Awesome mom!!! Best Jamaican food in town. You see what you get and no surprises. All fresh from the grill. Salads galore fish from fi ocean and lamb chicken dumplings Mac cheese rice and beans The jerk chicken is the house specialty with of course min oxtail gravy. A chicken foot soup is a super treat. I give 6 stars if I could. I keep going back. The entire crew is so nice with great music mon. Just wish the Bob Marley picture faced the crowd. Keep up the great job ONELOVE

This place is good but for some reason they always have an attitude. I’ve also noticed that you never know when the food you actually want will be available for example the shrimp pasta they do not start cooking it until the afternoon they told me it will be cooked at 4 last time I did not get a plate until 7 I was beyond furious but whatever it was good but the customer service sucks.

Just left here with some ackee and saltfish. Which I’d had here before. It’s inconsistent, I make better at home. The last time it was tasty. This time not at all. Still cost a full 7 $+ … I’m VERY wary of going back. I’ll try them one more time and update my review then, as necessary.

Yea. Its pretty much hit or miss with this place. One day the foods great, next day it’s bad. Not too sure but I think they have 2 cooks. You just gotta catch him/her on the right day. Idk. I gave it 2 stars because when it’s bad, it’s REALLY bad.

The food is good. Some standard Caribbean fare with some extras here and there. They gave me an order of fried plantains that was rubbery tho. Caribbean fried plantains are usually soft and sweet. That was disappointing – other than that, no complaints. Also… it really shouldn’t take almost 2 hours for my food to delivered.

It’s a hit and miss with their food, when it’s good it’s really good and when it’s bad it’s really bad. I think they have different cook depending on the days you go

Three stars just for the attitude the lady gave me when I asked for Callaloo and dumplings. What’s the problem lady? I’l have my food no matter how bizarre the mix is. The food was great. The callaloo was amazing and so were the dumplings.

It was just ok. I don’t really think this restaurant is organized well. The sign lists a price for certain items but makes no mention of the 3 sizes that are offered for each dish at 3 different prices. Another misstep was the serves me a salad with no dressing, and when I asked for dressing she had no idea where it was kept. I’ve had better Jamaican food and I’ve certainly had worse. The stew chicken had a good flavor, could have been more moist. The rice and peas was pretty standard but was obviously cooked hours before it was served to me. This place is a 2.5 to me, I won’t drop them to a 2 because to me a 2 is a place I would never come back to. I may come back here and try another item.

I frequent this spot often when I’m in Canarsie, BK. Not your typical«Diner,» though. It’s a little Jamaican take-out food spot. I always get the Fried Chicken with white rice and stew chicken gravy. I love when they have cabbage, but sometimes, it’s not offered and they only have salad for a vegetable. The food is always good and fresh and the prices are very reasonable. The staff are always friendly making you feel good about spending your money there… unlike Dougie’s next door. Sometimes there will be a long line but that’s only because the food is great. Well worth the wait. There are two Richard’s Diners within blocks of each other on Ave. L. I usually go to the one on 96th street, but I’ve eaten from both spots and one is not better than the other. Equally satisfying. The location between 91st&92nd Street is a smaller store.

Food: Veggie stew gets 4 ½ stars The Manish water is good 4 stars … Served on Saturdays The seafood soup is decent 31÷2… Served on Fridays Everything else… Is not a good representation of Caribbean or American cuisine. I just purchased the salmon w/pasta and everything is completely bland. The salmon is tough and has no flavor what so ever. The pasta has no flavor. I wouldn’t even feed this to a dog much less recommend it to anyone because it was that bad. They should take more pride into serving good quality food to their customers. I hope they get it together because I love supporting black businesses, but they need to get it together.

FINALLLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!! A restaurant in Canarsie that serves good Jamaican food!!!(good food period) I been living in Canarsie for years and everytime I want good food or Jamaican food, I travel all the way to Flatbush Junction to Fisherman cove. I recently started going to this restaurant 3 months ago and I’m hooked!!! Best OXTAIL I have ever had!!! The owner and cooks are so nice and friendly, the servers are friendly. Definitely different from your run of the mill Jamaican restaurants that serve you food with a side of attitude as if you’re not paying for service as well! Eventually plan of trying more things here but every time I walk in, I must have that oxtail! Whether it’s in a roti or with rice, I GOTTAHAVEIT! I recently tried the jerk chicken and it was good and well cooked as well! Next, I might coerce them into making me an oxtail salad! lol(Need I say more to convince you to try their oxtail!) [Sidenote: the one I’m referring to is between 91 and 92 on ave L]
