This deli/bodega is a decent spot to pick up beer, a lemon, a sandwich that wont kill you, and other assorted misc items your neighborhood corner store should carry. The punchline is they have a JUICER, but they don’t know how to use it. More importantly, if they would invest in just a *little* bit of organic produce to make real healthy juices, they could be sitting on a goldmine. The banner outside says«JUICES– carrot, apple, spinach and BARSLEY». You mean… PARSELY? Ahhh. if they only knew what a juice bar could do for the neighborhood. I’m encouraging all locals to go in and ask if they make a good green juice! Kale, spinach, cucumber, ginger, etc etc. C’mon! Lets help them make it happen in Bushiwck.

This place makes a good phillie cheese steak, the coffee is fresh and the service is quick. They have a large variety of foods to choose from– hot and cold. Try not to catch the dinner rush from Wyckoff hospital.

New Way is a really basic large bodega/grocery store. Not really a supermarket. It doesn’t have super good or varied selection on anything, but it’ll meet most needs. You are probably asking yourself: «why am I reading this?» or «why should I go there?» or «Is this a pimple or a boil?»(it’s a gummy bear). Here’s why: They have a really great and super cheap deli that also doubles as a short-order kitchen. They used to have this great deal. $ 3.50 for a huge philly cheesesteak with your choice of boar’s head cheese. Then they raised all the prices a dollar. Still, a pretty solid deal for some pretty solid grub. They’ve got tons of stuff on the menu and it’s open real late. Check it out for something hot, tasty and cheap. Warning: like many bodega/markets, it’s cash only.
