Schmukler Janet Dr Optmtrst

I have been going here for a few years. My children have gotten their glasses from here. I am not sure who the other posters dealt with. I do agree the glasses may not be the most trendy (It is a neighborhood glasses shop. not a retail chain) the lady who helped me to choose my glasses allowed me to try on 10 frames, kept telling me to take my time so I would not regret my choice, and even allowed me to come back the next day and go through them again.
She did the same for my children and has always done that. I have watched her work with other people of all ages and backgrounds and she is always ultra patient. The my eye exam was very thorough, always is and the same for my children. Again this is not a flashy chain store but a neighborhood mom and pop organization and the people have always been very friendly. I had to let people know that they def should form their own opinion.

I had a great experience! r. Janet was very thorough and explained everything to me clearly. Very nice, I even brought my kids. She has a selection of glasses for everyones taste and style. Not lavish but good!!!

The incredibly rude lady that tries to sell the hopelessly outdated frames does not have time for you. If you want to try more than, let’s say, two frames she will let you know that they are all the same and that you’d better make a choice quick. She is busy.
Don’t bother with this store and if you do, get a copy of your prescription and run run run somewhere else.

The optometrist I saw today was not Dr. Schmukler, but another very kind, thorough examiner. The exam was fine.
However, the woman who directed me to the glasses cases in the black velour track has obviously never heard of customer service. She not only rudely criticized and MOCKED the glasses I asked to try, but then threatened that my insurance would not cover glasses if I took my business elsewhere — which is completely untrue.
Bad experience. Will not go again.
