The food is decent, but they’re unfortunately never open when they say they are. You’ll try to open the door, find that it is locked, and the guy behind the counter just gives you a look. So… yeah.

I came here twice and hasn’t disappointed me … I love Mexican food and I like it spicy … The counter guy gives me lunch specials even after 3 pm …

They seemed high as they forgot what we ordered, asked twice, then gave us the wrong order. Overall it was quite disappointing and we won’t be back.

Everything is consistently good, and the guys who run this place go out of their way every time we order. The Chicken Mole Enchiladas are my favorite, and the chips are made in house and fabulous!

I love this place. Their chicken tacos are awesome and a great deal. They always have good music playing and everyone that works there is super friendly. I highly recommend it as a place to grab a casual bite and/or late night snack.

Pitiful mess of beans and such thrown at a tortilla for 12 dollars? Sad Mariachi trombone!

Hmm… It wasn’t bad, but I probably wouldn’t come back. Chicken Mole Taco — The meat was a little dry and not so savory, garnished with fresh onions, cilantro and tomatoes, yes, but the tortilla was a bit soggy and not crisp as I’ve had. The pickled onions however, were a nice touch. Potato Poblano — Ehh, tasted like clumpy mashed potatoes topped with salsa verde. Also had the toppings mentioned above. It was a nice kick in the mouth, but I still need some protein. Rice and Beans — Not bad actually. Nicely seasoned and cooked to a good texture for about a handful amount. Overall, it tasted okay. Service was nice. But why the 2 stars? The portions weren’t very substantial for $ 2.50 a pop. Maybe it’s expected in this neighborhood, but eh… definitely not worth it. Seriously, come to Elmhurst and get your fill from any Taco stand, cart, truck, or shop underneath Roosevelt Avenue. They’re pretty filling(check my other pics) and you get that feeling it’s auténtico.

OK tacos, questionable quality. The 3 taco combo is a decent deal and a good amount of food. I went with a pollo and mole taco as well as a side of elote. The elote was delicious, the pollo ok, and the mole was fairly bland. My girlfriend enjoyed hers but I’d rather go to Gallitos Kitchen a bit up the street.

Stopped by to get take out. Got a chicken and beef taco with chips and guac. The tacos were really good and authentic. The guac was home made and delicious. The staff were very friendly and the food was made quickly right in front of me.

My boyfriend and I were walking up Smith Street, in the freezing cold, looking for a restaurant that would satisfy us both. We stumbled upon OMG Taco, and we had the place to ourselves(Sunday evening), with a few carry outs coming in. We both ordered the same tacos: ground beef, chicken, and Korean Steak. The Korean Steak was not our favorite, but the ground beef was amazing! We also had great service. The horchata was delicious — it’s so hard to find it in NYC! It was a special evening and we really enjoyed our time there. Thanks!

When something tastes bad after 4 glasses of wine, it’s just plain bad. I write this review after, sadly, consuming 2 omg tacos. Omg, they were so bad! The«beans and cheese» looked like scooped out Cannes black beans from trader Joe’s. I wish they’d tasted as good. To call my chicken taco«tasteless and unpalatable» would be a compliment. I miss this place as Oaxaca taco. At least then they served carnitas! I almost picked up a second late night drunk dinner, this was so bad. Never again, omg, never again.

A decent place to get tacos and such in the neighborhood. The fillings are not magical but they are pretty good when you are lazy or really hungry or drunk. The chicken is good, the shrimp ceviche is good. There is a happy hour during which time you can get the tacos for even cheaper! There are maybe 6 tables to eat at. I’ve eaten in and ordered from Seamless before and i haven’t had problems with either. The guys who work here are young and maybe stoned which is okay with me so long as my food is good and they are nice which they are. There used to be a delivery guy with a fro who rode around on the motorscooter and his hair would flop around in the wind and that cracked me up every time.

I don’t understand these picture of tacos filled with delicious looking meat, veggies and sauce. My taco was filled with a tablespoon of cardboard-like-meat, no saucy stuff, and covered with melty shredded from a bag cheese. Bring back Oaxaca TACA! You can order to-go(or eat in) from Jolie. Just do it.

Love the food. The staff is extremely friendly and they have 2 taco happy hours. What’s not to love. They don’t serve beer but you can bring your own. Eat up!

I would like to thank OMG Taco for what I believe was a hangover-preventing chunk of good eatin’. Came here late on Thursday night with some pals. We’d been beveraging at Boat down the street and were looking for some grub with a capital G. The place was empty and spotless(as if they’d just cleaned the place top to bottom), and yeah, it smelled a smidge like cleaning products, but the staff was friendly and welcomed us in. OMG hit my late-night intoxicated stomach perfectly. They also have a surprising amount of veggie options, which I appreciated. I’m not vegetarian, per se, I mean, I tryyyyyy to be veggie, but anyway. It’s still nice to see. I had delicious veggie enchilada and the corn on the cob. Both divine! The servings at OMG are small, but the staff is friendly with the cheese and quac toppings, so it’ll fill you up. I think it would be cool if OMG stayed open a lil’ later for the post-bar crowd. It’s really a near-perfect ending to a bar-crawling evening on Smith Street.

Upon receiving my food I was shocked to discover the rice and beans both fit neatly in a small, round takeout container. I asked whether people get more rice and beans if they eat in and was told, «No.» Okay then. Walked to the park and ate my steak taco, chicken taco and rice and black beans. I was slightly irritated that I had to pay $ 1 extra for guacamole, but fine. The tacos were fine. The rice and beans weren’t stellar, just okay. Now I must confess, I was actually full, despite the extremely small portion of rice and beans. Eh, call me greedy. But I’m also a fan of leftovers.

If you want to talk about a restaurant that doesn’t give a flying fuck about their food or delivery orders, one need look no further than OMG Taco. I placed an order for one of their«burrito bowls.» It arrived in record time – good enough for an extra star. It was supposed to come with salsa, pico de gallo, cheese, and beans. I also paid for extra salsa. When I opened the bag it was delivered in, the thing was soaked and the bean juice had somehow leaked through the container, going everywhere. There was roughly 2 crumbs of cheese on top. Pico de gallo? More like 3 pieces of tomato. There were a lot of onions, so I’ll give them that. I didn’t receive any extra salsa, either – just the one it was supposed to come with. Flavors were decent, but this thing was a goddamn mess. A little care goes a long way.

Cheap taco combo platter to soak up some late night drinking. Not much is open to grab a bite at mid week late at night but I happened to stumble upon OMG Taco seeing it was still open. Small place, kind of rough around the edges, with a few tables and a small menu of items. Can’t go wrong with the $ 10.95 taco platter which also comes with rice and beans. You can mix or match the taco ingredients too — chicken, meat, shrimp, vegan, etc. Fast and friendly service. Decent taste overall just don’t walk in expecting a Michelin 3 star experience. It’s a down and dirty spot to grab a quick bite and move on while bar hopping or to end the night before jumping on the subway.

I am so confused. Why does this place insist of doing an exotic menu when they lack the fundamental of basic Mexican food? I am just saying I was the owner of this place I would execute a lot differently. Upon arrival, with extremely low expectation due to my spoiled Los Angeles tongue, I was surprise to see the absences of Carne Asada(I think they call it Bistec on their menu or something. why???) or Carnita on the Menu. Very confused, we asked the girl behind the cashier if they have Carnita? She stared back blankly, so we just dropped the question. Sigh. We order the Cabeza and Cold Cactus. Cold Cactus was surprising decent. Punch of flavor of tanginess and very crunchy texture. Topping was simple, onion and cilantro. And of course I drench my taco with hot sauce, which gave me a very satisfying heat. Cabeza was a disaster, I was like«what is this… mush?» Excuse me but Cabeza is meat from the head of an animal, I expect a tiny bit more texture. Not a blob of marinate. And good places usually blacken them with the grill before serving. Failed. It strikes me people keep saying this place is a good value. Its $ 3.50 for a taco people, are you insane? I’ve sadly paid this price for very mediocre tacos at «fancy» places, but this place doesn’t even have an ambiences! Sorry but I judge critically on any tacos that cost me more than $ 1.00. Cactus was the only redemption; that might have succeeded in tricking me to come back another time.

Tacos after winning a soccer game is always a good call. Their combo — any 3 tacos with rice & beans for $ 10.95 is a great deal and worth going for. However, I have to say I wish the rice & beans came in a bigger portion but that’s the fat ass in me talking. But I’m happy to have discovered a decent taco place on Smith St! The place is small but does have seating. Service is pretty fast and friendly. They do have a good selection of vegetarian tacos, such as soy chorizo(my friend said he tried it once and it was surprisingly good). For you non cash carriers like me, there’s $ 8 minimum on cards.
