Tacos Playeros

if you are ever at Coney Island, stop by Tacos Playeros in the shadows of the very huge Wonder Wheel in Luna Park. The aromatic smell of home-​cooking stopped me in my tracks… and I was not even that hungry! I had to stop and ask the very friendly face behind the counter, ‘what is that heavenly smell?’ That smile belongs to Rosa (she and her family runs the place) and she told me that they cook there all day so the food is fresh!
I ordered a pork taco and while that was being made, I turned my attention to the drinks that are available. She has a large selection of Mexican and American soft drinks but I opted for a pina-​colada.
I took a seat and she blended me one of the best pina-​colada you can get at a taco shack in an amusement park!!! Made with fresh blended fruits!
And the taco? I am sure that a taco of that caliber can be featured in any of those fancy food show! Delicious! The onions, lettuce and tomato were crisp and fresh and the sauces/​salsa were home made!
While I was there, I saw a few people ordering multiple tacos to take home. Next time I will do just that!!!
