My husband and I had a late lunch here today before going to the movies. What a disappointment. The meal was definitely not what it used to be before Hurricane Sandy. The soup was too salty, the entrée very bland and the raspberry iced tea was so so. The meal we had was definitely not worth the $ 60 we spent. Want a delicious meal, go to Applebee’s which is on Emmons Ave not far from the TGI Friday’s.

I always sit at the bar because I seen the bartenders dip their straw into someone’s drink then served it to them with no hassle it was gross never thought I’d be seeing that especially out in the open where everyone can see you ??? Lol

Hi I love tgif I come all the time for happy hour with friends at different locations however I decided to go to the one by Knapp street in Brooklyn. Well everything was all good until I lost my wallet there that night of course no one turned it in and they were able to use my credit card to pay for food that night no Id was asked for. I called and spoke with 2 different managers the 1st manager tried to be as helpful as he could even told me he would look at the cameras and call me back never got a call back from him!!! I spoke to the 2nd manager who seemed to have knowledge of the incident and told me its cameras everywhere in the restaurant except where I was sitting. I was truly disgusted. You can go there but go at your own risk! Guard your personal belongings with your life!!!

I come to Friday’s all the time, I’ve been going to Friday’s since I lived in Minnesota and me and my best friend would catch the 2 for 10 here. Today I decide to come and have lunch because I woke up late, while I’m explaining to the bartender what I wanted a man comes up to me and says can I help you? I said no, help with what? He says YOUCANTSTANDHEREYOUGOTTAMOVE mind you there’s no customers here, I would suggest not going there if he’s on the clock. If you don’t want to be not treated like a valued customer then come when he’s not working. The manager Eric was very rude to me, as long as I’ve been coming here no one has ever been rude, He could have said can you please move because this is the server station?

As much as I used to hate this place, I have to say they’re doing a lot to make it a better place to eat. Before Sandy it was disgusting in here. Fruit flies and gnats everywhere, the food was nasty and it was just not good at every turn. Fast forward to 2016. Their menu has many more options, the service is much better and they are out to make the customer happy. For instance, on two separate occasions I came in and ordered something that I really didn’t like. Not their fault, it just wasn’t my thing. Both times, they took the dish off my bill without me saying a word about it. That’s great customer service. I give three stars mainly because for one, they advertise on their menu having my favorite beer and they actually don’t have it. And two because the bruschetta chicken pasta which used to be so so good made with angel hair pasta and just a hint of sauce is now made with fettuccine pasta and slathered in so much sauce it can’t be enjoyed at all because it’s all you taste, instead of a nice blend of the chicken, pasta and sauce. Also, the spinach dip has gotta go. Or at least change the cheeses. The mixture of those two particular cheeses just doesn’t work. I thoroughly enjoyed the jack Daniels sampler platter and the miso wings though, so I’m glad that’s one of their signature«things». All in all, I would probably come back for happy hour to eat some apps and have a few beers at the bar but not really for a meal.

Waited for 40 minutes for a table and ended up with horrible food. When my Cajun chicken and shrimp came it was dried out and cold. Sent it back. My son ate his entire meal and I still did not get my dinner. Needless to say I left very dissatisfied. There won’t be a next time.

L.M.A.O. what a nightmare. The other recent 1 star ratings pretty much sum up how I feel, but I’ll throw in my own personal experience for your entertainment. 8 of us came by around 6:30pm on Sunday for a Mother’s Day meal with my family. We were told there was a 1.5 hour wait. This seemed exceptionally long to me, but I chalked it up to being Mother’s Day so it was busy(seems like that wasn’t the reason). After a drive around the bay, we came back to check on the status of our table, and they told us it would be «10 more minutes»(this was after waiting the full 1.5 hours). 10 minutes go by, we check again«10 more minutes»… we were visibly frustrated so they offered to split our group up and seat us side by side at adjacent booths. This was really ridiculous but at that point we figured it was our only option. Btw, this is a huge restaurant, and obviously a chain– you’d think they’d have a more efficient way of keeping things organized, but no. They had everyone’s names written down on a piece of paper. They bring us to the booths and we notice a long table directly across from us and we ask if we can just sit there once the party is finished. They said sure, it should only be «about 10 minutes» but that we had to go wait at the front again. My mom then suggested that perhaps we could just move to the table once they were done and the waitress said once she sat us at the booths, we couldn’t move. We were like ??? Alas we stayed at the booths and were pretty bummed that we couldn’t all sit together. You would think that for a party of 8, they would try to be accommodating to us, yet it was like we were the ones causing everyone a big inconvenience. Our waiter came over, and he was pleasant enough and in his defense this whole initial ordeal was no fault of his– however he could’ve made more of an effort considering he was aware of what had just happened. It took about 15 minutes after we were sitting down before the waiter came over, and we had to specifically ask for waters. The menu is VERY misleading– I had the bourbon mahi mahi and the photo on the menu is some super duper zoomed in version because later on when it came, it was the smallest piece of fish ever. Less like mahi-mahi, more like minnow-minnow. We all ordered drinks and our meals and you’d think with a party this size, the waiter would be more invested but no. We did ask if we could move to the large table, as we saw the group there was finally getting ready to leave. The waiter replied«well, if it’s cleaned before your food comes out you can move.» Then of course after they left, the bussers took their sweet time to clean the table– so we were clearly not a priority whatsoever. We were FINALLY able to move to the large table after much back and forth and frustration. At that point we were all happy to be actually sitting together. Our food came out, and like I said, it was pretty disappointing presentation wise. My boyfriend’s sweet potato fries looked like they were carelessly thrown onto the plate last minute, as a few of them were sticking out of the sauce container and all over the plate. The food tasted alright, which was really one of the only redeeming things about this whole experience. Also it took literally FIFTEEN minutes for them to bring us a GINGERALE. And we were sitting maybe 2 feet from the bar. ??? ??? ??? It’s a shame, this place is huge with beautiful views of the water, but I will never ever ever come back. This meme perfectly sums up how I felt the entire time: TL;DR version: 1: waited nearly TWOHOURS to be seated, then our party of 8 was forced to be separated and sat at adjacent booths to avoid waiting any longer– then eventually got sat together at an actual table after a lot of frustration and back and forth 2: Food is definitely not worth the money– careless and misleading presentation 3: Entire staff seems inconvenienced by all of the customers and not in any rush to accommodate anyone.

I do not want to give this place any star! This place deserves poop ratings! It is Thursday night after the movies, so it is easy to go right across the street and grab dinner. Thursday nights they have a DJ, which makes it a happening place. But for an almost empty dining area, they sure do take a long time to get you seated. We waited about 13 minutes to be seated. After getting seated, looked at the menu and waited for another 15 minutes. There was no waitstaff that came by to acknowledge us! I mean if that person acknowledge us and told us, they’ll be right back, there’d be no problem. But NONE! Everyone was too busy walking back and forth and cleaning up empty tables. This is not the first time this has happened to us. I always like to give the restaurant & management the benefit of the doubt. But this is the last straw. I cannot come back here until they change their ways of customer service!

I love Fridays, but this one is the worst. I’ve given them 3 different sites at getting it right and always something goes wrong. I’m not picky, but I should get my meal in a reasonable time when it’s durum g the week and empty. Management needs to step up their game. I will not be returning to this location, I rather go to Applebee’s in Sheepshead Bay.

Absolutely disgusting. First off, the floor was very slippery to walk on. Second, the place where we were seated was very dirty. The chairs had leftover food on the seat and the armrest was oily, the menus had sauce and drink stains. There were also french fries practically scattered all around the floor. The waitress didn’t look like she even want to work or deal with this place anymore. She swept up the fries but didn’t even wipe or wash or mop up the oil or residue left behind. She had to show my fiancé something on the menu and decided to reach across the table and almost elbowing my face 6x. To end it with a bang, the water came with a leaf or some sort of green plant in it. I don’t even want to go on about the food or the long wait for the check. Never again. This is NOT for first time here but will be my last.

I know quite a few of my friends who frequent here. Most of them always come for drinks and have a really great time. I also know a friend who used to waitress here. Despite all that, I never set foot in this place until last night. Honestly, I wasn’t expecting much because let’s be real. TGI Friday’s isn’t exactly a five star joint. It’s a restaurant chain so obviously, you’re not gonna be blown away. Oh, I was blown away, and it wasn’t good. TGI Friday’s on Harkness Ave, you need to get it together. We were a party of 5. Our waitress was nice enough. Quite sweet actually, and she tried so I don’t necessarily blame her because I can see it’s not her entirely fault. It’s just management of the entire place in general. We didn’t get water at all. We asked for it twice and we only received the waters when we finally got the check. This guy brought out only 3 glasses for the 5 of us and he was actually struggling with them. Clearly, he never waited tables before and must have been new. Good luck, buddy. We started off with the endless $ 12 appetizers and drinks. First round of appetizers came about 30−40min later. Two of our friends’ entrees came shortly afterwards. Second round of appetizers took another 30−40min after we had requested them. One of the appetizers were the boneless chicken wings. The wings were great, but the celery sticks weren’t even washed! They looked dirty and absolutely dry. How can you not wash celery sticks?! Now the drinks. I ordered the double berry mojito and it was pretty much just juice, stacked heavily with ice.(Certainly didn’t help the fact that I was thirsty we didn’t have any water). My friend was more disappointed about it than I was and said that we ordered an alcoholic drink, not a glass of ice with a side of double berry mojito. Nevertheless, I ordered another one, asking the waitress if it could be a bit stronger and less ice. It was indeed a bit stronger the next time around, but it didn’t arrive until about another 40min later. After I had finished that, I ordered a pink martini and it took so long(nearly an hour, and yes we were here for a little over 3 hours at this point), we assumed the waitress had forgotten about it and was gonna bring us our check as requested. She finally brought it out, and our check didn’t arrive until 20min after we had asked for it. I can honestly say, I’ve never done so much waiting for just 2 – 3 drinks, and I’ve never had unwashed celery sticks. By the time we left the place, I was actually hungry. It’s quite sad actually because the place has so much potential with the area it’s in and the beautiful view looking over the bay. Oh, but there is free valet parking so one star for that.

The only reason I keep coming back here is because the buffalo wings are so good and because it’s close to my best friends house.(ENDLESSAPPS!!!) The wait staff here just simply does not care or even try to act like they care a little bit. They sit you down and you literally wait 20 minutes for someone to even introduce themselves as your waiter. Ordering drinks takes another 20 minutes. This isn’t a place to go to if you have a certain amount of time to eat. We’ve waited so long that when we ask for our food they bring it out freezing cold. Then the ATTITUDE they have when you ask the for the FIFTEENTH time for a glass of water with lemon is absolutely ridiculous. Like I said. I only come because of convenience and certain cravings. But other than that it’s not a place I’d tell other people to come to.

Don’t get the unlimited appetizer, they will serve you once and you will never see your server again. And if u tell someone else, they will say, «uh, u have to Order with your server» …yeah? I really hate taking a star off since I am not hard to please, but I think there are some issues that need to be addressed with this place. I understand that this chain is not luxurious or top of the line, but it shouldn’t be a terrible experience either. To make the long story short, I literally had to wait to wait… the line to get on the list with the hostess took forever. She also told me I would get a text to my phone when the table would be ready, they got rid of the buzzers, and to be honest I never got a message. I ended up missing my table call twice because it was that disorganized. When I was finally seated, the waitress chardonnay decided it wasn’t necessary to give us utensils to eat our food. How do you bring me plates with no fork or knife first? I also did not like how the waitress kept rushing me to do my next refill for the endless apps, I felt pressured which makes no sense for this deal. She also did not bring us lemons for our waters in time, we were done with our drinks by the time she brought it, that’s how long she took. I also don’t appreciate her bringing us the check when we didn’t even ask for it. I definetly would like to add that none of the employees smile, they all look miserable and don’t have great social skills, my waitress had no enthusiasm and was very cold, the hostess was not happy either. I would also LOVE to know which bartender had the nerve to hit on my boyfriend who simply asked for change of a $ 20, you shouldn’t be flirting with any of your customers that is not professional. To top it off, the bathroom was filthy, there are no staff or attendants there to maintain them. I don’t appreciate seeing 0 toilet seat covers in stock. The food remains mediocre and probably microwaved. At least valet was nice, that’s the only good thing I can say about this place.

Used to come here all the time after a movie across the street at UA. The staff back then were all friendly and attentive from what I remember regardless of how busy it got. Nowadays, some staffs are rude and forgetful or they mess up your order. As a franchise, the food is good. The typical menu items are hard to get wrong for the most part… But recently we’ve been getting at least one thing wrong. Either a mixup on orders or wrong sides or wait too long before we can get a drink refill. It really depends on who is waiting on you. To me this place has become a hit and miss.

Beautiful location over looking the bay. TGI Fridays is reminiscent of an upscale restaurant from the décor to the layout. Definitely one of the better looking Fridays that I’ve been to. However, with all of that being said it doesn’t matter because the service is absolutely atrocious. It took 20 minutes for a menu to come my way. That’s because I had to call a waitress over. Staff members passed by my table 10 times and I wasn’t acknowledged. Of course I didn’t just sit there helplessly. I’ve tried calling whoever passed by over but to no avail. I guess they couldn’t tend to me because I wasn’t apart of their section. I enjoyed the sizzling chicken and shrimp with a substitute of mac & cheese instead of mashed potatoes. I also had their house Long Island special. My entrée was delicious and my LIT was good but then it became watered down ¾’s of the drink. I won’t be back. I don’t have the patience to wait.

Hate writing negative reviews but this location deserves an update. Located right across from the UA theater it makes it an easy choice for drinks etc. I’ve been very disappointed with the service at the bar! Been back twice since my first visit(which was amazing) my first visit was fantastic. (1)The staff behind the bar needs retraining ASAP, no joke! Very unprofessional no enthusiasm whats so ever. Are you seriously going to let the bartenders chat away with patrons or on their cell while customers are sitting by the bar waiting to have their order taken? (2) the drinks are really bad any of the suggestions especially the $ 5 specials have no taste and id rather pay $ 10 for a real drink but they suck too. I don’t know if its the drinks or that the staff needs to be trained in mixology. (3) the food coming out of the kitchen is not bad but mediocre and I’d expect that from a local pub not TGI. If the owners read this I urge you to check out my other reviews I don’t write negative reviews unless warranted. Make some changes and invite us back, would gladly change my review and bring others along to do so.
