A real home style kosher bakery, going there every week for their turnovers, yum, it’s delicious. Made from real fresh apples not canned.

I go every week to podrigal’s bakery for one reason… the Sugar cookies!
i don’t know why but they are the only one to have this stile cookies witch i love!
i heard from other guys the same thing, that the sugar cookies is something u can’t find in any place

Podrigal’s has the most delicious rugelach I’ve ever had. Instead of using the typical gooey dough that most bakeries in ny offer, podrigal’s rugelach is unexpectedly crispy and still amazingly chewy. I love the powdered sugar coating on certain of their flavors (Swiss chocolate) and I’ve never found a place that makes the same rugelach style as podrigal’s.
Still, if you don’t have a crazy sweet tooth like me, it may be a bit too sugary. The only downsides to this place are the lack of décor (it’s really just a pick up shop, though you could deem this old school Brooklyn charm) and varying open/​close hours. Obviously it’s not open on Friday night or Saturday, but they generally close pretty early on weekdays too.
