This store had something for everyone when it came to hardware and now after 66 years in business, its owner Seymour is retiring. This is a store that my now relocated to the South family still misses very much. Based on its vintage, and the older apartments around the neighborhood, Seymour often had «that part» or «this part» or any little doodad that was the perfect need for your apartment or house.
I will miss this place as its closing in the coming weeks and likely find the space becoming another nail salon, coffee place or something that will only last a fraction of the time that this hardware store was here. Old Bay Ridge leaves us year after year and it saddens me.
