Background — needed a tire rotation, and did not want an appointment, etc.
1. Asked a place in Crown Heights cost for tire rotation, was quoted $ 40 (Classon/​Dean)
2. Looked up Unilocal,found this place, highly rated, called them, and was quoted $ 20
Positives:
–Fast, reasonable english
–Focus on Professional: When they put the tires back in, they put second bolt diametrically opposed to first one; none of the bolts were completely tightened, until 4 were in. All of these are efforts to ensure that the screw and bolt on the tires do not get damaged. This is long-​term thinking, and crafts-​man type work
–Focus on Professional: Note the towels on the car jack, they ensure that car does not get scratched. Fact that they are on every jack in the shop, again, speaks to their attention to detail.
I loved the fact that the rate for all activities, and most products (ex. flat fix, tire rotation, new tires, old tires, patching, etc) was clearly written, in chalk, on a large black-​board. No wondering if you are getting the insider pricing, or what they think you can afford…
Will definitely be back.

I went out to my car yesterday and found a blown out tire. Changed it to a donut, rolled by this shop, and they had a (used) replacement tire on there in less than 10 minutes for $ 45. The guys in the shop were super nice, too. Couldn’t be happier with my experience.

chucky at rush auto tire shop was so awesome and helpful. i arrived his shop late in the evening — chucky was so positive and provided great customer service.
a nail went through my tire causing the flat. chucky quickly diagnosed the problem and gave the option to plug or patch my tire. i was informed that patching was the better option. tire was fixed in 10 minutes and it was reasonably priced as well. thanks chucky — will definitely go back in the future.

I stopped with a slow leak and was serviced by Chucky who gave very polite and professional service. It is price was affordable and I gave him a small tip he appreciated it and we had a nice conversation. I would definitely come back here for bright future tire needs.

Believe the hype. I had a slow leak and they repaired it in 10 minutes for $ 10. Friendly, efficient, and on point, this is the place to go when you have a flat or a leak (or anything else tire-​related).

I was literally in and out in 15 minutes. In a town where time really IS money, being able to handle things quickly and efficiently is invaluable.
I pulled up, gave the mechanic the run down, decided on a used tire and called it a day.
They take cash and card, staff is friendly and accommodating. Even when some tool came in trying to detour the help I was receiving in order to take care of his flat, my guy was able to keep focused and manage swapping out my donut.
We had a nice laugh about this lol

The TPMS indicator light on my Audi S4 came on all of a sudden. I pulled over and took out my phone, went on Unilocal and search for a tire shop. The beauty of Unilocal!Rush was the closest and had great reviews and best of all opened on sundays! I drove to them and instead of pushing me away because the job was so small, they told me to pull straight into the garage. Jason was the mechanic that attended to my needs. He checked all 4 tires and told me I was over-​inflated. He checked and set all 4 tires for me. We chatted a little on Audis and movies and before u know it I was on my way with perfectly set tires. Very nice guy. Honestly this is such a small thing that most auto/​tire shop will tell u to go to a gas station and DIY. Or they will try and sell u shit you don’t need. But not these guys. They took pride in everything they do and in return the least I can do is give them a good review.

friendliest. shop. ever. I came here to get a tire replaced because I saw all of the positive reviews, and I’m so glad I did. Not only were the guys at the shop incredibly nice, but i also felt that they were informative and gave me a decent deal. I know very little about tires (or cars in general), which I readily admitted. The guys showed me all of the different options and thoroughly explained Tires 101 to me. I also appreciated that they didnt try and push a new tire on me, which I was really ready to buy (thinking that it would be a ‘better’ option). Neither did they try and push overly priced tires that I had looked up online– and gave me the pros and cons of all the options. Finally– they also gave me a courtesy inspection of my other tires and my spare.
Highly recommend Rush Auto Tire Shop. I may even go hang out some time just because they were friendly folks.

I went to this tire shop because of the positive reviews on Unilocal.They sold me a used tire for $ 50 that had been run with almost no air in it. I don’t know much about tires but my non-​emergency mechanic showed me the giant crease that went around the middle of the tire from being run with no air.
Five days after I replace the tire because it’s not safe I call them up and politely ask them to refund my money. The manager says no way, there’s no warranty on used tires. I give him another chance to do the right thing and say I’m going to go on Unilocal and dump on his reputation. He says do what you have to do.
I had no attitude, I have him multiple opportunities to admit the mistake they made but I guess it’s not a mistake. Maybe they used to do the right thing but now they’re a dishonest scumbag tire shop that won’t stand behind their tires or their work.
Stay away, go somewhere else, save yourself the $ 50 they essentially stole from me.

This the place to go for tires. I have been here a few times over the years and the service has been great every time. The guys are friendly and their prices are decent. Plus it is near my house which is even better. They even accept credit cards.

This place is the friendly empire of tires. I’m proud to say that the best tire shop in NYC is in the BK borough. Professional, friendly service with a few jokes to go with it.

What a nifty place! The workers are very nice and seem to have fun with what they are doing, and look like they have a passion for what they do. They’re quick like they say, and are reasonably priced. Will come again.
