Coffee shop + bar that has really cool vibe. Latte art, pinball machine, cocktails, draft beer… this place has the whole package. Really nice place to sit down and chill at any time of the day. But the glass of red bordeaux I got tasted like it had gone bad.

Delicious strong coffee, friendly staff and on my way to the subway every morning!

SuperCollider, it’s a Bar, but for morning people who don’t «drink» it’s the perfect place to grab a «fast» cup of coffee before discovering the Higgs Boson

I love this spot i always get coffee here during the day. they have wifi so i can get some work done they also have a very good beer selection staff seems to be very nice and sweet people. I had the cheese plate once it was delicious.

After shopping I type into my Unilocal app: COFFEE HOUSE And up pops Supercollider 2 blocks away?! Hurray!
Walking in with my son, it was a completely different experience. We walk into a bar, not a coffee house. I see a sign that says the best iced coffee, I also see a board that has a bunch of cool beer listings.
My teenager felt a little uncomfortable sitting at the bar and some chatty guy was asking him about music. I ordered a cortado and an Americano and quickly bootskooted.
The bartender/​barista was friendly. I’m just passing thru, I’ll never come back.

Great bar, friendly bartenders, great beer. Has a nice outdoor backyard space and the best damn cold brew coffee I’ve ever had. Highly recommend it to anyone in the area. A little off the beaten path but worth the extra block walk. Close to the subway! Also– love the ever changing artwork that they display in collaboration with local artists. Say hi to Robert, Alyssa and Andy when you’re there!

A friend and I are sitting out back having a cocktail, Old Fashioned to be exact and there is this guy inside telling jokes, he is really loud and man, this patron is on fire! Then I go inside to use the rest room and realize he’s a comedian, this is stand-​up night.
Hey, it was my 4^th drink. The drink was good. Go inside, friendly folk, and fun things may happen.

I haven’t been here yet for the bar hours but it’s my new go-​to for americanos (iced or hot). strong, freshly pulled espresso shots, and no BS service. The guy who’s helped me the past few times is friendly but not in a fake or annoying way, which is good (especially during morning hours when I really, really don’t have much tolerance for the human race).
I’ll eventually meander back here during boozy beverage hour and I’m sure it’ll be just as amazing.

This is the best bar in the neighborhood, period.
The bartenders, notably Andy and Alissa, are terrific people and great at their job. Service is beyond anything you’ll get at any other bar nearby. The beer selection is unmatched, and one of my favorite aspects of Supercollider is, the taps are often refreshed, you get to find a new favorite craft beer every week!
If you’re in the neighborhood, drop in for a coffee and a croissant or an IPA and an Ice Cream Sandwich. You’ll certainly not regret it.

Great beer selection and always friendly service. Love the science themes and decorations. The place is never packed. The only bad thing is that the customers can be on the loud brooklyn hipster side of things, but thankfully the bar is big and you can find a quiet place to chat and drink.

The bartender Alissa is adorable, super sweet, and she made me a customized cocktail based on my vague suggestions (vodka, sweet, and vegan) that was sooooo delicious!
The chalkboard art looks like it was created by a professional artist.
The bar itself had a great ambiance, and the patrons were all really chill. This is a great place to come if you want to have a conversation with your friends and be able to hear them.
The bar manager/​owner gentleman was super sweet to turn off the Taylor Swift and put on music that my old ass would recognize.
I highly recommend this bar to anyone/​everyone. I wish I could have come back the next day for a latte. San Francisco needs more establishments that are coffee shops by day and bar by night. Brilliant!

This was our go-​to spot while in Brooklyn! Cozy, quaint and cute coffee shop/​bar right next to the R-​line, so we stopped by every morning for a soothing chai latte before we headed off into the city. The owner remembered our faces after our second visit there, so he offered us a rewards card and was so sweet enough to give us a couple extra stamps, just so we’d get to our free drink before our trip to NY was over. :) We even visited one night to grab some cocktails and the service was just as great. Drinks were also stiff and affordable.

My favorite local forever. Best beer list in south Brooklyn and tasty treats from Stinky. When the weather is nice there’s nothing like hanging out on the back patio.

I’m breaking records with my social life; came back here for Halloween after a party in the WV, I don’t know what I was thinking to go anywhere near the Halloween parade; for me, it’s hell on earth… I met a few friends at SC for a BDAY party and I was so happy to be there. There was a crowd but it wasn’t unbearable. We sat in our ‘regular’ spot (I’m claiming it) near the Pin Ball machines and danced the night away. There was a DJ there that night; he reminded me of Robert Smith and was as sweet as can be — no attitude and took our requests every time. It’s not often I feel comfortable at bars but this vibe suits me and my inner circles perfectly; it’s unpretentious, quirky, dark, small… I know people who wouldn’t like it but those people like ‘being seen’ and only have ‘fabulous-​looking’ friends and all that other BS… I’m not from the area or even familiar with it but I’m an 80s music junky so that’s how we ended up here and I have no complaints on service or the employees; all i know is I have a blast.

Can you ask for more than one place, right outside the train that serves coffee, pastries and beer? Grab a coffee and pastry in the morning for 5 bucks. Stop in for a beer or coffee cocktail on the way home.
The prices are very fair. Great selection of beer and other drinks. Everybody that works there is a pleasure to deal with. They’ve got pinball and other games as well as an outside patio.

Supercollider is like that perfect outfit that transitions seamlessly from day to night. I live right on the Prospect Ave R, so I can pop in here on my way to work for a morning coffee, and pop in on my way home for a craft brew and a game of pinball! It’s also become my go-​to when I’m working from home and my internet goes out. (I’ll leave it up to your imagination whether those situations call for a coffee or a beer!) A great addition to my beloved 4^th Ave South Slope/​Gowanus ‘hood.

Excellent latte. Friendly service. Will be back. Convenient to subway. Quiet in morning as a place to sit. Or quick takeaway.

Very cool coffee spot /​bar /​loungey space where one can enjoy coffee, fine music, a well priced mixed drank or a solid IPA all whilst enjoying a game of chess, checkers, backgammon or Scrabble, just to name a few.
The vibe is very laid back, casual, fun and chill. The bartender is super friendly and the crowd is unpretentious.
I shall return.

I’ve actually come to love super collider. The location is very convenient, right next to the R train. so as I’m strolling home, I like to stop by the bar. I like the fact that they are open until 2AM too. I know its summer, but when school starts, I know I’ll be here to study. They have only been open for 7 weeks, so generally, it’s still kind of slow.
When I leave in the morning, I stop in for coffee. I’ve tried their pastries too, and they are fresh and really good. The barista is here from 7AM-​4PM, but they do brew coffee at night and serve iced coffee.
Their lattes are good, not sure if they have any other milk available other than whole milk and skim though. Topped off with some cute latte art.
The bar at night has $ 1 off drafts and 2 for 1 well drinks. I think it’s just a super chill, laid back bar. They also have free wifi and the smiths playin in the back ground :)
The outdoor upstairs patio is a plus when the weather is nice. The drink names are awesome if you’re a science nerd «planck’s constant,» and «Schrödinger’s cat” — haven’t tried those yet but will definitely try them.
Supercollider is definitely a place to come check out and we will be back for the BBQ specials on the weekends.
