I think this place gave me food poisoning. Came here on Sunday and ordered chirashi. The fish was not fresh, and the tuna especially tasted rotten. I took one bite and left it on the plate. Two stars because I let the waitress know and at least she offered to give me some other fish, but I said no thanks. Won’t be coming here again.

Yum yum cheap and delicious. I came here twice in one week while working on a job in greenpoint and both times service was quick, food was plentiful and the check was low.

Oishi sushi is my goto Seamless place. High quality food, extremely reasonable prices, on time delivery. Not the absolute best sushi place in the area but for the money I’m always surprised at the quality of the fish.

Dont be fooled by those who say this place is great– I’ve had decent delivery from Oishi before, but results vary. My last order was awful, though– avocado hard as a rock, stinky fish, mushy rice– just awful. They need to take a little more pride in their product and quit focusing solely on speed & price. I’d pay an extra two dollars and wait an extra 10 min for food that was good, always.

The goyza dough was really chewy and the accompanying soy sauce tasted off. The lobster king roll sounded like it would be interesting: Coconut shrimp tempura topped with lobster, avocado and eel sauce. It was pretty bad. The coconut was SO overpowering, and there wasn’t enough eel sauce so it was dry even with the avocado. The lobster, wherever it was, couldn’t be tasted over the coconut. The I love salmon roll was fine. The only thing I really loved was their spicy scallop roll. It has a nice little kick and the scallop is all chopped up and blended instead of being a solid piece wrapped up. I like scallop rolls served both ways but this just happened to work really well.

This is my go-to sushi takeout place. I live in williamsburg and they deliver super fast. Usually get it once a week! It is always consistent and fresh. Never once had a problem! They have sooo many roll options and the specials are pretty affordable compared to other places. I definitely recommend this over any other sushi spots.

Stumbled upon this place on Unilocal after a fun time at 29Rooms. I was looking for a fairly inexpensive meal that would hold me over until dinner. I ordered the spicy kani roll and an avocado cucumber roll with spicy mayo on top. Both rolls were delicious and I have no quarrels with the food. Spicy kani was priced at $ 4.50 which is pretty reasonable and the cucumber avocado was priced around $ 3.25 which is also pretty reasonable. The woman standing behind the register greeted my friend and I as we entered as well as brought us water. I look forward to trying more things at this place and I definitely recommend it if you’re looking for affordable sushi with a casual setting. P. S. They have some sweet deals: 3 rolls for $ 11.50(comes with soup or salad) and the teriyaki specials come with shumai, a California roll and a soup or salad for $ 7.95!

This place is another staple of Greenpoint. It seems like they depend on delivery and take out orders for most of their business, which is absolutely fine with me because it’s so fun to have the place to ourselves for an easy, inexpensive, and absolutely delicious meal. Especially on a nice summer night with the large front windows open, it can be a cute little romantic date night with a great breeze. Plus, it’s BYOB which I love for my wallet and drink preferences. Any sushi item I’ve ever ordered was made fast and well, and the bento teriyaki dinner boxes come with so much food and are pretty cheap. I usually go with salmon teriyaki if I get one, and there is so much fish and it’s amazingly crispy on the outside, which is nom. I love Oishi!

This is my go-to spot for good, cheap sushi. I always order the 3 roll combo, which is an awesome deal. I’ve also had their special rolls, which are really good but obviously a bit pricier. It’s also super easy to add things to your order(avocado, eel sauce, whatever). Delivery is fast and the folks who work there are very friendly.

The food here is. Not so good. Pro tip: go to one of the other two excellent sushi places within walking distance. I wouldn’t even order for take out. The place smells of fish and the fish itself was not very fresh. To be fair, the staff is friendly. We gave this place four or five shots, but I will never go here again. The food just is not good quality.

I ordered sushi and gyoza on a Seamless order two days ago and have had diarrhea 9 times since. Very quick delivery but the food poisoning kind of soured the experience.

Found this place on Unilocal and I’m a star whore so 4 stars and better means I’ve gotta check this place out. We opted to dine in and the service was amazing. The lady was very attentive and personable and made great recommendations. I ordered the Kani salad and the 3 roll special which was amazing. He ordered the friend rice which came with shrimp beef and chicken. His portion was huge! And sooo tasty. Only thing I’m sad about is the fact I don’t live in the area so I can’t have it more often. Definitely check this place out.

Probably the fastest delivery I’ve ever had, the food is always fresh, I get the salmon teriyaki box with brown rice, it’s amazing! Tasty and affordable as well. Best sushi in Greenpoint!

They have this really good deal on Seamless where you get 3 rolls for $ 11.50 + the fish is good quality. Also they made a mistake on my order and fixed it quickly and were super nice and apologetic about it.

This is a pretty standard storefront sushi spot. The lunch box deals are phenomenal, as $ 7.95 gets you miso soup, three dumplings, a salad, a sushi roll, and your choice of meat or salmon grilled over rice. The fish is pretty good quality, and tastes fresh. The interior is clean and bright, and the staff are quick with a smile and happy to accommodate any special requests. Will be definitely be adding this to the Greenpoint lunch rotation.

Two words: Lunch special! You can choose 2 rolls for $ 9.95 or 3 rolls for $ 12.95 and it comes with a miso soup and salad. A good appetizer with this is their edamame. Sorry I reviewed the wrong business! Please disregard my post. I’m sure this is a great spot, but I got it confused with a sushi restaurant in the Bronx.

Ok, so if the standard for averageness is the Rose Napkin, let me tell you, this place did not even have Rose napkins. To give you an idea of what I mean, we received to go menus as the actual in house menu. Between that and the prepackaged chopsticks that come in box of 1,000, no comment. Basically the place was a factory for churning out to go orders. To be fair the sushi wasn’t bad, but it certainly wasn’t good. The Kani salad was soggy. The I Love Salmon special roll had no flavor. Taste * Price** Atmosphere* Wasabi-prefab paste Ginger-not Bright pink at least Rose Napkin-No, but less than that…

I love Oishi Sushi! They have so many excellent lunch specials at great prices. You can get 2 rolls of your choice and a soup or salad for only $ 7.95! Good sized rolls too(not the super skinny ones with tiny pieces of fish). The«Lunch Box» is also a major steal. I usually get the one with Teriyaki Shrimp and it also comes with shumai, soup, salad, rice, a California Roll(if you pay $ 1 extra, you can sub a different roll)…all for $ 7.95…INSANITY! The staff here is also very nice, and my order is always done super quickly. You can’t go wrong with Oishi! Don’t forget to grab some apple-flavored candies on your way out.
