Please, close this place down. The way they treat customers is disgusting.
I really don’t understand what happened over the phone, but whoever was answering calls at 3:45pm on February 5, 2016, needs to be fired. Old woman, raggedy-​sounding, spiteful. If someone matches that description, send her on her way… or send her my way. I’ve got some choice words for her.
I called to help my father with his direct deposit information. Some woman answered the phone. No «hello, how are you?» She didn’t even give us her name. I explained the situation to her calmly and she still gave me attitude. Because I had prematurely closed his bank account, the money was sent back to social security. I guess the information on her computer hadn’t updated because it would have told her that they moved his paydays from the last Wednesday of the month to the 3^rd. She talked over and down to us. «Didn’t you hear what I said?» Yep. She asked me that. We were basically pleading with her to get things sorted out, but then she said goodbye and hung up.
This is so disrespectful. How could you treat someone like this? My hands are shaking typing this because it was all unnecessary. Trashy office with trashy people.

Avoid this location at all costs! I spent 6 hours just waiting and another 1.5 hours being interviewed. The person interviewing me had no idea how to process my request and kept disappearing 15 minutes at a time. I had to cancel all of my afternoon plans because of they’re slowness. Also several of the staff here talk down to the people waiting, are rude and just plain unprofessional. If you ever need 8 hours to waste, then this is your place.

They need to put benches and make it more ADA accessible. I got there one time in the rain, and early. You need to get there early since a lot of people get there early. And since they don’t open until 8:30, you have to stand! If you’re legitimately disabled, how are you being forced to stand? And why? They should have benches. In my old SS office, before it closed, and before I moved, it was way better!
Service needs improvement. I waited forever just to drop off papers! And they transferred me over to another person. That was ridiculous. Just to drop off papers, you should not need to go to someone else!

Horrible service. Employees work extremely slow and most are straight disrespectful and speak down to all of the clients. No patience or general customer service. Been here 3x and literally spend all day here, 8am to 4pm. They still haven’t fixed my mother’s application.
Unfortunately, this is our zoned office. We have no choice but to deal with them.
Also the security should work a little harder, there were people smoking in the bathroom and a fight broke out in the waiting room. Terrible!
Also, common courtesy is almost extinct here. My mother is disabled and it took me having to ask the security guard to ask someone to give up their seat for her so she could sit down. There were people later out taking 3 seats SLEEPING & security didn’t even notice. Unbelievable.

So I’ve been here three times all in an effort to apply for disability and to move the process along.
The first time I was there I waited for two hours before I was called and given an appointment because it was too crowded
The second time I was there was the day of my first appointment in late July. I still waited about an hour to see someone. The case worker (if that was her title) was courteous but seemed a bit put off. She was asking questions of my mom when I was the one applying for disability. I had to interrupt the case worker to remind her to direct questions to me.
The third time was today. I got 2 letters from Social Security last week. The first one was stating my application was approved. The second one was asking for documentation of any assets and other income I might have gotten since I put in my application. The case worker today called me to the window instead of bringing me to the back. She just verified that I had no income from the time I applied. She also verified that I wasn’t getting some unexplained deposits to my dwindling bank account. She was also very nice to let me know that I could use the phone by the window so that no one could hear our conversation. It is set up as if you were visiting someone in jail.
