They know what they doing, make good food with women wearing very little clothes to serve the food so that customers come. The food is on point, I always order what they have out on hot plates because the service will be quicker. All they need to do is serve it. I had Ox tail, empanadas, chicken, tendon soup, tripe soup, spaghetti and they all are good. The price for an average meal is about $ 7. It’s very close to Fulton street and a small restaurant that you should stop by.

Service isn’t on point. But the food is. We get the oxtail and goat specials and both are delicious. Served w a lot of yellow rice some beans, very tasty and a great bargain.

This is another one of those rock-bottom, unpretentious, ‘keepin’ it real’ places –where you ought not to go if you’re demanding, snooty, entitled, privileged, or possess any other of the typical bourgeois, Park Sloper, power-consumer traits. In that case, this place is not for you. They will not cater to your whims and demands, here. They will not coddle you. There is no fine décor or ornaments or amenities. Its a simple greasy spoon type place. Linoleum floor, rickety tables. A couple of cute counter-girls. There’s a jukebox, but no TVs. You come here for cheap, filling spicy, food. From the tiny kitchen in back come simple, flavorful, plates of sizzling Mexican food. Not gourmet. Hearty. Working-class Mexican food. Fresh cilantro, fresh limes, fresh guac on everything. There’s a fridge case with a few sodas, and three choices of bottled beer. Filling meals under $ 10. And that’s it. That’s the long and the short of it. Don’t come here with your silly laptops, don’t come here looking to cross your legs, lean back, gossiping– godamn feeble palsies. This is a working man’s eatery.

The chicken is dry and the pork is still a little hard and dry. But the taste is nice and the price is worthy

Good food, but the service… ugh. Either we hit a busy time or just did not luck out. A few friends and I went here to grab a bite to go during a jaunt over at Mission Dolores. We ordered our pretty simple orders: some tacos and an order of mofongo, and we were told 20 minutes. We waited close to an hour. It’s a good thing the food was great! It was one of the better batches of mofongo with chicharron that I’ve had, loaded with great red beef gravy and avocados. After years of living in Washington Heights and Inwood, I’d like to think I know good mofongo, haha, and this was definitely up there! I even had enough left over for lunch next day! My friend had great and loaded nachos, and others enjoyed their tacos, loaded with large chunks of juicy meat. I just can’t get over that wait! Eh. It happens.

This place was authentic and delicious! Great lunch spot for a small group of people to sit and eat fairly quickly. Loved it.

Some of the driest roast pork I’ve had. I went very close to opening hour so I don’t understand why I’d even deal with this.

It may be because I’m not used to this type of Hispanic food, or my taste buds are untrained, but this stuff is In particular the stuff that’s on the steam tables. Nice good, clean power lunches here. Come here JUUUST about everyday for my lunch break, if I don’t feel like being very adventurous.

Really really good Spanish food. It’s a small hole int he wall place, they have a sit down area but I always get food to go here. Super cheap and super delicious! The chicken empanada is awesome. Lots of flavor on the pulled chicken, the bread to meat ratio was great. I always check for sweet fried plantains here. They don’t always have it but when they do they are yummy. Super ripe and sweet! I often get their rice and beans and it is delicious. Been trying to catch their bacalao(stewed fish) but they always run out when I get there. It looks really good. If you want really good and really authentic and cheap spanish food go here! It’s small, dingy, a bit gritty and oh so fantastic!

Good and cheap, which is something I always look for when in the mood for some Spanish food. Yomaris restaurant is very rare in Park slope, the last of just 2 or 3 Caribbean Spanish restaurants left in the neighborhood. Lunch specials are available daily, you have many options to choose from, from Pernil(roast pork) to baked chicken, ribs, oxtail, even stewed fish. Plenty to choose from, all paired with rice and beans and sweet plantains, a complete lunch all for under $ 8. A complete meal that will leave you sleepy after. They are open for breakfast and dinner as well, I recommend stoping in early in the morning for a typical Dominican breakfast called«Mangu», smashed green plantains with fried eggs, Dominican fried salami, pickled onions and fried cheese. Really good, but again, it will leave you sleepy after lol. Good, cheap and plenty.

This is like the good ol’ days of Park Slope in the 90’s. Its latin comfort food and delicious. Perfect for HUGE appetites, carb dense meals. The Tostones(fried plantains) are my favorite especially with hot sauce all over. I wish they had sancocho

Roast pork($ 7), nicely prepared, but not particularly interesting. The beans! Amazing and saucy. Awesome value when you just need to sit down and stuff your freaking face!

Tasty, cheap, authentic, meaty and a bit of a dive — was such a perfect place to happen upon on a frigid winter day. We had chicken stew, yellow rice, sweet plantains and a side of yucca. So delicious. A little tip — skip the menu and check out what they offer behind the counter, since that’s where all the dishes are simmering away. Order what looks good — like the stews!

This is a cheap, no frills, Latin take-out restaurant.(However, there is some seating.) The food reminds me of home style Dominican food and is very tasty. You can get a platter with rice for around $ 5. Their beef empandas are really good and decent sized. It’s the flour kind(i.e. not made of corn). Definitely recommend this place if you are in the area and in the mood for Latin food with no frills. Not a typical place for a date though.

I grew up in the South Bronx during the seventies, when the South Bronx was REALLY the South Bronx. This place brings me back to that time when Salsa Vieja rocked the joint, not the hizzee. The Pernil is so delicious that I sometimes have to cross the street to keep from going in there every day. Likewise for the Pollo Guisada. The sides(rice, beans, plátano dulce, etc.) are both fly AND fresh, franchise. Never get the chicharrón. For two reasons, please don’t. For one thing, less for me. For another, it is another addiction. Fried pork skin with meat and bone attached. Get this with rice and beans. Less than seven bucks and enough for two meals. They also have a reasonably priced breakfast. I get the egg and cheese on a roll with a coffee — $ 3.50. Get there early, they close at around eight and run out of food.
