Don’t like the pizza or anything else for that matter, except the cheese steak. It is pretty great, but damn greasy. Even for a cheesesteak it’s damn greasy.

This food is life. I’ve gone to Vinny’s since my uncle first brought me when I was 10 years old. This food is great Brooklyn-Italian food. I definitely prefer going to stay, sitting down & getting the full experience rather than doing takeout although it’s probably still good. I have nothing bad to say about this place, it’s craving worthy and they might potentially have the best bread in Brooklyn.

Pass it by. My husband and I were sorely disappointed with the food at Vinnys on Court Street. Greasy, overpriced, took a turn for the worse. Appearances can be deceiving. Rondell I think you are right.

Came in from Chicago looking for a classic NY slice and definitely found it here. Pizza was so good!

Horrible. I went inside to take a look to see what’s left(9pm) nothing sparked my interest and the worker(Spanish male) thanked me for coming in and then from the breath of another(white male) whispered thank you for leaving. How rude! Will not be coming back to this garbage pizza place.

Was excited to see they had Rice Ball specials and Panelles. I am Sicilian and these are the comfort foods my Grandfather would make. First disappointment was when they called back to tell me they had no Panelles and substituted them with French Fries. Boring, crinkle cut, frozen fries. The Rice Ball was too mushy and the sauce was way too sweet. I heard a weird whirring sound as I ate it and realized it was my Grandfather spinning in his grave.

i can’t believe the other Unilocal reviews that bash the service here. if anything the service is the best part of this place. every single time i come here the staff is super friendly and 48 hours is usually playing on the flat screen… which i always sit down to watch for a few minutes while my slice is warming up. if anyone else from«California» wants to write a Unilocal review for pizza please think twice. you guys had the OC… give us the pizza pie.

Most of the critical reviewers are right, this place has remnants of greatness but is horrible because of the service and the sauce. On service, the help seemed to be completely in different and I waited for 5 mins before anyone would even say hi or take my order. The place was dead. The service is as bad as the décor. On the food side, I had a grandma and an eggplant. First off I give the crust 4⁄5 stars. It’s the saving grace of the food. What completely kills it is the super sweet pizza sauce. On the grandma slice the sweet sauce is bearable and almost enjoyable, but on the eggplant, it’s almost nauseating and it is clear that the flavors in the pizza do not pair well with sugar. Frankly I’ve never tasted sauce on a pizza this sweet. I actually like a nice savory sweet sauce that’s robust, but this sauce is just completely wrong. If you don’t believe me, I suppose you can try it, but don’t hope for much. What completely kills it for me, and the reason I won’t come back is the price. It’s crazy high for a Brooklyn slice. I’m not sure what they are thinking. $ 1.50 for a can of soda, and $ 7.50 for an eggplant slice and grandma slice.

I read all these great reviews so I decided to stop in. They don’t take credit cards — cash only. I only had a few bucks on me so I just tried one slice, figured I’d come back next time for a bigger dish. I don’t think I met«Vinny», but the guys working there left a bad taste in my mouth. It was just a poor experience in customer service and I left feeling less than impressed. Foodwise, the pizza had a very sweet sauce and I have to say, it wasn’t my thing. It seemed overloaded with sauce and the toppings kept falling off into a mushy sort of mess on the plate. I’m going to try the other places around this neighborhood. I will not be back.

Gotta love Vinny’s. I’ve been loving Vinny’s pizza for eight years now. Every time I’m in the neighborhood I feel like I have to pick up at least one slice. The Grandma is to die for. Also try the plain and Capresa.

Decent pizza, hard to give it more stars due to it being compared to the rest of the brilliant pizza spots in carroll gardens. However it is open late which rules and the pizza and prices are not bad at all. I’ve never had it delivered so I can’t comment on that. Worth stopping by if you need to grab a quick slice or if it’s late and nothing else is open in the neighborhood.

Stopped in for a slice of pizza after work and got the margherita. The sauce was very sweet — not what I’m used to. I wasn’t a fan. I’m not going back.

Excellent Penne alla vodka: best in the neighborhood. I have ordered for delivery several times from this place and the people are kind and delivery is prompt.

The oh-so-elusive perfect NY slice. Of course this is not the same as your brick/wood oven/gourmet varieties with fresh Buffalo Mozz, etc… But all the world yearns for and tries to duplicate the perfect NY slice, and cannot. So there ya go. BTW I have many cousins named Vinny. Just sayin’.

I used to really like Vinny’s, but it has gone severely downhill. I ordered last week during lunch time and my delivery took over an hour. I said something to the delivery guy and he said they had some big lunch orders come in… at 2pm, you know how that is… So I gave them another chance tonight, on a WEDNESDAY. It’s now been an hour and 20 minutes and I call and am continually being told it’ll be just 5 minutes. Yeh, ok. I’m never ordering here again.

This review is for a delivery pie a few weeks back ordered through GrubHub. No Damn Good. The pizza was serviceable, but unrecognizable compared to the Vinny’s I love. I wasn’t even certain it was the same place and had to double check. Also, I could have phrased my order better, but I said half onions and peppers, half onions and meatballs, then they charged me for two halves of onion, which was a dollar more than the cost for a whole pie’s worth of onion. WTF, not cool. I recommend going to the shop yourself instead.

This place has got a lot worse and a lot more expensive over the years. They recently bumped the pizza up to $ 3.50 a slice which is just insane especially for this pizza(yet it only costs $ 14.00 for a large cheese pie.hm.discrepancy, much?) The guys at the counter are reasonably nice, I’ll give them that. But the price is what does it. When the old Italian, Joe, owned this place, things were cheap and everything ran smoothly — the pizza was great. Since a couple years ago some new guys owns it and the quality has just gone downhill. Head south about 2 or 3 blocks on the opposite side of the street to find better pizza for $ 2.00 a slice. well worth it.

Was bike riding through Bococa BK, yesterday and late in the afternoon I had hunger pain. I really can use a quick pick me up, cause, I was feeling hungry, exhausted and lacking mental judgment(from a previous night of binge drinking). Anyway, as I was biking from the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, I cruised along Court Street and I could not take it anymore. So I stopped, in front of this pizza joint, and placed my bike in what seemed like an Italian clubhouse, and had to quickly find a spot after an old Italian lady started cursing and giving me hand gestures to move it? Which I didn’t cause I don’t understand Italian. After she left(pissed off) I ordered through Vinny’s pick up window. I got two Sicilian slices and a Manhattan Special, Six bucks not bad. The slices tasted good, but the crust was different, very tasty, crispy and moist. don’t get me wrong it was not the best I’ve ever had, but it was very satisfying. Next time I’m in the Bococa region I will definitely eat again at Vinny’s. Thank you and have a nice day!
