Ok I must admit that I don’t buy anything«fresh» here that I’m not going to cook same-day: the produce and meat all look questionable, but I generally cook that kind of stuff the day of so its not a big deal. I LOVE that this place is open past 9. Its my saving grace when I get home from work and need something other then bodega food. The prices are generally ok, and the specials are much better than ctown. I also love the cashiers– one specifically is almost like a friend of mine now and we chitchat every time I see her(which is usually 5 times a week at least!) Ctown is still the best if you have time, but this shop has a spot in my heart and in my weekly routine.

It’s nice to have another option for food in the area, but it is also really competing with C-Town and the handful of corner deli’s in the area. I’ve been a couple times now — it’s bigger than the corner deli’s, but not as big as C-Town. I also find that for regular groceries, you’d be better off going to some of the larger supermarkets in the area. Their saving grace is the deli counter. Boars Head meats and cheeses at decent prices! I’ll be back for the deli counter, and also back when MS51 kids take over the closer corner market and make me walk the extra couple of blocks to avoid the overrun of children everywhere.

I found out about this market almost by accident. Normally, I don’t pay too much attention to the never-ending store circulars/restaurant menus that arrive on my doorstep. In most cases, the 24-hour Pathmark @ Atlantic Center has better deals than any of the three Keyfood stores… but it’s also a bit further away. I’m currently recovering from ankle surgery(on crutches), so I’ve been checking out my other options since I cannot manage to carry home groceries on my own. «SMART&HEALTHY» has exactly what I need ;-) #1 reason: DOOR-TO-DOORSERVICE If you spend $ 50 or more, they’ll *pick you up + drop you off(then help carry the groceries up to your apt. floor)… FORFREE!!! Well, I tip the driver $ 3.00-$ 5.00 depending on the amount of stuff I purchase. #2 reason: PRICESARE«ASGOOD» OR «BETTERTHAN» LARGERSUPERMARKETS Very good deals vary from week-to-week… great local produce(.91¢ lb. for tomatoes). Comparable prices on meat & poultry, dry goods, juice, canned goods, cooking oils, fresh baked goods, frozen foods, water, beer, toilet paper, detergent, etc. — The deli specials are the BEST in Brooklyn… PERIOD! #3 reason: HOURSOFOPERATION Monday thru Saturday 8am-11pm Sunday 8am-9pm *The FREE Pick-up & Drop-off must take place before 8pm daily Call their number to arrange the details: 347−381−3220 ‘

Well, the best thing about this place is their specials. Is type small and am claustrophobic please understand where am coming from. Like i said the best thing about this place is their deals. Nothing to go ape about. Just the supermarket next door.

AKA«Smart –n– Healthy» per the storefront sign. This place is convenient as it’s only a couple of blocks from my house. The produce selection isn’t that great, but they seem to specialize in Latin food ingredients(peppers, cassava and yucca, Mexican canned goods, Jarritos). Decent selection of packaged goods(chips, cereal, pasta, etc). Good beer options!
