Picture this: You are 4.8 yr old. You have been in the US for about a month. You don’t speak a lick of English, well you can say«ok,» but that’s the limit really and you don’t have any friends. Also, you have never been to any preschool or school or day care in your life in any country. Then one day you are in Brooklyn in your first American classroom. I cried. A lot. But then I stopped. And when I did I enjoyed the benefits of this fine instituation. Great public school. I always wonder how much smarter I would’ve turned out staying in the NY public school system. My teachers were strict, so I learned, yet compassionate so I gained my confidence in my overwhelming environment. I’ll never forget you PS200!
