This is a great spot tucked behind reBar. Stadium style seating fitted with recycled van seats may give you a flashback to your frisky high school drive-in days, but please control yourself and pay attention to the thoughtfully curated film instead of the inside of your dates mouth. You can order food and booze throughout the screening, including $ 6 bottles of Brooklyn Lager or Stella. Tickets hover around $ 10 and ours included a Q&A with the filmmaker afterwards. Check it out, get drunk, learn something!

What an amazing find!!! Bored and looking for something fun and interesting we came upon this little theater on Unilocal and gave it a try. We were not disappointed one bit in our choice. Very laid back atmosphere. A bar and interesting food choices in the theater itself. I can recommend the popcorn with garlic and bacon fat! Amazing! Great staff. The movie was original and we got to meet the writer and star after! Prices not too bad either for a night out in Brooklyn :-)

I went to the reRun theater just by chance. I happen to be in a local establishment in my neighborhood and I saw a flyer for a documentary called My Brooklyn. It was last Sunday and I had some time to kill. so to speak before the super bowl and so it was. I went saw the documentary in Dumbo Brooklyn and enjoyed it very much. Now with respect to the space, it was brilliant. I should like to have a party there one day. Now as far the theater space, the seating for the theater was quite original but very cramped. I must say, again the documentary was excellent but the service was lacking. The movie did not start on time and I found that to be very tacky and so did the women sitting next to me. I fill that this space has great potential. I encourage the staff to step up their game and be a bit more professional-looking and acting.

Aw, I really like this place. The first time I came here it was for a Fishbone doc and they performed before the show. Pretty nice, right? The theater is intimate and cozy. But there are a few confusing things, like when you purchase tickets online, the format is so that it’s hard to read and I bought tickets for the wrong time. Also, the time on the ticket is for when the doors open, not when the show starts, because you can just hang out and drink and eat almost an hour beforehand. The place is made up of minivan seats and is pretty cute. You can order food and they deliver it to where you sit, because it’s kind of a pain in the ass to get up and down from the seats. Fire hazard, but I try not to think about that when I’m there. As for the popcorn, I get the brown butter and salt, mmmmmm! So good. A large bag is more than enough, so get a small. mmmmm mouth watering.

My friend helped research a film called, My Brooklyn( — watch it: it is extremely informative and well done), and he mentioned it was showing here, with a short showing prior that he created with a friend. I had a meeting in BK the same night, so I wandered over after to see it with him and his lady. The documentary filmmaker was hanging out at the front when I arrived early and we chatted for a sec. Not important… Prior to the showing, I sat and did some busy work in the restaurant area at a 4-top all to myself. I asked the hostess if it would be ok to sit and not order, and she said totally, yep. I was shocked — I would have more than happily ordered drinks/food while waiting on a cold evening for the 10pm movie, but no need here. That is A+ in my book for repeat customer-ing. The movie theater is small — maybe 75 seats? They have a concession area where they serve alcohol and popcorn. We ordered drinks and 2 bags of popcorn. I got a bag without any seasoning(I’m boring), and my friend asked for the truffle sauce special kind. My friend never got his popcorn. Like nope. also, the owner/woman working the register was super unfriendly(maybe she was having a bad day?). I want to give this place 4 stars for that reason alone, but the other positives(noted above) really allow for the 5 stars. Overall, if you have a film screening for less than 100 people — I wholly recommend this place!

What a cool theatre! I stopped in for a screening of «My Brooklyn» and was really impressed with the place. I love the comfy couches toward the back, the beautiful bar up front, and most of all — the very friendly manager. The screening sold out so the theatre very quickly set up chairs up front and on the side to accommodate. I was surprised and impressed with how quickly they did this. They got a lot of extra people in but made sure everyone could see the screen from their seats.

wait wait wait. so if i order a beer, i get to watch this movie for free?! sold. rerun is a fun place, no doubt about that. sure its a bit different to call a theater fun, but somehow this one fits the bill. now that i think about it, rerun is probably a winner because of its full bar. alcohol does tend to make things better after-all*. or maybe rerun is a fun place because of its awesome popcorn options(duck fat? herb salt? yes please.). actually it could be the quirky re-purposed minivan seats that make this theater so unique. then again, maybe its the funny MC’s(wyatt cenac i’m looking at you) and funky layout that make reRun stand out… whatever it is, its working. Whether you come for an event or just for a regular movie, rerun is a fun little spot to bring a date, friends, or just your lonesome. i recommend. *drink responsibly kids.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars since ReRun is definitely a bit more deserving than only 3. Still, I like this spot. A friend has a film series there so I’ve been attending more than I have in the past. The drinks ain’t cheap, but they give you a lot and the food is rather pricey and doesn’t have much for my vegetarian palate. I do however like the different popcorn butter options. Still, the bucket seats are a great touch and make this place feel homey — though at times the seats are difficult to navigate. I hear the place is being redone and multiple changes are being made. Hopefully the changes will enhance the movie viewing experience and all will be happy.

reRun was a lot of fun! Despite my friend not being able to show(sads!) and me having to watch the movie by myself(loners ftw), it was totally fine :) I got to the theatre a little bit early and was pleasantly surprised to find out that instead of buying a ticket, I could just spend at least 9 bux on booze and food! sweeeeeet~ :) the bartender was very stoked about the artichoke dip(i thought it was okay), so I ordered that and she fixed me up with a drink that is kind of like ‘Nuts and Berries’ — YUM! Though the name is ‘reRun’, the flick that I watched — Nate and Margaret — was not really a reRun. it actually just came out! I suppose they have a random selection of things :) The car seats are comfy too!

I came here with my boyfriend for a showing of a friend’s film and had a lovely time. The pre-show consisted of a fully-stocked bar and odd, vintage cartoons. The theater was very intimate, but not uncomfortably crowded. I liked the touch of the car seat benches, myself; it made me feel like I was in Grease or something.

This place is pretty awesome! I love the atmosphere of the dining + bar area. The $ 3 happy hour burger and beer hit the spot. The only downside was the server screwed up the order when I asked for the check. It wasn’t even packed when I came. The movie theatre is really cool. The car seat seats is a neat idea. They’re pretty comfy too. They are pretty hard to navigate through. It’s pretty tight, like literally no space to walk down the aisle. Better not drink all that beer when watching the movie because trips to the bathroom will have you falling all over people.

From their carseat seating, to their auto inspired bar décor, this theatre is indeed unique. My new favorite spot for viewing tastefully selected films. The bar inside the theatre offers a vast array of affordable drinks and the food selection is unlike anything I’ve ever seen! Popcorn can be served in a combination of ways, with selecting what you’d like it drenched in(herb butter, brown butter, duck or bacon fat!, etc.) and what you want sprinkled on top(herb salt, garlic, paprika). Other selections as well that will have you hanging at the bar trying to pick your poison. I will definitely be back multiple times this summer!

I came here to watch a blaxploitation film with Wyatt Cenac and Donwill. I KNOW. UH-MAZING. But it gets better. The ticket was free if you come early and order something. WUHHHH? The bartender was super cool as he allowed me to order a cheap item and still watch the movie. I wasn’t hungry and I don’t drink. He also doesn’t charge for soft drinks. He just didn’t want my money. I ordered duck confit focaccia. Wait, that’s a complete lie because what I received was salty microwaved bread stuffed with sloppy joe meat. I’ve never seen a menu outright lie like that. I really should have done my Unilocal research before ordering as someone else felt the same way. Someone near me ordered the burger. It was a huge serving with fries. It looked good. Maybe that’s a better choice. Although there was something grotesque about people eating fatty foods in a theater on a car seat. I felt sickened at the thought of what drive-in theaters actually were: fat Americans eating on a portable couch, physically separated from one another. Whoa, back to the review… 5 stars for the event and service, 4 for the venue, 1+ for the food. I won’t bring the rating down just for 1 godawful foodstuff. Overall it was a great experience that felt fitting for Brooklyn.

I will never understand why, on the Monday nights I’ve gone, this place is not filled to the brim! In fact, usually it’s just my group and maybe one other. Once it was just us! Everything about it is fantastic! Food is amazing(polenta stuffed pretzel, just do it) and the filling! Drinks are great and can you really beat a bucket of beers during a movie? The seats are super comfortable and don’t feel dirty at all(super important!). They are very accommodating and cool. If I lived in this neighborhood, it would kind of be my go-to. They play some pretty interesting films here and I like that it’s constantly rotating weekly. The only reason it’s lacking a star is because it ends up being kinda pricey. You think«Hey! Free admission 30 minutes before the show as long as I spend $ 5! That’s a deal!» Then $ 50 later you don’t know what happened. But you ARE full, buzzed and entertained, so there’s that!

This theater was a bit of a surprise. Walked into ReBar and walked to the back of the restaurant to a tiny theater. There was about 60 car seats instead of regular seats which was really cool and cozy. I got a nice draft of guinness and some interesting food. We got the paprika popcorn with herb brown butter, a garlic mashed potato pretzel twist and a polenta pretzel twist. Overall, the food was alright but too salty for my liking. Otherwise, the atmosphere was great and instead of the regular concession stand menu, there’s a variety of things you can try! Next time, I’ll probably get a fender dog or a saddle bag!

Traveled from VA to NYC about four hours one-way via Bolt Bus, to support some new friends of mine whose fantastically dark thriller, THESUPER, was having its in-town première here. Kept my fingers crossed that the place would be worth the trip. Boy, was it that and SO much more! I already knew the movie was good(this was my second time seeing it), but I didn’t expect the place to match. Warm, inviting, funky-cool and very«neighborhood-y», if there is such a thing. Just soaking in the vibe and checking out the décor, this is definitely a place I would come back to again just for dinner… It was very busy and lively, but not as unbearably noisy as some places I’ve been to. The ReRun Theater(down the long hallway from the actual bar and restaurant) has the most incredible layout… digging the touch with the used car seats! Didn’t get a chance to sample more of the food, but the«brown butter» popcorn was so good it was EEEEVIIILLL, so that bodes well in terms of more great noshes to come. I’m sure it helped that it was a great night spent with some dynamite folks, but I would make the trip again just to eat here and see another movie!

This is one of my favorite places to see a movie. It’s so cozy and casual. I really love that all of the seats are made out of old car seats. I saw Con Artist here, the documentary about Marc Kostabi. The editor was actually in the audience and did a Q and A session after the move, so awesome! I can’t wait to go back here! I should also note that they have a bar in the theater with great(very strong) drink specials :)

I love this place. It’s probably not for everyone, but it was good for me! It was actually empty the night I went. There was one other group of people watching the movie, I don’t know why that is. It’s a total casual atmosphere. I had a great dirty martini, while I watched a flick about somewhat functioning alcoholics. For snacks I tried the popcorn with herbed brown butter & herb salt. It was a bit too salty for my taste, but was still delicious and I managed to finish half the small bag. I would definitely get it again but maybe without the herb salt. My friend had the steak sausage. She ate it real quick, so i’m guessing it was good for her. Definitely will be back!

I am totally crazy about this place. Accomidating, friendly, and the food couldn’t get any better. I also love Aaron Hillis’ selections for the films, very gritty, interesting… his selection alerts audiences to a lot of independant cinema they might not be aware of. I also love how the directors come to speak, and the actors. reRun theater is clearly dead set on grooming a new generation of cinephiles.

This place was awesome. I give it a 5 for idea/execution, a 4 for logistics, and a 3 for food. Really enjoyed the movie I saw here — The New Year. It had only been open for a week or so, and there were obvious glitches related: the bartender trying to make drinks for patrons while also trying to check tickets of those walking through the door. The night I went it was pretty much full, and this set up didn’t work too well. Plus it took them quite a while to get set up for food orders and the ‘cook’ to be at his post. The popcorn was pretty good, we chose to have it tossed in bacon fat and herb salt. But the stuffed pretzel was pretty bad. Microwaved to scorching hot, therefore of bad consistency when cooled, and bad-tasting in general. Had the cheese. And, they were OUT of hot dogs. I was pretty heart-broken about that. Seems weird to run out by the end of the first show when you’re doing 3 shows a night. Will definitely come back, and bring people, idiotically, like it’s mine, like I discovered it. Hope to get a dog next time.
