Not really a Starbucks fan, but the place is clean. They usually have the undesired leave the place if they linger too long. The staff is friendly and quick. Plenty of tables and chairs. The place is clean and looks like an old movie theater. Parking is not an issue and it’s a nice place to go and catch up on work or chat with friends.

The only Starbucks in at least a 3 mile radius, which is wonderful. The staff here is always exceptionally nice and helpful, and the coffee is consistently excellent, as you’d anticipate. I have been here enough times through the years since opening to say they still got it.

Staff is generally very nice but the location itself is kind of dirty and ew. I’ll buy coffee there but I’d rather drink it at the bus stop than sit in those nasty chairs with suspicious, possibly sexual offender characters who seem to live there.

This particular Starbucks would normally receive five stars; but due to the fact that in a town like Greenpoint I don’t personally like patronizing big chain stores compared to little mom-and-pop stores. And one of the coolest aspects of the Greenpoint neighborhood is just how many mom-and-pop cafés in coffee shops there are. And they’re all great. But to be fair to Starbucks, this particular location is very low-key very hip as compared to the ones in Manhattan, it has plenty of seating room for people who like to go chill or work there; it has great ambience. Again very low-key and relaxed no pressure as compared to many of the Starbucks in Manhattan. They’re always playing really good music through the speakers. One fairly new trend that I’ve noticed is that now whatever song they’re playing through the speakers the artist and song title automatically shows up on your phone if you have an iPhone, and that’s definitely pretty cool. Another aspect of this particular location that struck me wasvery good. The staff are not the happiest people in the world; but it all honesty who would be? It’s common knowledge that Starbucks employees don’t make impressively hi wage, but it’s a job and the job is a job and it’s a cool place to work I would assume. In any case that does come through in their service. They do seem to care about the customer being happy and satisfied. But perhaps the best aspect of this particular location is the fact that Starbucks has now added these incredibly delicious breakfast sandwiches — — a much needed long anticipated improvement on their formally old stale bakery items. I have not seen these breakfast sandwiches at other Starbucks locations especially not in Miami or Manhattan or in Seattle. But at this location in Greenpoint the sandwiches, they have about four or five different ones are really really really good. One could become quite addicted to them very quickly. Simply because they are just so damn tasty. Consider a croissant filled with smoked bacon cheddar and egg or another one they have is the special kind of role filled with ham monchego and egg. And still another one features double smoked bacon Gouda cheese and egg. All of the breakfast sandwiches are just stellar in terms of quality and taste, and they heat them up for you as well so in terms of a fast delicious breakfast or even lunch, you really can’t beat this place for the Greenpoint neighborhood. And of course the coffee and the espresso drinks are as always above good high-quality great taste… Perhaps not as astounding has a local mom-and-pop coffee shop, but not that much of a noticeable difference. In general you get exactly what you would expect the traditional better than good tasting coffee and or cappuccino or latte or espresso shots served at a semi-decent price. I never thought that I would ever be reviewing or recommending a Starbucks… But this place is just too cool and eager to satisfy to not at least give it some Unilocal love in my humble opinion. Give it a try if you’re ever in the mood.

I like the set up at this particular Starbucks. It’s right off of the corner of Greenpoint and Manhatten Ave. They have a big marque that was probably left over from the business before it was a Starbucks. There is a seating area to the left by the big windows of the store front. You order at the counter to the right. You can pick up bottled drinks and juices before the counter as well. They also have the pre packed stuff as well. The best part about this location are the recliners in the back to the left. They have small tables and power plugs close by which makes a great working location. You probably have to get there early as every time I’ve been here the recliners are always full.

Since I live near by, this is my go to coffee shop. There is a place to sit so four years ago I made it my office. Every weekend I take my work there to complete while I sip on a desired drink. The baristas are super friendly and polite.

Love chatting with the workers and they always seem to have fun while making the drinks! I love the strawberry Acai and for my Frapps I always get just the right amount of whip cream. Thanks Guys!

Dear Greenpoint Brooklyn, you have reminded me why I began Unilocal’ing in the first place: to warn patrons where not to visit to avoid horrible experiences like I have had. I dropped in on a Monday night at 7:30 to camp out with my laptop to do work. I should have left the moment I stepped in when it just smelled like how Starbucks bathrooms sometimes smell, but my lazy a** simply didn’t want to walk or take the G train. My barista just looked sad to be there and bored out of his mind. He was the only person behind the counter. I ordered a vanilla latte — it’s Fall and I’m not basic. … that’s when it went downhill. There were no seats left but this bar area built AROUND a pole with high bar stools. I immediately move to a table when this Bret Michaels look-alike left. He comes back and just stares at me, to which I ask, «I’m sorry. Were you sitting here?» He says, «I just need that chair.» The moment I stand up, he snatches it from under me, and turns it to the table where his friend was sitting. I didn’t have a choice but to sit at a table that was FACING a wall with 1 chair. Bret Michaels continues to talk to his friend about how he was trying to get with some chick with a boyfriend. He reaches into his pocket for his phone, and a WHOLESTACK of condoms fall out. And I’m not talking about a few, but an accordion of them since they weren’t even individually perforated. His friend just guffaws obnoxiously. In conjunction with that ruckus is a mysterious coughing person who sounded like a terminally ill individual out of a Korean drama(every time I turned around, it would stop), and a couple who had their phones + iPads plugged into a wall outlet and were playing games with the sound on blast. The whole place just felt dirty. I went home and lysol’ed all my belongings 3x and then shoved them into the washer on high heat. No. Just no. tl;dr — The vanilla latte was fine. The patrons here aren’t.

Old theater lights turned into local Starbucks. I recall when they moved in. Made my whole neighborhood experience improve. Love grumpy’s too and the local delis!!!

So recently I went to New York and I went to shop and I went to Starbucks in a shopping area on 23th street I think. But the service was great everyone was so friendly I loved the employees they were patient they never got irratated when we had to go over our drinks and I loved that they were willing to start over our order because Of one specific drink other than that I loved their service they were very nice and kind. I could tell that customers weren’t annoying and they didn’t have an attitude

I like this location because it is a «sit and marinate» kind of place. Some of the other locations want you in and out and you can feel that in the deco and just the general atmosphere. It looks like this place was an old movie theater entrance that was renovated which is also kind of cool. I love that they have so many lounge charges for people to sit in as well.

Good enough for a Starbucks. But a bit like a train station. Not so cozy is what I’m saying. Still a good spot to pick up a cuppa or a meet a friend if need be. Nothing new product wise. Service is friendly and reflects the neighborhood. I usually have the rooibos in a venti cup to go.

I’m at this Starbucks pretty often – especially on days when I want a working coffee shop space. Everyone that works there is really nice and local, so you can expect to see the same familiar faces. Starbucks coffee is Starbucks coffee, you always know what to expect. My usual is a tall soy hazelnut latte, and it always turns out how I like it. What strikes me most about this location is the old movie theatre signage, and the comfortable space inside. Many of the times I come to Starbucks, it’s to really do some heads down work, so I’m usually there for hours at a time. Can pretty easily find seating and outlets for my laptop and phone. I don’t know if it’s always true, but music is typically jazz when I’m working there, so it’s a nice neutral ambiance. There are also some interesting characters of Greenpoint that you can find there. I’m always surprised(and not so surprised anymore), but of days I spend hours working from this Starbucks, there’s a handful of others who are also there for the HOURS. It never really feels like it gets overcrowded, which is great. Whether I’m in the mood for Starbucks coffee, or I need a public working space with wifi, heating, or air conditioning, this is my coffee shop of choice :)

There is not a slower or more poorly run operation in all of New York. Always understaffed and always out of something — sleeves, grande cups, lids, napkins. On most days you’ll have to wait for Pike Place coffee(«we’re out do you want to wait while we brew a fresh one or would you prefer bold or blonde?»). Oh and of course the person doing stock while there are 26 people waiting in line should continue to do just that. Definitely dont put that on hold to help customers — make em wait!

This is the Starbucks closest to my job. I love the outside because it kind of looks like an old movie theater. Neat-o. No matter what time I visit this Starbucks, whether at 9, 10 or 11AM, it’s never crowded. The staff is pretty friendly and the store is always quite orderly. They make my drink of preference(Soy Solo Chai) pretty well, a little bit on the warm side(not hot enough). I’m sure that’d be fixed if I ask for it extra-hot side. Unlike many Starbucks locations in Manhattan, there is always a place to sit and they are usually in pretty good stock of snacks.

Best Starbucks I’ve ever been in. Spacious layout. Intelligent and very nice staff. The green tea latte was superbly made. The GTL is my drink, I get it every time so believe when I say superbly made. This Starbucks wasn’t too busy but I noticed their food was low on stock, which suggests they are busy earlier in the day. Best Starbucks to study in.
