We came to work tonight after having a bad experience at Olive Garden in Gateway and we are soooooo glad. We came by before not knowing the hours of operation had changed. I had the curry shrimp and the ginger lemonade which will both delicious and my boyfriend had the oxtail with rice and peas with sorrel. He thoroughly enjoyed his dinner as much as I did. We even ordered appetizers after beginning on meal because it was so good. The cod fish fritters and the jerk chicken wings are both reticent of Jamaican cuisine at its finest. We will be back. Hopefully Unilocal changes the hours I submitted so everyone will get a chance to get some of this good food.

The food was so good I had curry jumbo shrimp with peas and rice and my husband and curry goat with white rice. They also give a salad with no dressing on the plate as well. The drinks were good and strong Rick ’ s punch with 151 rum. The drinks came pretty quickly but the food took like 45mins to get and we had to get the waitress to ask. for the check the place isn’t big and it wasn’t busy. They had music that was too loud we had to yell in order to have a conversation. I will go back to try some of their other dishes now I know what to expect as far as service

Friendly but very, very slow service. Our service was comprised of a waitress who also served as the bartender which meant very slow, schizophrenic service. The drinks were delish. The food was meh. They did not have wings or plantains which is bizarre for a Caribbean joint and the codfish fritters were oily and lacking in the key ingredient — codfish. The jerk shrimp were not jerked with the exception of swimming in jerk SAUCE. I would go back for the drinks but go for food elsewhere. Glad I gave this place a try.

Someone needs to update their hours of operation. Went there last night around 1:15a and they were closed. We walked pretty far in the cold to get there too. Very disappointed!

Excellent food and drinks. This is about to be my new teacher happy hour spot. If you live Jamaican food, then look no further. They also have a good and hide selection of cheeky cocktails that will get you pretty twisted. I hope this plays stays around for good!

at first it looks like the waitress is a bit unfriendly. but that is only a false impression. even though they are not super attentive they are very warmhearted and friendly. a jamaican ting :-) food was delicious… especially the Mac&cheese. Do NOT miss out on that!!! If you can’t handle a drink, don’t order alcohol in there… the drinks are real alcoholic beverages lol

My friend and I were hungry we wanted something light but got more than what we expected. The food was hott, very tasty, drinks were made well and strong, conversion was good grown folks. The atmosphere was cool and the bartender a little cutie. I’m looking forward to going back again!

Great place! I live in the neighborhood so I’ve been here alot. The food is always great. And the drinks are always good, and not that expensive. The staff is friendly, welcoming and funny. My only bad experience was my drink was too strong on one visit. I love this place! #forever customers

This is a nice addition to the area. Family operated great authentic West Indian food with a twist jerk chicken taco, jerk chicken spring rolls. The drinks are always how you like it the also have a creative drink selection so if your in the area for a drink or some dinner stop by you won’t regret it You must try Spring rolls Jerk wings Mojito Oxtail dinner

I went to Ric’s for a night out and bought one drink. The next day I saw a charge on my credit card for $ 80. I called and tried to explain the situation. The server I spoke with sent me a copy of the receipt and it was someone else’s signature! She then refused to refund me the money even though this was clearly the establishment’s mistake. I’ve since had to file a claim of fraud with my bank. I am truly appalled at how unprofessional Ric’s was with handling this. I will never return and would never trust them with my credit card. This completely ruined what would have otherwise been a nice night.

I had the Jerked wings with the caribbean fish taco’s they were excellent. I chased them down with a spicy mojito and the Stony Hill Mango Lemonade they were so refreshing. My girlfriend had the Red Curry linguine with schrimp and and the Rum punch. This spot is a great find right by the house.
