As a student who works 40 hour weeks, I tend to gravitate to popeyes when I am stressed later at night. I find the younger staff super disgruntled especially the two young guys that work the registers. They literally are the worst. One of them literally put 10 fries in my combo order. 10, I counted them. The only person who is nice is the older Jamaican lady, I literally only walk in when she is at the register. Its not coming from the manager I believe, I have had encounters with him behind the counter

I usually try to eat healthy most of the time. But since I work right next door to this Popeyes the smell itself drags me in from time to time. For some reason this Popeyes is better than any other fast food chicken spot. They def use some type of ingredient that stimulates dopinergic pathways in your brain. It taste so good for the first 10 minutes while you eat. But then for the next 12 hours your stomach will feel like hell if you don’t usually eat fast food. Try the sweet heat sauce if you haven’t. And a biscuit is a must. Peace from Doctor P.

I’m pretty sure Popeyes laces their batter with an addictive substance. As far as the world of fast food chicken goes, in my humble opinion this is head and shoulders above KFC, Kennedy Fried or Church’s. Their sides are ok… and my favorite is the rice and beans. Make sure you order an extra biscuit too, it’s lip smackin’ good.

It’s rare to go into any fast food business in NYC and get good food and service. I can tell the staff is well managed and they always have a polite tone when they interact with you. I used to go to the Popeyes on Flatbush @Albermarle and not only was the service bad, they never had spicy chicken ready and when they ran out they would not instinctively start another batch until someone ordered it, then you would have wait 15 mins for spicy. This store is nothing like that. I have been several times in the past few months and they always have both mild and spicy available. The restaurant is always clean and the food is always hot. Food a fried chicken spot in Brooklyn, this is a diamond in the rough.

What can I say? Its Popeyes, artery clogging fried chicken. You get what you pay for. Hate their sides all but corn on the cob. Service is usually fast.

The sign for their seasonal fried crawfish tackle box caught my eye. Staff were very friendly, and Happy to take my order. Even tried to up sell me with a slice of cake. Nice try but I’m only craving your moist and crispy fried crawfish. I got the tackle box with fries and a biscuit for 4.99 $. It comes with creamy horseradish dipping sauce. I opted to try their new bayou buffalo sauce as well. You can also get it as crawfish only for 3.99 $ Their fries were standard popeyes, battered, crispy, good. Biscuit was slightly dry compared to other locations. Crawfish was delicious. Lightly battered, was happy to see nice plump chunks of crawfish and not just thick fried batter. Now I’m craving boiled crawfish. As my colleague Chad N. mentioned as we were eating, the heads(missing from the fried variety) are the best part.
