The Noble Experiment

Nice little place with an interesting story and delightful staff.
Though it is a little off the beaten trail, this distillery offers some unique drinks, and an all around wonderful experience.
Though the drinks are a tad on the high side considering the location (7 for beers, 10 – 13 for mixed drinks) I felt that it was overall well worth as your supporting a small local business and interacting with a fun energetic staff. I wish them the best of luck and hope that you try them out!

What noble experiment –Owney’s rum is doing for the artisan rum category is nothing short of amazing.
Their product is the best in class white rum, essentially creating a whole new category. The product itself is complex, with abundant tropical fruit Flavors, smooth and pure. It was created with craft cocktails in mind, but is also excellent neat or on the rocks.
The story behind it at the same time honors and echoes a dark era in American history, prohibition, The Noble experiment. The famous rum runner nicknamed Owney, is the inspiration. I highly recommend this rum to any rum fan. Currently they have sold about 4000 cases this year, but look for some explosive growth, as rum aficionados everywhere discover it. If you are a spirits fan, it’s well worth a trip out to their small distillery in Brooklyn.
