I actually have enjoyed the food here many times. What I don’t appreciate is being yelled at over the phone because I didn’t hear a buzzer and then getting called a bitch after I apologize profusely and tell him to have a nice day.

This is my neighborhood restaurant. Otherwise, I don’t come back. Unfortunately, there are not many choices… What I don’t like is rice… Their rice has never got nice. It’s always dry and stiff. Rice for Japanese food should be softer and sticky. You see a shine on each grain. I assume they don’t soak rice long enough or the rice is too old. They have nice bento box. I wish they cooked rice properly.

I’ve ordered lunch take out here a few times, but this was my first ‘dine in’ experience for a late dinner. We were seated right away, and had menus in our hands with the first few minutes. Ordered up some tea, the Miso soup, then some rolls. The green tea was very mild, but miso was nicely flavored, although not too much tofu. The rolls arrived, and looked great. The ‘Sexy Lady’ roll looked amazing, and the taste was right up there as well. The avocado in a few rolls was a little softer than I prefer, but I’ll definitely be coming back here.

Before anything else — the service: If you are a sushi lover, you know that they are so busy and stresses that they have 0 patient for customers. Ordering or complaining. Sake-sushi started with a great attitude, which was a great start. The speed: It wasn’t even half an hour before they ring the bell with the food. I live 1.5 Mile from the place. The food: Always delicious, freshness is a must, and they maintain the exact balance between greasy to delicious(And if you know food, you know how fragile that border can be). I am surprised by the negative reviews I read here, maybe it is a matter of timing. After at least 4 visits, and who remember how many deliveries, they deserve 5 stars.

Very good place for hibachi and sushi. They have an affordable lunch special where you can get steak hibachi, fried rice, soup, and salad for $ 9. I don’t know of other good hibachi places for that cheap. They’re also one of the few places that deliver on Church Ave. Well worth the visit.

My regular sushi place; I go here or get delivery from here about weekly. Delicious! Great quality fish. A *little* expensive, but it’s worth it for the quality of the dishes. My favorite is the sake roll. Also highly recommend the bento box special(you get a LOT of food for the money). Yum!

Generous portions, good prices for lunch specials-bento box a good deal. Not a fan of the white salad dressing– prefer the ginger kind. Miso soup is good. Fish nothing great but pretty good. Service can be great or subpar depending on the day.

I didn’t find many places that deliver food of the same quality as if you were dinning in. After many vistas to the restaurant, we decided that they earned the right for trying their delivery services. I ordered 2 rolls(fresh) and we friend ordered the calamari. And we also ordered the red carry chicken to share. I will make it simple: I hope that this is how their delivered food is, and that I didn’t just got lucky. The food was as good as if we were eating at restaurant. The sushi was fresh and delicious, the carry chicken is my new dish. The calamari looked great, but wasn’t as good as the rest. If you live in the neighborhood, you know that you count the places worth ordering delivery from can be counted on one hand. So you will appreciate Sake!

A word of warning: Make sure you pay with cash and not with plastic/debit. Management won’t insist on seeing ID as it is NOT their responsibility and will rely on YOU to «remind» the girl to ask for it. Very disappointed with how this was handled. Shame as the food is pretty good for this neighborhood.

Disappointing visit. Wanted to love this place due to its convenient location. The staff is nice. However the meal was less than good. Food served cold, chicken seemed raw. Couldn’t even finish. :(sushi is okay. Probably won’t be coming back.

This place is alright but overpriced. I’ve never been disappointed with the service, food, or delivery. They’re very consistent with the quality of their food and service. I’ve yet to have a bad experience and I order from them at least once every month for the past year. Dining inside the restaurant isn’t too bad either. During the holidays their interiors are adorably decorated and it really adds to the atmosphere. Overall I can say I’ve always been satisfied with sake sushi and I’m glad there’s finally a conveniently located sushi spot around. I just wish that they’d reconsider their ridiculous pricing.

Sake is really underrated. Is it the best sushi I’ve ever had? No. But it’s really good delivery sushi. A few months ago, when we moved to Windsor Terrace, we ordered from every single sushi place on grubhub trying to find our new sushi spot to order from. We were really disappointed by most places and had resigned ourselves to only getting sushi when we were in the neighborhoods of our favorite sushi spots. Then we tried Sake… Fresh fish, good rolls, friendly service, and crazy fast delivery. I’m a huge fan of the gyoza, sashimi cucumber roll(cucumber surrounding the roll instead of rice) and the sashimi appetizer. My fiancé loves the sushi deluxe and the many rolls. Thanks to Sake, we can happily continue our Sushi Sundays tradition.

Ordered the chirashi lunch special because it was super cheap and upon delivery immediately realized why. Food: –salad was literally just iceberg lettuce. The dressing it came with had mayonnaise or something in it that made it a weird creamy consistency. Not a fan –rice was sort of bland, I like it to be a bit stickier with a bit more of a vinegar taste –fish wasn’t horrible. Very middle of the road. Got 2 pieces of salmon, 3 of Tuna, 2 of white tuna, 2 of fluke &2 of egg. I thought the egg was a cop out & filler. I probably won’t order from here again but if you’re not a sushi snob & are looking for a cheap special this place is decent

Ordered take out from here yesterday and for the most part really enjoyed the food. I got hibachi steak(bit dry) /chicken with fried rice and a king roll. It took about 40 mins to get here, not bad. The food is PRICEY for the small portions. I spent 30 bucks. I wouldn’t have a problem with that if I had some left overs for the next day. So yea I won’t be regularly ordering from here

I’ve never physically gone into Sake Sushi but it is my go to on Seamless. So much that I’m pretty sure the delivery guy knows our address by heart and they recognize my order when it comes in. Delivery is always within the time frame that they give, the sushi is always good and made perfectly to our request. We always ask for no wasabi because of allergies and they never mess it up! The only reason it’s not a 5 star rating is that it’s not the best sushi I’ve ever had. However, it’s far better than the grocery sushi, about on par with any moderate sushi place, and the best delivery sushi I’ve had. There prices also tend to be the most reasonable. There was a short bout where our delivery guy wouldn’t come up to our apartment but that stopped pretty quickly.(That said, if you use Seamless or Grub Hub you know that New Yorkers average 13% tip on delivery. THATISSAD, especially you Manhattanites. Tip your delivery drivers that are braving the cold so you don’t have to! We always tip 20%)

Ordered in cuz we feelin lazy. Well he was. Was fast delivery. Awesome portion of garlic broccoli app even though they said over phone it was small. Too much crunch in spicy rolls that were not spicy. What is up w these jap places making non spicy rolls all of a sudden?! Wtf!!! Not kewl!!! Meaty specialty rolls done well. Got beef fried rice as well. Typical. Nothing special. The standout was the sashimi! Melt in your mouth, subtle fish flavor yumminess. And the garlic broccoli hit da spot and was dank. Would order again.

I am a fan of this place. The sushi is reasonably priced and the quality is good. It is not the best sushi in the world, but it gets the job done. The lunch specials are actually a great deal. The Sushi Lunch box is 4 pieces of nigiri sushi, a California roll, gyoza, rice, soup and salad for $ 8.50. How can you go wrong? The décor of the place is lackluster. Very bare bones. It works, but if you’re looking for an intimate dining experience, look elsewhere. Delivery has always been accomplished in a fair amount of time.
