prices keep going up and quality going down. their pizza used to be a treat, now it’s mediocre at best

Big ol’ slices, well priced. Definitely give a slice a chance but be weary bc the slices are very, very big. From my experience, it’s not too greasy either.

Favorite pizzeria. The slices are both affordable and cheesy. This pizzeria is the go to place for my family and i. Plus the workers are super friendly. Would definitely recommend!

If i could not give a star I would take it back, the Pizza is just ok it is nothing to write home about. the pizza was to thick like it was not cook enough, I asked for thin. But the best is that it is over priced $ 21 for a large Peperoni, Menu Pages say it should be $ 19. They are over priced for what they serve. Next time i will order from Knapp Street 2($ 17) or Pizza Di Amor who deliver to 11224.

food tastes okay. it is the place to go for cheap pizza. It will give you the runs though. The guys from work go here sometimes and always end up in the bathroom after.

This is one of those small local eat here or take out holes in the wall which are increasingly more difficult to find around the city other than the $ 1/slice places. I like big slices of thin crust pizza and over the years I have been pleasantly surprised with the quality of the pizza at Pizza On The Run. Their prices have slowly crept up(but even at $ 2.25/slice the price remains reasonable) but they have kept generous amounts of cheese on each slice and their pizzas are almost always served scalding hot… gotta love that pizza burn on the roof of you mouth! Not sure why it is called Pizza On The Run because most customers sit/stand to eat their slices or walk with them… might be messy to run with one…

Love it! Once I began working in the area, I discovered this gem. They have two locations, one of which is more for the locals, given that it’s on mermaid ave, away from the summer beach folk. Friendly staff where it being a local spot is obvious. More importantly, the pizza is awesome — and I love pizza! Sometimes I grab it to go n bring it all the way home to Carroll gardens. Also, totally fairly priced. possibly my own personal favorite pizza!

SOGOOD! The grandma’s pizza is the best! While you are waiting look at the wall behind you. The line on the wall above the tile is where the water came up to after hurricane Sandy!

So good! We stumbled upon this place by depression. We traveled from the Bronx all the way out to Coney Island just to find out that it was closed. So what’s the next best thing… food! They had a special where you received a pizza and a soda for about $ 15. It didn’t look very appealing, the place is small and there was only one customer but what the heck we were tired, disappointed, and a bit hungry. Upon ordering we saw them put a pre-made pizza in the oven. This was upsetting because we’re used to freshly made pizza but fine we had already paid and we didn’t feel like walking anymore. Upon receiving our pizza, the cashier suggested we add oregano, parmesean, garlic… etc. all of which they have on the counter, before he closed the box. Fine Mr. Pizza man, I guess, it can’t make your pre-made pizza any worse now can it? I take a look at the pizza and first thing I notice is it’s so big it has to be folded on the edges to fit in the box, second is the intoxicating smell and last but definitely not least, the melty beautiful cheese, sauce and pepperoni!!! I start adding everything I can and my Pizza man giggles. Finally, eating time! It was so delicious. Piping hot, they didn’t skimp on the cheese or the sauce. Not only was it huge but the price was right. If you’re every hungry around Coney Island with lots of friends, this place is conveniently located next to the subway. You will need several people to help you devour it(there were 4 of us and we had trouble with even downing just one slice). I recommend this little shop 100%.

this place has earned my loyalty. my go to slice when leaving the Brooklyn Riviera… at $ 2.25/ slice probably the best deal in town. i have been stuck up without a gun at a few of my local pizzerias. i cannot abide paying $ 3 for a slice of pizza. i blame the hipster doofus crowd that waits in line at difara to pay $ 5 for burnt slices. what is the Italian word for chutzpah?

This place has the same Unilocal rating as Totonno’s. Really?! If you think that’s hard to believe, you would actually be right. On a way to a burlesque show in Coney Island on a Friday night, we decided to give this place a try: Totonno’s closes at 8 pm, and we were in a hurry. We tried a slice of pizza margherita and a slice of sicilian, $ 2.25 each. The plain slice is just like any other slice at your average pizza joint: unremarkable. The crust was thin, I’ll give you that, but the mozzarella was bland, the slice soggy, and the overall result heavy and greasy. This was an A-OK slice. The sicilian, however, was very disappointing. The sauce had a sour taste that I don’t know where it was coming from, and the cheese on top was stale. This was just a bad slice. Cheap? Sure. Good? Not really. Pizza on the run like: pass in front of this place and run away.

I love their pizza! The regular slices are better than the sicilian, but both are good. Great prices. The location is convenient to the boardwalk and the subway station. The garlic knots are good and VERY garlic-y. The zeppoles are basically garlic knots with sugar instead of garlic, which was a disappointment. Great place though, with a really friendly staff.

They make a surprisingly good chicken parm hero for 5 bucks. Pizza’s not bad either. For a hole in the wall this place is surprisingly decent.

Aptly named: I usually pick up a slice and soda here before taking the subway. Decent, cheap, thick, Mex-Italian pizza slices. I give this place 1 star more than Totonno’s because, although it may not move foodies or critics, it delivers consistency to the working man without pretense and at an affordable price. (It used to offer $ 1 slices 6 years ago!)

Best cheap pizza place in coney island, there’s two locations for now, one at stillwell and another on 17th and mermaid which has seating and deliveries. Both have big slices which are tasty, and they deliver pretty quickly. The lines at stillwell can get pretty long though.

This is pizza heaven. The slices are big and thick. The sauce and cheese is perfect. You get your moneys worth here. The down sides are:(1) this place is literally a hole in the wall w/no seating.(2) the lines do get long.(3)and parking is very tough. Overall this place is a must anytime I’m in the neighborhood.
