I wanted a NYC themed invite and didn’t want to do something typical for our wedding invite. I googled«NYC Invite» and PS Brooklyn came up. Within a click I found the CPW themed invite that I dreamed of. PLUS I was thrilled to be supporting a local business vs lining the pockets of some stupid Crane’s Stationery retailer. We got the invites — they’re just so special and we love them. They are a bit on the pricey side, but much like locally grown food is more $, because you don’t have the mass produced cost savings from the mega companies, it is so worth it to support local. Really so love them & kinda want to get married again just to have another city themed wedding invite! But one is enough at this point.

ps brooklyn has been a dream to work with! i just received my wedding invitations from them and i totally love them because they are beautiful and amazing and came out even better than i could have hoped! and this is in spite of the fact that the design and ordering process was conducted entirely by e-mail — i never once set foot in their shop! every single person i worked with has been an absolute pleasure… some specific examples of awesomeness: — QUICK e-mail response time — detailed and thorough answers to my very nitpicky questions — fast production time — they finished my invitations at least a few days ahead of schedule! — design customization: they tweaked my designs in exactly the way i requested, and they got the proofs back to me on the double! — friendliness and, of course… HIGH-QUALITYLETTERPRESS! in my search for the perfect wedding invitation i looked at letterpress studios all across the country, and either ordered samples of their work or visited stationery shops that carried the samples — and i can say with confidence that ps brooklyn’s invitations are on par with others that cost over TWICE as much! in fact, i paid less than half of what i would have paid with almost every other letterpress studio! so whether you pick something from their current collection of wedding invitations or you go custom all the way, you’re waaaay missing out if you don’t check out ps brooklyn!

I’m getting married in June and I have looked at so many invitations and various companies online, and on etsy. I came across Lion in the Sun and PostScript Brooklyn on their website, their designs are very unique and very Brooklyn.(I chose Clinton Hill — so beautiful). Their website is very useful, I was able to customize an invite package with font, color, and text and obtain a price quote from them in a day(SO fast)! I contacted Leah after she sent me the quote — she was so helpful, very accommodating, and willing to work with our unique demands. Leah sent me a sample of envelopes and the ink colors so I could see some options. She even customized the envelope containing the samples with the 2 fonts that I was interested in for my invitation(very thoughtful)! I went to the store Lion in the Sun per Leah’s suggestion to look at the invites in person and worked with Melinda. She had great suggestions for the various colors, design, and wording. She was very enthusiastic and fun to work with — made the experience memorable and very enjoyable. The invites are a bit expensive and a bit higher than my original budget, but the quality of the materials and service is worth it. Not to mention that both Leah and Melinda were respectful of my budget and were willing to accommodate our special needs. Melinda said that the turn around time is 10 days(but usually shorter) which is fantastic, considering some of the vendors that I contacted on etsy said it would take 3 months or so to produce the entire invitation package. It is really nice that they do everything in-house, the printing facility is very close to the store(Park Slope/Gowanus). I highly recommend PostScript Brooklyn. After searching for invitations and companies to work with for over 6 months, I’m very happy to have found PostScript Brooklyn! Their artistic vision is very unique and I’m so happy with the entire process.
