Pop’s

3.5 for this no frills burger and hot dog spot in Williamsburg — perfect joint for delivering sticky and comforting anti-​hangover food. It’s not the «best burger/​dog» you’ll ever have nor the best chili-​cheese fries that you’ve stuffed in your face. Where this place shines is its quick, made to order, consistent fare.
You ARE going to come back. You WILL get what you want. It IS delicious and for the price, spot on.
The best part about Pop’s has to be the 5oz and 8oz burger options. This allows me to go full glutton as I order the Junior burg + cheese dog + side of chili fries… Not too heavy, not too greasy… just right. That’s what this place is… Juuuuuust right. Thanks POP’S!

I am obsessed with this place. Such amazing food. Everything here is good. From the burgers to the fries to the empanadas. Yes they have empanadas. It’s all fresh and sometimes take a while to wait for the food, but it’s made with love and worth the wait! Must get the burger and ask for a side of chipotle mayo for the fries, soo good!

Scatter my ashes at Pop’s. A night out isn’t complete without hitting up Pop’s at 3:30 am for the best chicken fingers of your life (anything you order from here is sure not to disappoint). Everything is homemade, chill atmosphere, and they play good music– what more could you ask for. I only wish I had the pleasure of meeting the infamous «Pop.»

Great place for drunk eating!!! Mac and cheese all the way! And don’t forget about those chicken fingers (add on the chipotle mayo for dipping)!

I got the hot wings and french fries and i cant wait to go back. I like spicy food and the hot wings were legit hot. lol The wings were a perfect combo of crispy and meaty… not either or which happens a lot other places.
Casual setting where you order at a window and seat yourself. Thats what brought me there in the 1^st place. I sat facing the front window and ate great food while i people watched. Great night. lol

We have ordered the onion rings twice hoping for good results, but they are heavily breaded and definitely come frozen and are just dropped in the frier. Just taste like fried bread. The wings and burgers are top notch though — stick with the basics! Have not yet tried a shake but definitely want to. Good vibes and easygoing place. Not much of an atmosphere to eat in unless you just want to sit down and eat for a few minutes. Close to the Bedford L stop so good for on-​the-​go as well as coming home from a night out in the city!

Umm… I wasn’t aware that grody cheese wrappers were a topping choice at Pops. The food itself was good but it took two hours to get here. You need to step up your game Pops.

Excellent burgers, wings and chili.
I’ve been here a bunch of times and love the Juicy Louie. A delicious cheese filled burger bomb. They also have great fries, and chili.
I just ordered hot wings on seamless. Which prompted the review. I didn’t see hot wings as an option on there, and left a comment to make them hot/​buffalo. These are perfect, and arrived crispy. You should do the same if you’re ordering wings for football on Sunday, or any other day.

I love their philly cheesesteaks and chilli cheese fries. Yes it’s pretty small but whenever I’m in the mood for a philly cheesesteak this is where I’ve been going the last couple of years to satisfy my craving. Never had a bad meal here.

It’s a small place but was affordable and delicious. Would definitely recommend for a scrumtiously juicy, authentic, American burger on the go!

The place is really close to me. The price is good. And the food is real delicious. My favorite: chili cheese fries. Double pop’s burger. Hot wings. Onion rings. That’s all very very good!

Went to grab lunch here with friend one day and loved the place. It’s really small and intimate so it gave my friend and I a reason to both talk and enjoy the food that was on the menu.
This place said it was known for burgers and they weren’t lying. The food was amazing and it has definitely made my top 10 list of favorite burger joints in NY.

This place is decent. A place to get a burger if you’re craving one and don’t want to go into the city. I ordered the Chili Cheese burger and was expecting a sloppy joe style burger. Nope, the beans we cooked into the patty pretty much, making it really dry and it didn’t even taste like a typical «chili cheese» dish. I also had the onion rings and shared a strawberry shake. Onion rings you can pass on, and the shake was great!

We were quite disappointed by our burgers. The Unilocal pictures looked so good and we were happy to find a supposedly great burger joint in the neighborhood.
At the end the «Junior Burger» was flavorless (not even salt or pepper) and the «Pop’s Burger» was average and the meat too dry. The French fries tasted like frozen French fries (like those you buy at the supermarket).

«Postdrunk/​munchie paradise»
Came here a little drunk and desperate for something fried and greasy and Pop’s does not disappoint. We ordered the plain chicken wings and the chilli cheese fries and we were very pleased. Although in our starvation mode, I could have eaten dirt and been happy. The fried chicken reminds of the Korean-​style of frying chicken, so it was very crispy but not burnt.
The place is a little small, so you may have to share a table or a bench top with another group or take your food to go. It seems like this is a popular neighborhood spot because the delivery guy was constantly in and out of the restaurant. Also, the restaurant has a bit of a home feel with pictures of «pop» and his family hanging on the walls.
This place would have gotten a ⁴⁄₅ from me but the woman who takes the order (we were there june 4^th, 2015) is not the most friendly person. I just figured that she was cranky because she was having a bad night but the previous reviews suggest that she has MANY bad nights. Like, why get an attitude when I was where the hot sauce is located? I mean isn’t that part of your job!!! Just sayin’

I can’t speak to the in-​house experience of Pop’s but as a delivery, it was pretty good. I ordered a crispy chicken sandwich and a strawberry shake, and it took about 40 minutes to arrive on a rainy, stormy night. All in all, relatively quick. People complained and took off stars because the restaurant put a tip minimum of 20% on Seamless, but honestly, those are probably the people who don’t tip well if there is no minimum sooo…
The shake was satisfying but a little too milky in my opinion. The sandwich — chicken was tender and crispy, but it did arrive lukewarm which wasn’t ideal considering cooled down melted cheese is meh at best. Overall, a positive experience. Good eats and not crazy expensive.

Me and a group of Unilocalers came here after a Williamsburg event. All left happy.
Pop’s has an interesting theme going. There are pictures of a family on the wall, the cups have a photo of a pencil drawing of a younger «Pop’s». The space played retro 80s-​90s music. We had a great group with us and we squeezed into a table.
I had the Chico Burger and with the hot sauce at the table it tasted nice and juicy. Definitely hit the spot.

Pop’s is a tiny unassuming burger joint on Bedford Ave. Such a perfect late night dinner.
After a Unilocal event, six Unilocalers and I squeezed into a picnic table and had staggered meals.
I shared a Juicy Louie and Cholo burger. Love the guac and melted cheese from the Cholo. The burger had a good sear, and the meat was juicy and tender.
I loved hanging out and laughing with a burger grease dripping down my hands to a backdrop of Michael Jackson.

The location is a hidden little gem off bedford ave. If your looking for a tasty burger, made when ordered, flavorful, with just a little juiciness to make the burger oh sooo delightful.
The chocolate milkshake was tasty, (I’ve had better), but they gave us two for one for my friends birthday…(Needed more milk and chocolate). It was thick exactly how I like it!!!
The cheese fries isn’t something I ever enjoy, but this small shoe string fries were a bowl of heaven.

Seemed like a solid place to get some cheap munchies. I only got the chili cheese fries and a chocolate shake.
The fries were good but nothing that makes you scream out, «OMG! This is what I’ve been missing all my life?!» I’m a sucker for fries smothered in cheese so there’s no way I could say anything bad about these fries.
The shake was just ok as well. I would have liked it to be a bit more chocolatey. I’m not sure if it was an actual chocolate shake or «black and white» shake.
All in all it was a decent place. I’d be willing to come back for some naughty snacks if I was in the area.

Deliciosas hamburguesas!!! muy baratas en comparacion a los locales cercanos, por u$ 20 pedimos dos hamburguesas, unas papas fritas, chips con guacamole y dos sodas! El sabor es parecido a las hamburguesas de santa monica pier! Lo cual amamos! Hamburguesas caseras con una salsa secreta. Y las chips con guacamole! OMG! definitivamente si anda por el barrio pruebelas, no se va a decepcionar!
