This is one of the most flavorful Mexican restaurants around. They have a great selection of dishes cooked with mostly locally sourced ingredients. It’s no wonder they have multiple locations throughout the city!

Love this place. Can’t speak for other locations but the downtown location rocks! My food is always earlier than expected and so so so good. After months of ordering from them, today they forgot to pack the condiments I ordered. I gave them a call, the guy was super nice on the phone and sent it right out. Not even upset. My favorites menu items are the cactus tacos, Korean tacos and the potato plate. The pickles jalapeños are awesome too!

It’s a small place & the staff is friendly. Nothing glamorous — I wouldn’t take a date here, but it was a great option for catching up with a friend. Great prices! I was really hoping for an empanada, but having fish tacos soothed that wound. The fish tacos were pretty great, but the side of corn was too spicy/hot for my weak palette. I guess I took the risk when I ordered it, but, a little heads up on the menu probably would’ve helped. Overall an a-ok, but not memorable, experience. Worth your try!

I went there expecting ground beef tacos and had to cilantro beef tacos which were overly spice with limes making it very unedible. I must admit they do look good just didn’t taste too good

My local go-to. I’ve been many times, so I can confidently say that the negative reviews reflect aberrant experiences. Everything is solid.

My experience with the Oaxaca Taqueria on the U.E.S. has been very hit or miss, service-wise, but good food-wise. This location of O.T. is great in terms of both service AND food. Plus, I can be in and out of there with my food in about 10 minutes, happily plopped back onto my stool at Mission Dolores. Ha! Per usual, great food; can’t go wrong with their carnitas. I’m especially a fan of their carnitas enchiladas; two of those, smothered in cheese, onions, and verde sauce, is just the perfect amount of food, regardless of whether or not you’re day drinking. ;-)

We came here on a Friday @ 5:15pm. My son loves the chicken quesadilla, which is why I’m here… The gentleman behind the customer seemed annoyed to take my order. Didn’t crack a smile, very dry. They are not friendly here. I think this is the last time I will be coming here. It’s on my agenda to find another Mexican restaurant that makes a good quesadilla.

I have to give this taqueria just mediocre ratings. I had three tacos: an al pastor, a Korean, and a chicken mole. The best taco of the lot was the Korean, which is not what I would have expected from a Mexican restaurant. The al pastor taco was actually the worst of the bunch: the spices were so strong, particularly the salt, that it completely ruined the taco. I could barely taste the pineapple over the intense saltiness. The chicken mole taco was pretty average as well. I would be willing to pay a little more for truly gourmet Mexican, but based on the quality and size of the tacos(average and medium-small), the prices are pretty steep. In fact, I think that the $ rating this place gets is flat out wrong, based on an average sized meal cost of over $ 15, I would put this place in a $$ category.

Fuck these guys. One hour and TWENTYMINUTES later and our food is still not here. My husband just called for the second time and they told him«we could just cancel if we want.» No apology, no nothing. Terrible way to run a business. Hope they shut down– can’t see them lasting at this rate…

I had the Korean taco, the cold pickled cactus taco, and the mole chicken in this tiny chill hole in the wall in Park Slope. All three were super delicious and had awesome spicy balanced juicy flavours. I would gladly eat any of them and all of them again right now. My favourite was the Korean with the bulgolgi beef — worked amazingly well as a taco. Friendly quick staff, 4 tables maybe, very low key, very worth passing by for an affordable awesome meal in Park Slope.

Seems to be a lot of negative reviews… i dont get it This is my local taco spot(Im a half a block away), I have been here a million and one times and I love it. I have never had a bad experience at Oaxaca. NOT. ONCE. Full disclosure: I only get tacos here, so for those looking for burritos, enchiladas, etc… sorry, my review doesnt apply to you… but you cant go wrong with any of the tacos… also ask for their different salsas as they dont offer them unless you ask for them. Salsa verde is off the hook good

Kept us waiting for over half an hour to serve all people arriving after us plus a long backlog of seamless and grub hub orders… Really disappointing especially since their Hoyt St outlet is just brilliant!

Friday night delivery — fast(35 mins total) Guac has lots of avocado and lime flavor, some corn mixed in. Chips come in a plastic bag. Also served with chipotle? salsa. Esquite had lots of corn, a bit apicy. 2 stars for food quality but 3 bc of 3 taco with rice and beans special. Korean taco is the best but not in comparison to more authentic ones. The sauce makes it tasty. The chicken mole one has good flavor but I decided I don’t like stewed meat on tacos. Same with the barbacoa. Not again.

My first time ever ordering from this restaurant, the person Andrew who picked up the phone was super rude, I couldn’t see the number on the back of my card and had to repeat it, he literally told me that I wasn’t the only person that he was servicing and some other super rude crap after he had me on hold for a super long time, from the inception he seemed super disinterested in giving any kind of customer service. I will never order from here afain. When I asked to speak to a manager he told me he was going to have to hang up there was no manager on the premises. Top of really terrible customer svc the food took 1HOURAND40MINUTES to get to us. I wanted to cancel but my friend was hungry and was already after 10… so rude unprofessional and delivery time almost 2 hours the manager Kevin equally as rude. I didn’t even eat it took too long so I left and went home. The manager said he was going to refund my 28 bucks, but he even managed to be rude while telling me about the refund… we already did what we had to do on our end the rest is your banks problem. I would be very careful ordering from them… I WILLNEVERORDERFROMTHESEGUYSAGAIN. I order take out everday too busy to cook. never these guys. A little customer service goes a Looooong way!

I’ll start off by saying I definitely want to come back to try more of their menu. The shrimp burrito, was satisfying, but I believe other option main the menu might be better. Although a bit slow at rush hour, the guy behind the counter was great. Definitely want to explore their specials as they seek to have potential.

Came for the 2,50 $ happy hour tacos and left happy, full and feeling like I stole something as the prices were so good. Phoned the order in 1 minute before the end of happy hour from outside the window of the place as I had my dog with me and the guy, even though they were slammed, brought my order to me outside with a huge smile and brought me my change. The bean tacos ruled, the tortillas were done perfectly and they weren’t overloaded like most places, so my lap remained clean after chowing down. My partner had the pork and the chicken tacos and he loved his as well.

«A fool and his money are soon parted.» After I dropped $ 8 here today on a shrimp burrito, that’s how I feel. We don’t ask much of our Mexican food around here, those of us who are from out west and know how it’s done. But this burrito was barely warm; its flavor was flat and unremarkable in all directions; its shrimp had the texture of packing peanuts. When you drop $ 8 on a burrito, size should not be an issue. If it’s small, it should make your eyes roll with foodgasm. If it’s large, at least it has that going for it. Not everybody likes Chipotle, but nobody ever walks out hungry. It is difficult to fail in both of these dimensions, but Oaxaca has succeeded. This dinky, dull, $ 8 burrito would easily be the most delicious thing in any college dining hall. But if I’m gonna eviscerate my paycheck to live in this unaffordable and comically bougey part of Brooklyn, I want better.

Sadly, this location of Oaxaca Taqueria seems has gone downhill through the years. Tortillas were a bit dry/hard — needed some TLC, aka oil/lard on the flattop when being heated. The hard rice and beans were served to me lukewarm — lukewarm rice is a big no-no and great incubator for foodborne illness — which could possibly explain my mild tummyache later that night. Nopales filling was nice and briney, not slimy, slightly spicy. Good ratio of filling to salsa/cheese/garnishes. I generally have liked the offerings at Oaxaca in the past but likely won’t return to this particular branch to get my taco fix.

Ordered from seamless and the delivery was fast. However, I ordered a salad with shrimp and sadly, it was almost inedible. I’m not sure why they didn’t put the dressing on the side, but it was mixed in my salad, which meant a very mushy salad upon arrival. The shrimp was chopped up, I assume to make it appear like more shrimp than it was. The shrimp was horribly overcooked and chewy. I didn’t care for the dressing either, which would’ve been fine, had they not mixed in the dressing. The salad claimed to include black beans, which it did, 9 beans exactly. The red onions were pickled(why?!) and the tomatoes didn’t taste fresh. Unfortunately, my dinner was ruined and I’m $ 10.85 poorer.

We found this place by accident walking around the neighbourhood. Boy are we glad we did. These are some tasty tacos. It was a great spot to stop for a late lunch. Now if they only served beer.

Came here for the first time with some friends. We ordered quesadillas and tacos. They were pretty good and the wait wasn’t too long. I ordered their horchata that was pretty good. Nothing super memorable about this place but it was nearby and hit the spot. Great little place with nice staff.

Oaxaca Taqueria has been a faithful companion throughout my life in Brooklyn. I haven’t been to any of the other locations, but this Oaxaca has been there for me through quick dinners before a show, impromptu celebrations taking advantage of their BYOB policy, and they’ve even catered my birthday at a nearby bar. I love the Al Pastor and Carnitas, not so much into the chorizo. Be prepared to catch the saucy deliciousness as it drips out of your taco — these can get a little messy but of course it’s worth it. Taco Santo is about a block away, I like their tortillas a lot and they have interesting specials but for the solid, everyday, drown-your-sorrows-in-salsa taco, it’s Oaxaca, no contest.
