Great prices for happy hour drinks! Could really do without the middle aged men who made comments when we changed the music on the jukebox though. Oh and get some food going in that place! Would’ve definitely stayed longer if they had food to eat. Anddddd the turned off the music because the game started. Completely killed the vibe. I probably won’t come back here.

Fun little spot. Went for a birthday party and stayed for around 2 ½ hours. It was refreshing to walk out of a busy without tinnitus! I think the best way to describe the Pour House is that it’s not trying to be something it’s not. Good selection of clean, cold draft beers. I always appreciate a place which takes the time to clean out their beer and soda lines. Thanks for a good time, Pour House!

Nice spot to just relax and have a drink without the loud music and just-turned-21 crowds of other local bars. Friendly staff and a nice, clean neighborhood bar to go to with a group of friends.

I’m in my late 20s. I hate what people my age think are«great bars.» You know the type: house music playing so loudly you can’t converse, wait in line and pay a cover charge, snobbish hellholes. I need a place to kick back, enjoy a beer and speak with my friends. More like Cheers and less like every other bar ever. After walking around Bay Ridge, my friends and I ducked into Pour House for the first time. I finally found a local bar that met my expectations. Staff is friendly, fairly large selection of draft beers, large selection of hard liquor. There were plenty of TVs with every sport imaginable on. But, let’s talk about the music. It was a combination of soft rock, classic rock and all era pop music. More importantly, it was at a level where I didn’t feel it vibrating in my chest. I could actually hear the person next to me — what a novel concept. Overall, excellent place to grab a drink with friends.

HORRIBLE customer service! Today we had a group of about 12 people, the place had a decent crowd but in no way was it packed. I came specially for the shuffleboard table which I was told closes at 11pm. Why? Apparently it gets crowded and there’s no room for people to play(the table is in the back of the bar) Understood if the place was packed wall to wall. We brought in 12 paying customers of not only drinks but the jukebox. We were calm, having a great time playing and were told we had to stop playing. why? The place wasn’t packed, the bartenders weren’t busy and we weren’t harming anyone. Someone in our group was told rudely to turn their baseball hat around to the front. He was wearing a button down shirt… He wasn’t a bum, and who cares? This place is a DIVE!!! So as soon as we were told no more shuffleboard, they lost 12PAYING customers… That was probably ½ the crowd. So unwarranted, rude and BADBUSINESS! We will never be back again… ever. Sad, the bartenders could’ve probably made a fortune on us tonight, we would’ve stayed for hours playing, drinking and feeding the jukebox.

Just a quick viewpoint about this rather comfortable local bar in Bay Ridge. I stop in here every now and again for a pint or three with friends or just on the occasion when a getaway is necessary from the outside world. There is a great choice of your standard beers along with the occasional surprise that might be in stock and if you are just looking for a good regular bar then this is the place for you. For the times that I have dropped in I found a nice assortment of Rock being played and I guess this is more based on the working bartender but its nothing I would ever argue about. Price wise its very reasonable and if you need a no frills hang then do stop in, I am sure they’d love the visit. There is no food on hand and I cannot speak to their policy if patrons wish to bring something in. It cannot hurt to ask.

This is a typical neighborhood bar. There weren’t too many tables, so a big group might have to stand; it’s dimly lit; the bartenders are fine. The most important part: He was making my vodka-seltzers nice and strong!

Typical and traditional type of bar. Nice looking bar in the middle of the Bay Ridge area. A good place to just chat, drink, watch the games on the televisions, and just have good time with friends. Not much going on a Wednesday night, but one of the very few places that actually has Miller High Life: The Champagne of Beers. My favorite beer to drink.

Traditional neighborhood Bay Ridge bar, that’s a compliment! When you wanna chill out and have a fun night with your friends it’s the perfect spot! Me and my girls have been going there for years and still go there cause it never disappoints. You wanna go out and spend too much money on horrible drinks while listening to a horrible Dj, please keep walking. You want a good beer and good company, come in

Great place. Old timers. Classic rock. Bartenders kool. They actually charged my phone as I drank. Juke box until about 8pm when the DJ goes on the weekends.

Typical bar… came here on a Saturday night. It was packed full of 20 somethings, some inebriated and some getting ready to. Had a few beers and hung out.

Look, this bar will never suit everybody. Its oddball; quirky; it often feels too big and too empty; strangely echo-ey, a weirdly booming space. It gives off a discordant vibe sometimes – as if a fight just happened there; or is about to happen. And while that may sometimes be true; fights are rare. On weekends they have one of the biggest bouncers ever on-hand, so nothing untoward ever erupts. The bartenders too, are solid, handy, neighborhood guys. Lots of tattoos and loud, joking conversations about the Mets, Jets, and Rangers. But they’re all stand-up and they have the place FIRMLY under control. Very cheap prices and frequent buy-backs. INTENSE sports bar – half-a-dozen tv screens; darts & shuffleboard. The bar hosts a softball league and the regulars here ~know~ their sports. Even the girls who come here, can talk sports. Make no mistake: Pourhouse is a solid operation, which runs *very* smoothly. On weekend nights it is mobbed. Local girls know it is a fun and safe place for binge-drinking. That’s what its all about. Thronged with little honeys 10−12am Thurs nites; &12−4am on Fri’s & Sat’s. Although the guy drinkers here are usually a little thick-skulled; there’s a reason females come in here. They know they’ll be taken care of properly. Yes, there are times when its utterly dead and spooky and slightly miserable. If you come early on a weeknight or on a Friday you may notice its somewhat quiet and empty. But isn’t that a beautiful thing, really? The calm before the storm. Grab that first cold, after-work beer and enjoy being left alone for a few minutes while you collect yourself together. Listen to the muttering of the regulars. Order a bar pizza. Yes, there are a bunch of little things you can always find to complain about. Pop music starts @ 9pm; no towel dispenser in the lav. Creaking door on the men’s room. Stuff like that. Sometimes, loud political ‘speechifying’. It’s a ‘blue-collar’ bar, after all. No, not ‘retiree– blue-collar’ but more like, a ‘young blue collar’ scene. Overall, the Pour House keeps things rolling along. Nothing is allowed to interrupt the drinking. This is what makes a good dive-bar. They will actually listen to you and fix whatever’s wrong – if they can. If someone misbehaves – they get thrown out; promptly, but firmly – with no hard feelings. You can probably come back in an hour. This bar makes a lot of money but you never get ripped off, or gouged. You can easily make friends. The drinks are generous and not watered-down. Remember: Bay Ridge is chock-full of high-priced, snootier places for ‘pretty city people’ and you may come to realize that THIS is the bar where locals come to relax; let their hair down; and party hard.

It’s an interesting space. There’s a classic bar, typical of New York, where you can sit, drink and chat. But then there’s a huge open space, which when empty makes the place seem somber.

I recently took my mom and aunt here for a girls weekend. They were visiting from Michigan. We all had a great time. The bartenders and patrons were all very friendly. I’d recommend this bar to friends for sure.

This bar is not the greatest, but by far not the worst. It’s a pretty good deal, although they don’t buy back nearly as often as many bars, but that could have just been the bar tender. It is a great bar for special occasions such as Thanksgiving Eve, New Year’s Eve, and the Third Ave Festival. At all other times, this bar is lucky to have 5 people. If you like that sort of thing, it’s the place to be. They have a decent selection on tap, and I enjoy most of their specials.

I can see why some people might think this place«like sucks» or is «kind of gross» as the last two reviews so eloquently stated, but this is a dive bar and is not suppose to be serving apple martinis or showcasing the beautiful people. You come here with one mission in mind… and that is to get drunk… very drunk… so drunk that you actually think this place is clean. It attracts an older crowd that is there to shoot the shit about sports, politics and more sports. So check your«too cool for the room» attitude at the door and just go here to drink yourself silly.
