Though I have been quite a few times and love the atmosphere, vibe, and crazy delicious house-made whiskey gingers, I felt the need to express a highly negative experience. I had drinks there last night and the bar was a little crowded but not slammed, and the bar tender was busy. Regardless, when she asked us to close out and I pointed at the pile of cash plus tip to pay for my drink, making eye contact with her and she nodded. She took my friend’s cards and closed them out. I left while my friends stayed for another drink and apparently she claimed I did not pay and charged them for my drink again, which they paid… Again. Highly disappointed in the service, I will not be going back soon… so be aware of a female bartender, short, brown hair and glasses who works earlier in the evenings on Fridays. She is nice but can get overwhelmed and double charge you!

Pearl’s is everyone’s favorite neighborhood bar in Bushwick. Definitely the best place to bring visitors who want to take in a little Brooklyn culture. It’s a very interesting vibe. The walls are covered with all kinds of old knick-knacks, candles and portraits of Jesus. But it’s very chill and comfortable. They always play good music in there — mostly classic rock, first wave, and indie(my kind of tunes!). The staff is great — very prompt and friendly. But the best thing about Pearl’s is the cocktails. They make their signature drinks with fresh ginger and homemade ginger ale, which really adds a tasty kick. I always get their whiskey ginger — the fresh, spicy ginger makes it the best whiskey ginger I’ve ever had. My girlfriend likes the«Uncle Touchy» with vodka. The cocktails are strong and come in large glasses — great value. The bar is located right down the street from the Jefferson L stop, so very easy to get to. Pearl’s is a great place to start your night out, drink away your Saturday afternoons or just grab a drink on your way home from work.

this place is a good go to local bar with decent priced drinks and not too crowded. the music is pretty good too and they don’t play it too loud. be wary of the photo booth, $ 5 and the first time around the photos all printed over exposed. Luckily the bartender refunded us.

Love this woody, rustic watering hole! Drew the bartender is fun, and the place is truly ‘just right’ in so many ways. I’ll be back, many times.

best cocktails! Always a good suggestion on a nice day and the vibe there is so friendly. If I am in Bushwick I always make it a point to go there.

There’s a reason this is generally the busiest place on a block with five bars, in a neighborhood with only bars, and a old furniture store: It’s Pearls. Sometimes I get shwasted here until 4am and talk to the doormen about life and death and the bartender(s) about puppies. Sometimes I pull some tail outta here around midnight. Sometimes I come back during daylight hours and think, ‘no kidding. looks like Manhattan wanted to pay a visit. Weirdos.’ I’ve noticed alot of people coming here because they want to say they were cool, once, but it’s the locals who make it cool, the people who live within four blocks that can’t quite get their shit together. We’re so cool for that. Oh yeah, their craft beer game is on point, so are their 3 dollar cans. So are my three dollar cans. They have ice and whiskey.

I came back on a separate occasion with a friend from the area. We loved it. We went for the happy hour specials. The bartender was patient and gave us the run down on their menu. The vibe of the place is nice and open.

Very interesting bar. When you walk in, it smells like a Catholic church. There are also pictures of Jesus on the walls. They have iced coffee on the menu, which is great if you need a second wind for the night.

This place will always be a bit special for me, since it’s where I had my first date with my boyfriend. It’s a great place for a date. It’s tiny, but it has an intimate atmosphere and a photo booth. Pretty reasonable drinks and nice bartenders.

Oh my god their Whiskey Ginger is insane. Its spicy and so good. Im not a cocktail person but i can drink this every night. Its soooo gooooood!!! And they have a happy hour deal! So if you go there before 8pm, the whiskey ginger is only $ 5! I wish they have more draft selection but so far i just adore this place!

Place that has the teacher’s cheap-sheet on how to execute a Bushwick bar in the most Bushwicky kind of way. — Tecate cans, tasty milk stout, specials involving unnamed whiskeys. –Mason jars. –Romantic mood lighting and vintage décor. –Girls with pixie cuts, boys with mustaches and Hitlerjugend haircuts. If you’re Goldilocks lost in the deep Bushwick woods, like that 3rd porridge, this bar is juuuust right.

DON’T: come expecting to find cheap drinks go with a large group of people and expect seating wear a good outfit to fit in with the crowd DO: order a cocktail so you can drink out of a mason jar get yourself in that photobooth to make memories chat with the friendly staff spend a lazy afternoon here that turns into a drunken night

My favorite place to day drink and hangout. I love that they let dogs in here. So I end up just having dog petting booze binges. Sorry not sorry.

Great local spot to grab a drink. I’ve come here a few times with groups and it seems that groups flock to this place. It’s part dive, part vintage social club(hence the name). The drinks are strong, no doubt about it. There’s a photo-booth for those drunken fun times. The bartenders are just the right amount of sweet and sassy, and the music was so good last time I was here(yeah, I like my 90’s hip hop, so sue me.) Not sure this is the best place for a date since it’s loud, but hey to each their own. Worth a stop next time you’re drinking in Bushwick.
