15 ppl thought it was worth the $ 13 share. You could tell the pasta was cooked in am over crowded pot they didn’t let all the noodles individually cook so they were stuck together and almost crunchy in some spots. No nearly enough sauce. The meat sauce still had the taste of «can» which fades when sauce is cooked for a period of time. Anything any of is would have made at home and brought would have been better.

Food was good, but overly pricey. We were celebrating a birthday. While most restaurants offer some sort of desert for this occasion, was not the case with Buca. Strange that with such high prices they don’t have enough of a margin to pay for a small dessert. Wait staff was friendly and attentive.

Oh so pricy and if your party hasn’t preplanned what they are going to order there can be too much food gone to waste. Our server did not explain much about the menu other than it was family style and either small serves 3 and large serves 5. We ordered Antipasto plate and never got it and had to ask twice to have it taken off our bill. We were a party of 12 put in the back room corner with no air circulation and it was so loud we could barely hear our selves talk. The food took longer than normal to be served, our total time in the restaurant was over two hours. The food was tasty but our local Italian Restaurant is just as good if not better and for less money. Needless to say we won’t be back nor will we recommend others to go there.

It’s so terrible I don’t know where to begin. To be clear I’m adjusting for chain and price point here. When you only hire 18 – 22 year olds and have 18 – 22 year olds managing them what ensues is entirely predictable and completely catastrophic. The disaster of the whole thing? Guess who picks up the check?

I found out that the pasta is not hand made and they receive it in packages. The sauce is good but doesn’t taste like the homemade sauce you ate in your mothers kitchen. The servings are nice. If I’m really hungry I can count on eating the whole plate to fill me up. For me I like coming to Bucca because of the atmosphere and how it makes me feel like I’m at home. But if you want the real stuff I’d go somewhere else.

My husband and I spent $ 100 on two«small» family entrees and an appetizer. Our pasta tasted like it was from a box and the chicken had a strange flavor like it had been reheated in a microwave. Are server was awesome but I’m sure I won’t return! This was around 7:30 on a Friday night and I only saw 3 other tables Seated. Hmmm I’m sure I know why. *IFYOURLOOKINGFORGREATITALIANTRYBOVASITALIAN!*

We used to go to the Buca in San Diego a lot and I used to love their Spicy chicken rigatoni(minus chicken). After moving to Colorado we found this place when I was craving for some spicy pasta. From then my husband and I have been hooked to this place and the quality of their food has been consistent. We don’t mind that it’s a rather quieter place compared to the other restaurants asking as the food taste good:) the staff has been very friendly too! Recommend this place if you are looking for a casual dining.

Came here for a Valentines day dinner, although it was a day early. Food was very good and we did have a lot of food on the table. Will be coming back again.

This place has gone down hill we used to live coming here it was always fun people talking and laughing having a good time. So we went here tonight Friday night you would think that it would be busy but it wasn’t which is kinda strange and should have been our first inkling that something wasn’t right. We saw the woman manager and and the host getting into and very loud discussion(made us very uncomfortable). So we went and sat down at the bar and there was no one else sitting there and just happened to notice that it was very very quiet and you would have thought that the bar is where the fun people would be it was way to quiet. The bartender didn’t even offer us a menu I had to get it myself. We ordered an ice tea and a water and she had to go somewhere in the back to get them, hum no water at the bar? Strange, she was gone for the better half of 10 minutes, it’s just water and tea the easiest thing you can get. But I guess it was an ordeal. I didn’t look like anyone in the restaurant patrons or employees were enjoying themselves. It’s just a very sad place. WONTBEGOINGBACKANYTIMEINTHENEARFUTUER!

Went in on Christmas. At this point, I already knew service would be lax considering it was after 8pm(and who wants to work on Christmas?) That’s okay. My server was clearly new to his job and our interaction was akward. That’s okay, too. What I wasn’t okay with was how I was seen with eye contact by the manager on duty, bartender, and plenty of «bussers» well enough where THEY knew my table needed things. We needed drinks. We needed side plates and were corrected by our server that they were actually«appetizer plates». Thanks, server. We needed bread he forgot about. We needed boxes in the end, but more than any of that, we needed to be checked on. He was gone like the wind. ALL of the staff, especially the«bussers» were carrying on about their personal lives as if customers weren’t there, standing right next to us. I blame all of this on the manager on duty, who was present for 90% of this nonsense. Run a respectable restaurant, not a highschool bakesale. Oh, and p. s. tell me good bye and thanks when you see me leave. Don’t just watch me. A merry Christmas would be nice. I even tipped 18% to the poor guy. This is to the M.O.D.

When we come to the area to visit with family, this is our spot. They never have any problem seating 18 – 20 of us. We always call ahead the day before to see about getting the Pope Room. They do a wonderful job with walking everyone thru the kitchen and giving you a chance to see the deco. If your a fan of Frank and Sophia, you’ll feel at home. We select family style food with a couple salads and four to five main dishes. We never have room for desserts. I have been to several of their locations and this one lives up to their reputation as a family restaurant. Make sure you stop by and try them out. If your not a big group, the bar area is perfect. I highly recommend.

Buca di Beppo at it’s worst is fun, filling, and solid. On night’s like tonight it can point on a 5-Star performance. Alex is far and away the best server and tonight was our first night we were seated in his section. He has always went out of his way to entertain our child and always seemed to be happy to be working. We have made many visits and will continue to do so. Bring your appetite, a heavy wallet, and look out for coupons and Groupons because they are out there and will save you between $ 10-$ 20.

If you are Italian with a sense of humor you will find the décor and ambiance a throwback to all the Italian memories from growing up. Food is good not great, but worth the visit. The Pope table is a bit sacrelgious, but when in Italy!

Horrible! Worst service I have ever had and I held my wedding reception here 2 years ago. Not sure what happened but this place went down hill fast. Will never be back.

I would give a 2 star for the service but a 3.5 star for the food. Although their food has declined a bit in quality since my first buca experience a couple years ago with portion sizes being reduced greatly and food not being as flavorful as once remembered, I’m still a sucker for their family style Italian meals that are pretty authentic and comforting in their flavors. I’m a believer in their frutti de mare, for sure. However, I hate to note upon the awful takeout experience my family had last weekend where they completely butchered our order and when we hoped to sit for dinner at 7PM, we were set back considerably due to the order mishap. Yes, buca rectified the situation but not in the most forgiving manner that I expected. It seemed reminiscent to another instance when I dined in and the wait time and seating experience left a bad taste in my mouth that no amount of food Italian food could counteract.

I have always liked Buca, it’s good for a nice solid meal. It’s a fun environment and I feel like the experience and food is always pretty much the same from state to state. The atmosphere is fun with all of the pictures and paintings on the walls and ceilings. The portions are HUGE and definitely meant to be shared. I love the chopped anitpasto salad that is fairly similar to a Greek salad but with a lot more added in. I also like the spicy chicken rigatoni that isn’t too spicy for me but it’s really tasty. Most recently we got the carbonara, but unless you like a lot(and I mean a lot) of sauce, I wouldn’t recommend it. Seriously, our pasta bowl looked like a bowl of soup. I tasted really good but about halfway through it got too rich. Overall, it’s good food at a good price with a fun environment.

We placed a carry out order for Christmas Eve this year, and we were pretty happy. I liked the convenience of online ordering. This allowed me to place our order early in the week so I wouldn’t be scrambling at the last minute. The location is convenient both to my work and the area mall which worked well today! Portions were beyond generous! We had more than enough — I ordered a large spaghetti and a small fettuccine Alfredo. We could have gotten two smalls and still had plenty for the group. Prices were a little high. Higher than Maggiano’s anyways. Additionally, I get that it’s the holidays, but the gal running the takeout window could have maybe been a little gentler with customers. Definitely worth it though!

I decided to eat out for Thanksgiving and just relax. I had the Thanksgiving offering with turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, cranberries, italian sausage dressing and of course pumpkin pie. The meal was very good and I had enough leftovers to have lunch for the next couple of days. The service was spot on and no signs of bitterness for having to work on this holiday(30% tip). I will give this place a try for lasagne one of these days.
