Came here for lunch with mom. Food is decent and inexpensive. No credit card only cash. The lunch specials are mainly in Chinese unless you’re counting the general Taos or other American Chinese dishes.

This place was completely emptied on a week night, with waitstaff wandering around the small restaurant. My girlfriends and I ordered a vegetable dish along with the Three Cup Chicken and a vegetarian lo-mein. All dishes came out pretty fast as we were the only patrons. As I took a bite of lomein from my plate, I noticed it tasted a bit sour. My girlfriends all took a bite and confirmed the same thing. We asked one of the waiter to take it back to the kitchen, he came back out a few minutes later to apologize and inform us the chef will make a new dish for us. Least, to say it left a sour taste in my mouth.

Randomly stumbled across this restaurant in a midst of raw hunger… Wasn’t sure what to eat or check out so took the chance to try this place without Unilocaling. Ordered the general tso chicken served over a bed of broccoli and eggplants in a spicy garlic sauce. The chicken was great~! Even though it wasn’t as crispy like most typical dishes, it had great seasoning to it that wasn’t too sweet or salty. Plus, the fresh steamed broccoli helped balanced out the meal too. As for the eggplants, this was quite different. A bit chewy, sweet, and spicy with a hint of garlic, this is definitely something I wouldn’t have thought of trying. It’s a unique taste and I do recommend trying it if you’re in the mood for something new. Also, this place is family style, so be prepare for big portions to share with people. I will say, this is one of the yummiest Cantonese restaurants I have been to. Service was quick and nice, food was piping hot and overall, a very homey feel to this place.

I passed by this spot but never gave it a thought. I only decided to give it a try when a friend recommended it to me. I’m glad I gave it a try. I only ordered takeout. This place is pretty small with only 9 tables. One of the smaller tables by the front was being used by the restaurant as a personal table, to put stuff on top, like plastic bags and such. I was sitting at that table while waiting for my order to come out when a group of 4 came in, they asked me to sit elsewhere so that they can use the table to sit the diners.(And they setup the table in less than 2 mins) I ordered two orders of young chow fried rice, beef chow fun, Singapore Mai fun and salt pepper pork chops. The food was very flavorful. Nicely seasoned. I’m glad I gave this restaurant a try.

If you don’t speak Chinese you get the very bland traditional Cantonese English menu. So we order classic Shrimp in Lobster sauce. Also got the hot and sour soup and the eggplant with garlic sauce. Though the food was good, the dishes being served to the Chinese patrons around us looked more interesting and complex then the dishes on the English menu. As an experienced eater who happens not to speak Chinese, I think it is unwelcoming to not give me the same opportunity to select true Cantonese Chinese dishes as the other patrons.

The restaurant lives up to its name. The food is pretty expensive for the average working person. I went with my family for dinner and we only ordered 8 plates and a few beers and the total was shockingly high. Don’t let the price bother you because the food is worth every penny.

Had a nice dinner with family of 11 at the restaurant. It was really good authentic Cantonese food. I especially enjoyed the yellow eel casserole & the crispy quail. The place is small with few big round tables that can accommodate family style dinner comfortably. You will need to know how to read Chinese to order the authentic Chinese food. The English menu does not have everything that’s on the Chinese menu. The service is pretty good as they are very attentive. Constantly changing your plate. Also the prices are very reasonable. I will go back to this place.

came for a family dinner. their largest table can probably seat 12 – 13 comfortably. we had 14 and it was tight. but when i called to make the reservation they were up front about that and suggested splitting to 2 tables. we ordered probably 14 – 15 dishes plus the soup. not too sure how the veggie dishes were but for the most part, everything was spot on and yummy. –cilantro pork fish tofu soup– was a bit on the watery side but decent enough to satisfy the craving. park asia still does it the best! –peking porkchops– nicely seasoned/flavored, not too vinegary –garlic roast chicken– either they hid the white meat or the whole chicken was comprised of 2 dark meat sides. tasty and crispy altho we wondered where’s the white meat? –shrimp w. mayo and walnuts– nicely fried, a litttle eensy bit mushy but still was crispy –clams and black bean sauce– altho the clams were probably not the freshest from the market, it was seasoned well and cooked well. these weren’t the cheap mini clams either –bitter melon w/beef– nicely cooked as well –eggplant w. salty fish and chicken– yum. not the best i’ve had but still tasty and satisfying –steamed carp– not memorable and definitely not as fresh as it could have been, but not bad –roasted quail– was very yummy and done spot on! my family raved how affordable and tasty everything came out to be. the only fail that happened was the waiter spilled one of a dishes’ liquids/sauces on my uncle on the way back to the kitchen. another thing was i brought a cake for after dinner and they failed to put it in the fridge. my cake wasn’t ice cream but still needed to be refrigerated!!! either way, we usually spend in the range of 300 – 400 with tips for this group but spent just under 300 at this restuarnat. like the other reviews, this is a local neighborhood place with just 10 tables so either come early or call ahead because it was full when we came! i think we will definitely be back for family dinners.

The staff is no nonsense, some perhaps even downright ornery. The ambiance is bare bones, although not unpleasant. The food– the main draw– is quite good!

This place is super authentic. The sweet and sour soup was hands down the best I’ve ever had. Once you break the language barrier to order, the happiness begins. The food was fantastic. I really like the location too. It’s real china town and the stores are great.

My friends and I were roaming around 8th ave looking for a place to eat and we came across this place. It’s not the biggest place or fanciest place but what I care about is the food. The food was perfect, not too salty or not too bland. The atmosphere was very comfortable and pleasant to eat in. Prices are not bad either especially for the quality AND quantity of the food. I would definitely recommend this place to my friends and family whether it’s for a casual dine-in or for a special event!

This place is a pretty solid restaurant for quality time with the family. We went here for dinner and they managed to sit all of us which was a surprise considering the fact that my family is huge. We ordered a lobster noodle dish which was very popular with the everyone including my grandmother who finds everything she usually eats to be too salty. Another dish that was good is the shrimp with honey walnuts. I could eat that dish straight up all day with a bowl of rice. The roasted chicken was one of my sisters favorites. She practically ate the whole chicken herself and that’s saying a lot. She’s usually extremely picky with food. overall if you’re looking for a fancy restaurant this is not the place for you, but if you want to have a nice family dinner with decent prices i would highly recommend this place.

This place isn’t huge like your usual fancy chinese restaurants. This restaurant will seat about 60 people. It is perfect for a nice quiet family dinner because in any other chinese restaurant we would be screaming on top of each other just to hear what we need to say. I usually bring my family here also because the service is superior here and the food is scrumptious. They change your dirty plates and refill your tea promptly. They are quick with your requests. The prices are right, it isn’t overpriced. The lobster and shrimp here is delicious!

I came here for a family gathering. This restaurant is small and is located at a busy area in brooklyn. The inside of the restaurant isn’t big but it’s enough to fit large groups. I would say. there was about ten tables there. Food: Cilantro, Tofu & Pork Soup — DELICIOUS! Came in a big bowl that serves about ten people. I’m a cilantro lover so when I tasted the soup, I was in LOVE. Soup was aromatic and each spoonful had the cilantro flavor in it. The pork and tofu is just as good. The soup had a mild flavor of pork and the texture of soft tofu was just awesome. Chicken & Corn Soup — My sister on the other hand, HATES cilantro. So we ordered another soup for the family to share. I had a bowl of this also since I love corn as well. This also came in a big bowl enough to share with ten people. This restaurant is not cheap with their ingredients because each bowl had chunks and chunks of chicken meat and corn AND egg! YUM! Bacon Fried Rice — When I asked the waiter what kind of fried rice dishes they had, she recommend the bacon fried rice. When I heard BACON, I knew I had to order it. It came in a plate that was enough to feed about seven people. The way they cooked it was fantastic. I’ve tried many chinese restaurants before and their fried rice is nothing compared to this one. The way the egg was cooked made it look like strands and strands of noodles. There was a decent amount of bacon which made it THAT much more enjoyable. This is a must have! Roasted Garlic Chicken — As you may have heard, chinese people usually believes that eating chicken will bring you good luck and fortune. My mother would ALWAYS order a chicken dish every time we go to any restaurants. We ordered a whole chicken. The chefs cut each piece nicely and neatly which showed that they cared for the presentation of the food. The flavor of the chicken was awesome! There were bits of fried garlic all over the chicken, giving it the garlic flavor. They put a decent amount of soy sauce, just enough to coat the chicken but not too much that the skin is still crispy. Cantonese Style Lobster over Noodles — Stir-fried lobster over a bed of egg noodles. This dish was pretty good, I was actually a fan of the noodles more than the lobster. Steamed Shrimp — This is usually a starter at restaurants. This is enough to feed ten people. Basically just steamed shrimp(with shell) and they provide a sweet/salty soy sauce for you to dip the shrimp in. Its a simple dish but the soy sauce makes it yummy! Oxtail Casserole — This order was a bit unique for me. Not usually a fan of oxtail but this came in a little casserole, braised oxtail with bean curd skin in a delicious brown sauce. I would order this again. Black Bean Clams — one word, DELICIOUS. Must have! Overall, this restaurant was better than average! I would definitely recommend this restaurant and since I live around the area. I will definitely visit again!

Yummy food, huge tables, and small space. Service is typical of any Asian restaurant. I love their lamb clay pot dish. It comes with preserved bean curd! Everytime I’m in the area I go back here.

This place is on 7th avenue, across the street from Thanh Da I. It’s not the biggest or fanciest place, but they have gigantic tables, so they can accommodate large groups. The décor is bright, if not a bit too sterile. It gets loud because… let’s face it, Chinese people in groups are loud. The menus are old and tattered, and they apparently don’t have lobster forks. Speaking of, the two lobster dish was cheap at $ 13, but it was also lukewarm and mediocre tasting. Lamb chops were RAW on the inside. It’s pretty understood in this part of town that if you go to a Chinese restaurant and order red meat, they don’t ask how you want it, and it comes out medium well. With the random cuts of meat these places get, it’s for your benefit! Anyway, we had to send it back to be reheated. A shame, because it was the dish we were most looking forward to. Other complaints– the tofu/fish filet casserole was half warm, half not. And some of the fish had an obnoxious amount of tiny bones. We also ordered a vegetarian dish(green beans, peas, vermicelli, tofu, bean curd) which was also half warm. What is up with their kitchen?! I guess everything came straight out of the refrigerator/freezer. Service was quick, and that’s about all the good things I can say about this place.
