Food is good for a great price just wish staff was nicer. Spot good for take out no seating indoors can get extremely crowded in the evenings go before 7. Mostly everything is sold out after that.

Good portion for the price. Oxtails are delicious. My wife loves the Curry Goat. Try this place.
UPDATE: I think my wife and I hit this spot literally almost once a week. The oxtails have yet to disappoint. The goat let my wife down a little the last time, but it won’t dissuade us from going again and again.
Our meals cost about $ 12 each.

No fancy décor, sometimes the servers won’t even crack a smile but it doesn’t even mater because the food is soooo good. I’ve been living in this area for almost 4 years. I don’t eat many foods they serve anymore but I still indulge in my favorite breakfast every once in a blue moon. I’ve tried all the spots in the area and Sliver Krust on President St consistently delivers the best. As a matter of fact I was so resentful towards a couple of the other spots that serve breakfast because Silver Krust tastes sooo much better. I’ve never been disappointed! When I order ackee & saltfish with yam & boiled banana I am always happy. Gluten free so no dumplings but it’s still so delicious. The callaloo is good and when I’ve picked up dinner for guests they enjoyed it too! It’s one of those brilliant, in the cut, hole in the wall spots that are worth the wait.

Bought two small meals.
1. Rice and peas with curried goat
2. Spinach rice with pigtail. You have a choice of fresh salad.
The meals were very tasty! Super tasty! Incredibly tasty! Yummy X 100!!!
Getting your meal is a very regimented sort of machine which makes me like this take away spot. You go in, join the queue (I’m sure there’s always one as their food is the bomb!), check out what selections they have while you’re waiting and be ready
your order when it’s your turn.. Some folks actually waited till it was their turn to ask about other food that wasn’t in the tray. No! What you see is what’s available!
After your food/​drink is taken out you (please) proceed to the salad counter, make your choice, then the cashier then you’re out.
Even though the queue is long, the way they operate makes it go quickly.
Did I say how great their food taste! Shop aestehtics aside, I’ll be back!

The food is really good here. I’ve been coming here for some time and I’m never disappointed. The curry goat is soool good. I always get it with spinach rice and macaroni salad.

Around here, it’s harder to find jerk chicken on a Sunday afternoon than you’d think. The guy who grills outside the deli wasn’t there. Fisherman’s Cove was closed. I continued down Utica Ave. in search of Jerk Chicken. Conrad’s didn’t have any but suggested I come down here. Where I found chicken. Really really good Jerk chicken.
When I see Silver Krust I think of patties. I didn’t get a patty because a. I didn’t see any and b. I was buying two giant plates of chicken that were heaped with a pile of rice the size of my head. Will need to return for a patty. But back to the chicken, of which this review is concerned. Better than Fisherman’s Cove? Oh I am not sure. There ARE three kinds of rice (white, pilaf, and and-​peas) and as the restaurant also sells stew beef, oxtails and other Caribbean specialties there is a choice of gravy. Plus super fresh mayo-​free coleslaw or iceberg salad. So more selection than Fisherman’s Cove for sure. But better chicken? It’s really really close. Silver Krust is the one I just finished eating and it’s hard to imagine that any chicken is more spicy-​charcoaly on the outside and more falling off the bone inside. Such. Good. Chicken. I am so full yet writing his is making me want more. Their fried chicken looked pretty good too.
