Great food. Terrible customer service. I’ve been three times and I’ve had two different older waitresses. Not pleasant to deal with whatsoever. The owner on the other hand is lovely.

Food is average(at best), way overpriced and portion sizes are very small.

Dependable place for noshing. Jewish deli style, but not kosher in the selections. Try the Mishegoss sandwich.

I came in here for a late breakfast and I ordered eggs with a side of corned beef hash. The server brought out my eggs and home fries but forgot to put in for my side of hash. I ended up waiting 15 minutes for the hash and had cold eggs. The hash was still raw and the home fries were as hard as a rock. The food here is overpriced and not very good.

Had a breakfast sandwich which was pretty standard but once I tried the breakfast potatoes that came with I knew I had to write a review. They are the most delicious perfectly browned little nuggets I’ve had in a while.

I grew up on the Main Line and always went to Hymie’s for deli. I live in Wallingford now and it’s a haul to go all the way there for some good deli. Dad is in town and always wants Hymie’s so instead of driving up there we went to Mrs Marty’s instead. Dad had his usual fish platter and I had my usual breakfast, both were very good. We even brought home take out for dinner, corned beef specials to make. The restaurant was nice and comfy, the service was excellent. We finally found a deli near me to go to from now on. I highly recommend this place for deli.

Soooo overpriced. Omg. They are charging downtown prices, but in broomall. Food was subpar on top of that! Don’t think I’ll be back.

Absolutely insulting prices. 13 dollars for a roast beef and cheese(nothing else on it) on a Keiser roll and a 12 Oz soda. Also half the meat on it as before when I’d always get the same sandwich. Less food, higher prices. Absolutely rediculous. I will not go back again.

I avoided this place for a really long time after hearing gross things from a friend who was a former employee. Finally I decided to try the place out for myself and see why they seemed to always be packed. It’s a little awkward seating yourself because the place is so narrow, you have to walk all the way to the back to figure out if there is actually seating or not. By the time you get to the back and realize there isn’t, the customers behind you grab a booth of people just about ready to leave. The tables are clearly wiped down with the same old stinky wash cloth. The meals you receive used to include more and use to be more flavorful, this time around it was lifeless food which had to be covered in salt and butter in order to be eaten. I also really hate the fact that they don’t butter the toast fresh out of the toaster, then you have basically raw butter on the bread and it’s almost uneatable. I haven’t eaten the lunch or dinner foods, so I can’t review on that, but I’m disappointed how much the food has gone down in such a short period of time.

I pass this place by all the time while in the Lawrence Park shopping center, but have usually stopped at one of the chain restaurants in the center. The place has a very relaxed neighborhood vibe. Seems very popular with local area residents based on conversation by the cash register. Pros: they have wifi, although I couldn’t get it to connect the whole time I was there. Food is decent, good selection, very tasty pancakes and decent home fries. They sell lottery tickets. Cons: parking is awful. For the price the portions should be slightly larger in my opinion. The coffee leaves much to be desired. Overall a decent place. There is room for improvement, but only my first visit so updates to come. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Passes for a deli, but not great food at all. Places like Hymies, Famous 4th street, Schlessingers downtown are way, way better. Fair portion for the price, but nothing to remember at all.

Expensive and dirty! I am not sure what is more shocking, Mrs. Marty’s prices or how filthy it is. I’ve seen mice in there on more than one occasion, yet they still remain fairly crowded. I don’t get it. I’ve also had the displeasure of seeing behind Mrs. Marty’s. The smell that come from their dumpsters is sickening. With the amount of money Mrs. Marty’s makes there is no excuse. Its time to call an exterminator and clean that place up!

We just moved to Broomall less than a year ago and have been looking for a new local breakfast place… Found It! These guys are fast without sacrificing Quality! My wife raved over the The Veggie Patch omelette(Philadelphia Magazine’s best omelette) and would order it over and over again while my mushroom and swiss omelette was most excellent. Staff is friendly and helpful… nice size menu, our new breakfast place!

I try to get to every Jewish deli in short driving distance to me at least once. Don’t know what took me so long to get here but today was Mrs Marty’s day for me. Luckily I had time to kill before a doctor appointment nearby and I have to eat somewhere. It’s probably not fair to compare a place like this to a New York deli. It’s also probably not fair to compare it to a place like Hymie’s, which is my favorite local Jewish deli that is bigger and does so many things well. However… Since Mrs Marty is charging a full dollar more for their turkey special than Hymie’s does($ 10.99 vs $ 9.99… Look it up), they’re getting compared in a big way. Hey, you want to charge prices like the big boys, that’s the way it goes. I will judge a place like this on the quality of their matzoh ball soup and turkey special since they’re my two favorite things to order. I enjoyed the matzoh ball soup. They put huge vegetable chunks in the soup. It makes it nice and hearty. The turkey special… It’s big enough but Hymie’s is bigger. The turkey tasted like a notch above Dietz and Watson, where Hymie’s tastes like it’s off the bone. It’s a good sandwich, but it isn’t Hymie’s good. My sandwich, soup, and iced tea ran me $ 18. I expect to pay when I go to a deli, but yes this is high. I will come back for breakfast sometime. I do like their bagel selection that’s available. Unlike others who have reviewed here my service was lightning fast. Mrs Marty’s has good things going for it. Even if my sandwich was a bit overpriced it still satisfied me. It’s definitely 3 star good. — — — — — — – I’ve been back for breakfast a couple times since I wrote that a month ago. I will say that their breakfasts are quite tasty. I enjoy their bagels very much as well as their breakfast sandwiches. But it’s $ 3.99 for a sesame bagel with chive cream cheese. I learned that today. It was wonderful. Excellent flavor. But if I’m paying $ 3.99 for a bagel and cream cheese, it better sing and dance for me before I eat it. This is what will keep this place as only an occasional visit for me.

The food was OK. Pretty run of the mill. Server was a complete doll. The reason for 3 stars is it took a fairly long time to get our food. It wouldn’t have been a bother but I got my food and the server mentioned someone taking the order of fries. I ate my whole sandwich before they arrived. Had them boxed up which was a bit frustrating. I’d try it again though.

I just bought their bagel chips and they were stale and I had to throw them away. Disappointing. The customer service isn’t too good either.(It’s not going to kill them to smile once!) Anyway, a lot of the food is good, but I’ve seen better delis with better customer service attitude.

I thought this was an okay place. The matzo ball soup was good and warm. I tried the Jewish roll and I thought — apart from the abundance of bread, that is was good and tasteful. Service was excellent and done with a smile. The only shock to me was the price. We paid almost $ 20 each for lunch sandwiches and extras. I thought that was a way off for what we ordered. Everything else I thought was okay.

Typical Jewish deli/diner. I go here occasionally for breakfast and can really only speak to that, but it’s pretty good. It’s not the kind of place I go out of my way for, however I have no problem stopping in when in the area. I don’t really love the coffee, I find it kind of weak, but I like the omelets and home fries which is really what I’m after in a place like that. The wait staff is usually very friendly and accommodating for special requests. Overall, a descent spot for breakfast.

Went here for lunch with my grandmom and aunt. It was a monday early afternoon and was packed! I ordered an italian hoagie. It was good. Didn’t try any of anyone else’s meal. Grandmom wanted to order half a cheesesteak. The waitress said no problem. Then came back about 10 minutes later and said it was a problem. Grandmom was forced to order a whole(usually places do not mind and are nice enough to just make her half). We are not complainers, so we agreed. I agree with the other reviewers that it is a bit overpriced. Our bill came to $ 40 for lunch. That’s a bit steep! It was a nice place overall. Our waitress was nice. I may be back because of the convenient location… or just grab some cheaper delicious burgers next door instead ;)

When a place has been around for over 25 years you figure they must have something going for them. I’ve been going here off and on for about 15 of those 25. I stop by mostly for breakfast and they do a solid 3 star job. A good breakfast with drink is going to cost you somewhere between 5 and 10 bucks. For example their Breakfast Special of two eggs, home fries, juice, toast, and coffee is $ 4.79. If you get a fancy omelet you’ll start heading towards $ 10.00. Because they are in Lawrence Park Plaza parking is a breeze. This is a nice place to fortify yourself while running errands on a Saturday morning.
