This store has amazing service! I highly recommend buying your travel gear here! The store offers great service for repairs. I bought a luggage case at a well known department store before I knew about the luggage store, and on my last trip home from Hong Kong American Airlines broke the wheel off. I called a lot of stores and The Luggage Shop was the only store that helped me. They sent my luggage to a repair shop to fixed the wheel and it came back perfect! The experience was easy and stress free and very affordable!

The Travel Store packs a lot of accessories onto their walls in Williamsburg, Brooklyn and somehow keep it all organized and an gave me an easy shopping experience. The guy at the store spends time to explain the merchandise and will recommend one over the other, not thinking about up-​selling. Great customer service. The variety of merchandise stocked blew me away. Container for your toothbrush? Luggage tags and dozens of bags. Tefillin bags. Waterproof phone bags. Lunch bags. And even kids travel games. I’ll stop in again before a big trip to make sure I don’t forget any travel essentials.

I travel to the east coast twice a year and have done business with them in the past. Not anymore. They never returned my calls and dealing with them in person wasn’t any better. Moshe couldn’t be bothered to be polite or professional. There are plenty of other stores that offer a more pleasant experience.

Martin, the owner, is the best I needed something quick and inexpensive and he waited for me for half n hour after closing to accommodate me. He was very patient and explained all my choices very patiently and helped me select a good product within my range. Absolutely recommended!

My online shopping experience with Forthego​.Com wasn’t exactly a smooth ride. There was quite a bit of unnecessary frustration because there was no way to track my order. None of the phone numbers listed on the Unilocal and their website was working. Fortunately, after nearly 5 days, I finally got an email from them informing that my order wass shipped. Today I got a call from their rep named Moshe to make sure that I receive my shipment and to explain to me that their phone system (both store and for the website customer support) was down for few days. I do appreciate them taking their online business and customers seriously enough to call me and explain to me about their phone problem. However, it would be really helpful if he could email me and let me know about their phone system issues sooner. That would save me lots of agony.
Anyhow, the shipment arrived today as scheduled and was well-​packaged. Most important of all, I now have what I need for my upcoming trip to Iceland. Thanks.

This place is amazing. Definitely worth the trip from Manhattan for its wide selection, very reasonable prices, and fast service. I was looking for duffel bags for my move out of NY and purchased two huge expandable duffel bags for $ 65 including tax. I was in and out of the store in five minutes. Really impressive.

This place is excellent! They have every size of bag you could want, extremely helpful service and very reasonable prices. They also carry a dizzying array of travel accessories from neck pillows to things to keep the kids busy inflight. I highly recommend it.

Knowledgable sales staff and huge selection of inventory. I asked for a piece of luggage they didn’t have on the floor and my salesperson, referenced their website and got the luggage for me from their back supply.

This place was awesome. Great service and very knowledgeable. I got an excellent piece ($ 320 retail) for $ 130. The same piece is $ 160 at Macy’s. So I saved a little bit of money and knew I was picking the right piece because they were so knowledgeable and helpful. My girlfriend couldn’t decide between two pieces, and they were extremely patient, giving her advice while she waffled for 20 minutes. That piece was less discounted, (found it for the same price online) but was still an excellent buy. I would absolutely buy here again. Anything they don’t have that you want, they’ll order for you.

I went here based on the reviews to grab a carry-​on sized bag for a quick trip from NY to France and back. And all of these reviews are spot on. The guys in the shop couldn’t be nicer or more helpful. Quick and easy and inexpensive and have most everything you’ll need to a trip out of town. I’m a fan.

I’m staying in NYC/​Brooklyn for a few days on my way from Seattle to Portugal, and I just stopped in to this luggage spot because it was around the corner from a friend’s house. The selection was great, the staff was knowledgeable and super helpful and I would highly recommend. The staff let me open packages to make sure something would work for me before I bought it, converted metric to imperial measurements online for me, and had a measuring tape handy to ensure the straps I was going to buy would fit around my bag!

I just needed some affordable luggage for my one-​way move back to Colorado and Moishe at For the Go was wonderful. He was very helpful, informed and no-​pressure. Definitely go check out For the Go for a pleasant luggage-​buying experience.
