Robert & Miguel General Contractor

We were referred to Robert & Miguel by our architect at the midpoint of our renovation. Due to some unexpected budget and complexity issues with our project, our contractor fell behind on our renovation deadline. Robert & Miguel were recommended to us as an alternate contractor to build custom closets in our laundry room and bedroom. They completed the task on budget and within the allotted time frame. They finished the project while we were on vacation and we had complete faith leaving our home in their trusted hands. We are very pleased with the quality of the millwork and overall execution. Robert and Miguel conducted themselves in a highly professional manner and succeeded in getting our project back on track. They were pleasant and courteous throughout the process and we would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend them to others.

I highly recommend Robert and Miguel. First of all, they treated me, a single female homeowner, with professionalism and respect, which was NOT the case with every contractor who bid. I bought a co-​op and needed someone to install a hardwood floor, baseboards, six new interior doors, and paint the entire place. Robert & Miguel did the job on schedule and on budget, and left the apartment very clean. After some months, when the weather changed, the hardwood floor contracted, causing some gaps and cracks. Even though it was past the guarantee period on their contract, Robert and Miguel promptly came and fixed the floor, at no cost to me. I was very pleasantly surprised. I plan to use them again when I’m ready to redo my kitchen.

Robert & Miguel are, hands down, the best contractors I’ve ever worked with. They are incredibly responsive, unassuming, easy to work with, and fast. Our new apartment needed a lot of work, including the building of several closets. Robert & Miguel did the work quickly, at a very reasonable rate, and barely left a trace. I can not possibly recommend them highly enough. The fact that they are also incredibly personable is an added bonus!

We discovered Robert & Miguel while doing research for our renovation of our apartment, so it could have been a risky bet in choosing them, however, we have not been disappointed by them at all.
We are designers (architecture and interior designer by trade) so professionalism and attention to detail is high on our priority list. Simply stated, the team of Robert & Miguel is in fact professional and reliable.
They responded to our email concerns quickly. Their estimate was on target with our budget, and throughout the job they were honest, and did not ask for more money. If your project is a little bit «out of the box» in terms of design and detail expectations, like ours was, you may have to supervise them a bit more, otherwise they know their trade.
While we did have a couple of minor hiccups they knew how to fix them in a timely manner without argument. We enjoyed their easy going and kind manners. We appreciated that they respected the work hours of our Co-​Op and cleaning the site every evening before they left for the day. We would definitely recommend them, and in fact, have already to other clients.

These guys are hands down the best! Very neat and clean and thorough. We own 3 houses in Brooklyn and they have handled many projects for me. Kitchens, bathrooms, layout changes, basement renovations, closet designs… They always come in on budget and on time and they have never once left me with loose ends. They’ve managed renovations for me even while I was out of town. They are fast and efficient. They always take pride in their work. And they are really genuine and kind and sincere people. A rare find. These guys rock!
