nice people. Terrible falafel sandwich. It was old and dry, you can tell it was microwaved or something to that nature. Absolutely terrible. Charged extra for hummus without telling me, so beware. Only giving 2 stars, as opposed to 1, because the people were nice.

I rarely write reviews but I was so happy with my lunch! Amazing green smoothie and falafel pita sandwich that was really tasty and well priced. Lovely service, can see this becoming my new regular :)

Day-old muffin on a Saturday morning and an extra charge to put water in a plastic cup. And the muffin was way too sugary. Disappointing!

I came in here with my two roommates on a Sunday afternoon. We own a juicer at home, but didn’t feel like walking 10 blocks to the grocery store for some oranges, so Refresh it was. Next time we’ll know not to give in to laziness. Okay, so we we had extra high hopes for the rejuvenating powers of fresh juice after a very late Saturday night… but we were disappointed. Especially when paying $ 6 for a smallish glass of juice. When I walk into a juice bar, I kind of expect to be greeted by some wholesome juice enthusiasts, but these girls didn’t seem to have any appreciation for the art of juicing. All of our orders were tainted by far too much lemon, and citrus whose rinds hadn’t been removed. Fresh juice is normally so delicious, but unfortunately, ours was not. Next time, I’ll be choosing the walk to the grocery store over Refresh.

I will say that I wasn’t expecting much when I walked in, but it did look clean and renovated on the outside, apart from the graffiti on the glass. My companions and I stopped in for lunch here; one of the girls was wearing uncomfortable shoes and couldn’t make it to our destination. My sandwich was actually pretty good. It was chicken and brie, with avocado, greens, and green apple slices. It came with a salad, with your choice of dressing. The ciabatta bread was warm and toasted, so it was really good with the brie. It was a large serving; since the sandwich was cut in half, I could have easily shared it with another person for a light meal. I also had a Boyland’s cherry soda… no surprises there. My companions enjoyed their food as well. The staff was polite and accomodating to special food requests. Some cons exsist, of course. They were out-of-stock of some stuff(«Can I have a Boylan’s Orange Seltzer? No? Lime? No? Only plain? Can I just have a water?») and they only take cash. I had to run across the street to the laundromat ATM, but at least my sandwich was done by the time I got back. I had fun watching the B61 buses squeeze through parked cars and the Budweiser truck that were parked on either side. Magic, I say. Or mad skills.

Terrible. The staff is as unprofessional as can be. Constantly out of stock. They keep crazy hours. This can’t last.

Honestly, I really wanted to like re-fresh. While my friends went to fulfill their taco cravings at El Loco Burrito next door, i decided to go ahead and order the«from the garden» veggie burger The guy at the counter told me that it would be 10 minutes. when i returned the food still wasn’t ready, i went to ring up my order, and the counter person overcharged me a dollar for the sandwich. He was totally sweet when i called his attention to the error, but i still ended up waiting for another 15 minutes for my totally mediocre veggie burger, which was really mushy and not burger like at all-like they hadn’t cooked it properly. Oh yeah, and even though i made it clear that i was in a hurry and that i would be waiting right outside, and the counterperson said they would find me when it was done, i re entered the café after that 15 minutes to find my order just sitting on the counter. Grrr. Yikes. Not sure if I’ll give them another shot.
